99% of riders couldn't care less about lap times. We want something fun and exotic that looks and sounds amazing. In a culture full of snowflakes and pussies,we need an outlet for adrenaline and testosterone that won't leave us in prison ir with a venereal disease.
I love the review... a true review. Most vloggers/content creators cannot and will not ever understand the true engineering feat that this bike is. Great content guys!
I just don't understand why everyone is hyped about this thing being an engineering marvel when its still slower on track than two bikes that haven't had a ground up overall in over 5 years. Looking at you, S1000rr and RSV4rr. Like cool, it's an 1100 that's fast in a straight line. Busa and Zx14s have been doing that for ages. What's the hype about?

The hayabusa can't corner as good as this nor have the same amount of technology, and Ducati had been having faster bikes since the Ducati desmosedici RR and even back then that road legal Moto GP bike was faster, so what are you gonna say now loser? Just cause you had a bad day doesn't mean you got to lie to everyone

Really don’t want to sound like a sycophant, but you guys have really hit your stride and are killing it content-wise. Bra-fucking-vo lads, it’s about time we had a consistently decent bike channel that combines decent ability and just down to earth vibe.
It makes my head hurt to even try and understand how this channel doesnt have millions of subscribers, outstanding as usually thanks for doing what you do.

One thing I dont quite get is why Ducati didnt chosse 999cc as displacement. Of course nobody says, that yor are not allowed to have an bigger engine. But I would like to see if the bike was still as awesome with the same displacement of all the other superbikes. But still an awesome machine

Great review as always guys. As for the bike I think the biggest problem with it is the same problem as all superbikes now. The price, this will do nothing to help Ducati's bottom line or the shrinking market of the industry in general. Sounds like it's an absolute weapon, and the engineers have hit the marks they were aiming for. But as a rider of 21 years I just can't reason a super bike that costs more than many cars. Especially when I can get 90% of the fun out of an aver sport naked that costs thousands and thousands less. Great to see 44teeth doing so well, and I can't wait for you guys to come over to the US for some two wheeled shenanigans!
Miran Kajtna oh its definitely the same, but the high end sports car market isn't trending downward as badly as it looks like motorcycle sales are. There's a severe lack of younger riders getting into the sport right now. And prices like those aren't going to change that. That was more my point. The serious sport bike riders will buy a cheap track bike and beat the piss out of it before they buy something like this. So that coupled with the shrinking audience will make this bike a hard sell. Or at least a hard sell for the amounts of units I'm sure Ducati is hoping for.
gonzo221 I agree, even with the means to buy one, unless you are doing alot of track days like it's meant for, it is well too pricey for a street ridden sport bike. That's why I love my more wallet friendly Aprilia RSV4, great for those once in a while track days and still decent for aggressive street riding.
It's also alot more bike than any recreational intermediate track day goer needs. Like you said, better to have a smaller displacement, cheaper sportbike to thrash on the track that isn't scary or worried about beating up. You learn alot more and improve your riing better on something smaller and less pricey. Maybe for the rich retired pro motorcycle racer this is a good choice of track day bike but for the majority it's just an art piece.
yeah it's worse here in Indonesia crazy high taxes means the V4 will be way overpriced. A new yamaha R1M here costs 812 million IDR = 75.000 USD
Rizky Fadhillah wow that's insane. Yeah I've heard about how expensive it is to have a vehicle legally on the road in that area. I've heard they are strict there about modified cars too

I've got a V4 base model on order to replace my 899 Panigale but hearing that guy all but confirm that there's a new Streetfighter coming out has me thinking I might be replacing my beloved 848 Streetfighter soon too. I didn't mind the rules allowing a V twin to have slightly higher displacement then a v4 or inline four, maybe not an extra 300 cc like the 1299 but I thought 1199 was almost fair. Now that they are a v4 they should have the same 1000cc limit as everyone else in the racing classes it is in.
The 2018 RF is 26k cheaper than the high-end Speciale. hahaha

MV Agusta has been using a counter-rotating crankshaft for years on their standard production F3 800 street bike.
