It is one of those few times that I know where I was when I was told of Terry's tragic passing. Almost 47 years have passed, and I still feel the shock and sting like it was yesterday. R.I.P. brother Terry!

One couldn't have asked for a better ending for the greatest show in television history. The flashbacks set to this song... breathtaking and sublime. And so sad to see it end. This show was the reason I became a cop. This show was the reason I wore the original Sonny Crockett shoulder holster when I was a Detective. This show was the reason I considered a career in Southern law enforcement. This show was the reason I survived my childhood. And I mean that in every sense of the word. So very happy I found this video so that I could finally get this song. Thank you for posting it.
Thank you for your service in law enforcement. This song was also used as the ending song during the credits of the 1973 movie Electra Glide In Blue", staring Robert Blake.
The last song played on the final episode (Freefall) of the TV series Miami Vice as Crockett and Tubbs were driving away in the Ferrari Testarossa. A sad moment and virtually the end of the 80's. The best decade of my life!

Terry Kath has always been one of my biggest inspirations. Maybe the biggest, and I was born in 1994, like 25 years later! That’s legendary stuff. What will you leave behind?
They would've been my first concert, too, but I had to sell my ticket and go with family on vacation out of state. Chicago played my high school in CT near the end of my freshman year, April 1970. Must've been loud in the gymnasium, where they could fit a lot more people than in our auditorium, and with worse acoustics. Still would've liked to see them when "Chicago" (II) was a hot new double lp... I didn't know about Tanglewood yet, they played there that summer. Check out the Bill Graham Prroductions VIDEO of it on here on YT if you haven't already. Terry is on fire.... 🎸🎹🎺🎷🎤🥁
I saw a lot of great guitar players in my life and I heard a lot more plus all those who do not have a name and are real great players, and Terry was on par with the best of them. I saw Chicago for the first time in Montreal in 1971 . They played their first and second album on that night, and after that I became a guitar player myself .He was one of the greatest . In all those years after that show I had to pickup solos from different guitar players, but picking up solos from Terry Kath was always a bit more difficult . He had energy and stamina to a level few players could reach. Than you Terry Kath, may you rest in peace.
No, just one HELL of a song! Why did this man have to die like this? Questions still need answers. It's not resolved in my opinion . I was 11 when he died and I cried on the playground for him. He was a musical miracle.
For being a low budget movie, Electra Glide In Blue is a magnificent film. And the score is excellent. Especially "Tell Me" in the end. It's one of the strongest songs ever made, with the remarkable voice of Terry Kath.
One of my favorite films. Robert Blake shines, and the music.....perfect!! Especially the ending. I hope God will bless America again. America deserves many blessings. My thoughts. Peace.

Alot of credit to James William Guercio for constructing all of that movie and soundtrack-which I consider one of the finest ever in movie history. God Bless America and God Bless Terry Kath!
James William Guercio does deserve credit for the film’s music. However, Robert Blake claimed that Conrad Hall and himself were the film’s true directors.

Steve McQueen even fired Guercio from the production of "Tom Horn" because he was not impressed by Guercio's lack of ideas.
