This is a great song whenever I listen to this song I end up singing it I liked Kurt Cobain and Nirvana since I was 15 years old back in 1992 and I still like them a lot and I am currently 40 years old if Kurt Cobain was still alive he would be 50 years old right now I only know that because I was born in 1977 and Kurt Cobain was born in 1967 so he would only be 10 years older than me
@@boofert.washington2499 i didn't know dave abbruzzese, neil peart, buddy rich, mike portnoy, chad smith, and dave lombardo were crappy drummers chad channing is still playing drums in bands while you're just going around being a dick to people who didn't ask for your opinion
@@questionblock8949 According to setlist.fm, their last performance of Scoff was 10 September that year. Edit: it's listed incorrectly. It shouldn't be listed as a song on the setlist, so nevermind.
Dave usually does some pretty amazing things with the drums from the songs on Bleach, but this is super bland. I figure there's not too much that he could've done with it, but he didn't really change anything other than making it compatible with his one kick pedal. I don't often prefer Chad over Dave or Dave over Chad on any of the songs that they've played. I think they both have great and very different approaches, and I enjoy both ways that they take on the songs, but Chad is definitely superior here, solely because of his double kick. If Dave had worked his stylistic magic on this, though, I'd probably think they were equal.
Absolutely no chance. Firstly Dave is the king of not over complicating things, and it’s a credit to chad channings piece that he doesn’t opt to go overboard with the adaptation. But Dave has proven that he can play the bleach songs a lot better live than chad ever even managed on the official recordings. I don’t know why you call this bland when in fact Dave is playing this song flawlessly with one pedal. That was Nirvanas whole mantra also, don’t overcomplicate the music.
@@charlieb2038 cause it’s bland. Compare Dave’s School to Chad’s School. Or even About a Girl and Blew? No contest, Dave wins. But Dave’s Scoff vs Chad’s Scoff? I mean it’s too close to sound any better than Chad. Like on the songs I mentioned above, Dave made those songs his. He absolutely perfected them. This isn’t bland on its own, I suppose, but in comparison to what he did to other Bleach songs, it’s meh. Just sounds like Chad 2.
@@charlieb2038 Dave plays SOME bleach songs better than chad, not all. Blew, About a Girl, and School sound much better with dave on drums. But songs like this and big cheese, chad is a much better fit. Chad added these little variations in the chorus which gave Scoff so much life and uniqueness, but Dave completely omits them. Not to mention big cheese, Dave doesn't even play that song correctly. And plus, scoff pretty much needs a double pedal to make it sound "not bland".
I love how dave grohl plays chad channings double kicks on bleach songs live with his one drum kick and his sticks

There's no right or wrong way to play an instrument
Nor is it a competition
