- SEAN COSTELLO AND BAND IN PRIME FORM. TURN THIS ONE UP LOUD AND ENJOY. Sean Costello plays a spectacular version of a Freddie King instrumental, with only 5 strings on his guitar. Sean broke the first string, half way through the second set, when the band played Crossroads Cafe, Antwerp, Belgium on November 25th, 2007. Discovering that he had no replacement strings left, Sean played on without missing a beat. Very impressive guitar playing here!
This video was uploaded on April 16th 2009 (Sean's birthday), in fond remembrance of his great music and performances.

I first met a 14 year old Sean Costello down at Fat Matt's Rib Shack in Atlanta, Ga. I was hosting open mic night. He told me that he wanted to sing as well as I did one day. At 14 I knew that he and others (like Derek Trucks at 12) would be among the best the world has ever heard! I bowed out of the blues scene to preach the gospel and watched him grow from afar.He asked me to sing on the album Moanin for Molasses. It was one of the best decisions that I ever made....Rev. Met him about the same time, I use to jam with Felix and the Kats occasionally. He had a 175, he was playing at the time.
I've been listening to Sean for the past 12 years or so and I am convinced he was absolutely one of the best guitarist to ever have lived so so sad he left us. Fitting Robert Johnson's picture was behind him

He took something with him. I treasure what he left us all. I only Pray he knows how MUCH, he and his music have done for me. R.I.P. You have helped me Sean. We never met in life. But, it doesn’t matter. I know you helped me and other’s. You still do. I don’t idolize those of the flesh. I do feel the music.
