    Sean was a "complete" blues artist, he had it all, soulful vocals, incredible guitar chops, tone and most of all originality! You could see he always gave 110%..We miss you Sean, rest easy.

      You're absolutely right, he was the real deal. JD Simo reminds me of him although it's more as if Simo is impersonating him, but it could just be they are both onto the same vibe...

    Every time I watch Sean play I have the thought...if a guitar player ever walked the earth, who was technically better or had more feeling than Sean, I must have missed him.

    This guy is great. That’s what the blues should sound like. Great vocals, great pretty clean guitar. Just actually found this guy. Too bad he’s gone. He had the heart of a black blues man

    We are deep in blues tradition here, though both the guitar playing and singing is distinct Sean Costello style. Meaning lot of imagination, the guts to follow the instinct, and a lot of nice work with dynamics as well. Nice that these concerts are well documented on You Tube. Thank you for uploading.

    This is so great it's a shame not more people have seen this. It's also a shame the audience in the show was not aware of the greatness they experienced. I love Saen Costello and wish more people would, he was surely one of the great blues/rock musicians ....

    Even Stevie was dissed in his first Euro appearance, he lived long enough to 'break through' and return to electrify the same staid jazz festival that didn't initially 'get him'. Generally speaking, you have to wonder how people can sit motionless in the midst of a beat (?) - I don't think I could do it even if you paid me money!

    • @deborahannsmith5067
      @deborahannsmith5067 3 роки тому +4

      "shut up" Are you kidding? No one has ever said that about Sean. He is playing from the depths of his soul. There is nothing forced or fake when he performs. To deliberately eliminate what came naturally as a result of his playing, would have taken the purity of his intent out of it. If you are listening to his 'ahhs' during his solos, you are certainly are not a musician, nor someone who knows anything about blues and an amazing talent. Sean pulled his performance from every part of himself... it's not an easy thing to do. I'm sure those sounds are a consequence of his being one with his guitar. I'm fairly certain he didn't even know he' was doing it. I say if you are annoyed, you should move on... There are plenty of others who appreciate Sean, and plenty of quiet guitarists who couldn't touch him with a ten-foot guitar. This is by far the rudest comment left on any UA-cam video of Sean. Finally, Sean isn't able to change anything about his performances. We are just lucky that someone took the time to record and share. Don't know how you were raised, but shut up was no in Sean's vocabulary.

    • @musikhausortel8035
      @musikhausortel8035 3 роки тому +1

      @@deborahannsmith5067 Few things the matter with your comment: "No one has ever said that about Sean". Wow, you know everything that everyone ever said about him? "He is playing from the depths of his soul" and "Sean pulled his performance from every part of himself." Aha, how do you know that? I´m sure YOU feel that but that doesn´t make it true. A good conman can make you feel anything. "This is by far the rudest comment left on any UA-cam video of Sean." You read every comment about him on youtube? Maybe there are a few more just in the last 5 minutes. You should check now! I don´t listen to these noises specifically but I can´t help but notice. And you noticed too, I bet. If there was a fire alarm going off while he is playing, wouldn´t you notice? He is a very good guitar player and he don´t need that to draw attention. This is a blues song and not a fucking porn movie! And finally "Sean isn't able to change anything about his performances." Really? He isn´t able to change a few notes he´s playing? If that is true, he isn´t a good player.

      @@musikhausortel8035 as his mother, I’m pretty sure I knew my son. I did talk to a great musician about the vocals. He told me many musicians do same thing and suggested listening to BB King as one example. Do I think he could change a note? Absolutely, if he thought it was his feeling about the song. Your reference to the guitar is irrelevant to comment about vocals. You have every right to dislike his sounds during solos. It was the shut up that I found to be rude. I taught my children better. And, did I read every comment... given I replied to yours, use your imagination. Music is an art form and, therefore, is subject to opinion. Again, you have the right to yours. Have others said less than stellar things? As I said, art is seen or felt differently by each person. In case you didn’t know, Sean passed away 13 years ago. He won’t be a able to respond to your comment.

      It`s a live performance of rock and blues music , has a lot of emotion in it. Not a quiet piano concert or whatever. If you understand a liitle of music, you would not make this comment.

      @@deborahannsmith5067 Fair enough. I kind of assumed you were his mother... I didn´t think a simple "shut up" was THAT bad. I have read much ruder comments on youtube. Maybe it´s the different language. It just made me angry to be distracted from that great guitar solo. I know he died way before his time and it was a great loss to the music family!
