  • Sean Costello was one of the finest young Blues talents I'd ever seen. He had the chops that would've seen him become a legend. Sadly, Sean passed away about 10 weeks after this video was taken of him at The Yale in Vancouver, Canada on his second visit in as many years to this well known Blues venue. On April 15, 2008 he was called to join that great Blues band in the sky where so many legends have gone in previous years. It was an honor & a priveledge to meet & see this young man. Rest in Peace Sean.

Sean called me after this performance. He was so excited (remember he was in PT, and I'm in ET). He felt it was one of the best performances ever, like it all just came together perfectly. I had not seen any of the videos from this night before. Without the latest comment being referred to me, I wouldn't know they are there. Thank you for all of the kind comments. Sean would be humbled. He lived for his music, his family, friends, and fans.

Thank you bluescanuck, for this video and for letting people know that his family does watch all that we can of him. Sean did not mean to leave us. There is so much people don't know about what was happening. He actually was in the care of professionals who apparently, didn't know what they said they did. He was trying really hard. Thank you for your kindness. (Sean's Mom)

He is my biggest musical influence lately. I lived and played around Atlanta myself. He was always the guy we looked up to. He was my exact age almost. I was class of 99 at Riverwood High School. I believe he was class or 98 and we knew each other through my boss Ralph Luttrell at the time.
He still to this day inspires me. Daily.

Deborah: You're welcome. I never knew Sean. I only met him on 2 different occasions, but I can say that his music touched me in many ways & still does. I think of him often, especially when I hear his music and am still saddened that he left this world far far too soon. I'm sure he is never far from your heart & those of other family members & friends. It was an honor to have met him & to enjoy his gift that still gives me joy to this day. God Bless.

Couldn't agree with you more brother. It was a shocker to lose him at such a young age, when he had so much more to offer. I'm still in denial. We indeed must cherish his legacy.

Best see see Baby cover. As if Sean wrote it. I even can enjoy his more than the Freddie’s. so much expression from his great vocal. every single word comes out of his mouth tells the story. plus off course one of the greatest guitar playing on earth can tell maybe even more..

My cousin is the Bass Player in this Video...
I first heard of Sean Costello when I was doing a search on google looking for my cousin. Amazing music and so much talent in this group. I'm sad to hear about Sean's passing.

Please be respectful, because I know Sean's family & friends sometimes view these videos, and I for one, do not believe for one second that he meant to leave us. He may be gone, but he's definitely not forgotten.

He did not. He was in a treatment facility who failed him. They are now closed.Sean loved life, his family, his friends, and music. Leaving was not an option.
