The story about the woman who made a baby shower about her honestly she sounds like a narcissist. My mother is one, and the experience and knowledge I have of narcissists is expansive. Narcissists will literally twist the truth or flat out lie about a condition (Munchhausen) to get attention. They view everyone else as an NCP and they are the only person that actually matters, as if their entire life is a movie about their suffering. There are many types of narcissists, from the ones that think they have it better than everyone to the ones that think the world and life are against them and it’s everyone else’s fault but theirs. It definitely gave me the same feelings that I had when listening to my mothers bs.

It's very common for cheaters to project themselves onto their partners (which is why they accuse other people of cheating over seemingly nothing, because they know that when *they* do something like that, it's because they're cheating), so combine her accusations with the fact that she was so quiet about the coworker before and is only now talking about it after the fact? She's definitely having an affair, whether it's emotional or physical doesn't change that.
i would be beyond livid if someone deleted my channel. Granted, my channel is mostly dogs and chickens. I don't have many followers because I don't update or post vids that often, but still...it's the principle of the matter. Don't delete peoples channels.

#4 If OP doesn't intend to get married, then she's not engaged, and call him her fiancé. They're partners. He's her partner. If they live at the same address, and have shared properties (home, cars) she needs to check the common law marriage rules in her state - they may be considered legally married. #9 Technically you can't deliberately forget; you can choose to ignore and pretend to forget. I think Boyfriend's comment about forgetting her b-day is a bit of a red flag. Sounds less like a dumb joke and more like his true feelings slipped out. But if you are feeling like the *hole because of everyone elses want to celebrate the moment, you can absolutely have a "marriage" like event that would make everyone happy without actually getting married, or do something like common law. If you are content with the forever fiance situation, just call that marriage, and everyone can get off your back without you actually getting married. #4 If OP doesn't intend to get married, then she's not engaged, and call him her fiancé. They're partners. He's her partner. If they live at the same address, and have shared properties (home, cars) she needs to check the common law marriage rules in her state - they may be considered legally married.
#9 Technically you can't deliberately forget; you can choose to ignore and pretend to forget. I think Boyfriend's comment about forgetting her b-day is a bit of a red flag. Sounds less like a dumb joke and more like his true feelings slipped out. And as someone else mentioned he only groveled to appease her - not because he thought he muffed up and did something wrong.

I pray the first story is a fake because that whole situation is heart wrenching. Aah! First the guy didn't want to open up and share because clearly he has been bullied and second I think OP is possibly knows the damage done and is getting narcissistic supply off of it. There seems to be a hint of enjoyment and gloat over his pain and torment, from dismissing his talent and hard work to laughing and mocking him to her friends, scorning over his tears, to involving his family and watching their reactions. This is the most disgusting, despicable, evil person who is hiding their hideous face behind a mask of innocence and I just pray it's not true. If it is I pray he's no longer with her because she will do so much worse to him. Who could be so so disturbingly cruel to someone who gave everything to them.
Normally I agree with him but the one with the mom letting her daughter move in I didn't agree with that one at all. It's her kid in the fact that they didn't have a good relationship would leave just a chance that the younger sister and her husband would say no and she couldn't do that

Adam: I’m sooooo suspicious of all that he’s doing with op. He didn’t “gift” her a house. She lives in his second home. When she’s no longer able to live there (due to her age) what’s going to happen to her? Sounds like she has no assets- even the house is not her’s. That’s one of the big reasons people buy their house- it’s part of their nest egg. The $1 rent thing is what set off red flags for me. From what op says, he sounds like a landlord with a handful of properties. That $1 rent thing is a tax loophole of some sort

I have comments on stories 4, 7, and 8. Story 4; I understand the anti-marriage standpoint as i myself have one. But if you are feeling like the *hole because of everyone elses want to celebrate the moment, you can absolutely have a "marriage" like event that would make everyone happy without actually getting married, or do something like common law. If you are content with the forever fiance situation, just call that marriage, and everyone can get off your back without you actually getting married. Not that it's a necessity or anything, but it's an option. Story 7; I feel like the one stipulation that the younger daughter's husband put in place was specifically in place for the event that happened because the brother-in-law was a part timer. The first ones to get cut when things get dicy. So either he put the rule in place to have OP come to him so that he can have a conversation with brother-in-law to help give him better perspective to keep things like this from happening. Possibly to come to a consensus that he gets a job with X, Y, Z standards, or whatever. Or he really just wants to be the *hole and point and laugh while his brother-in-law asks for help. As for story 8; Grandma is absolutely still asscon 1 for thinking the way she does, but OP was correct that his wife was causing a scene by basically "looking a gift horse in the mouth." I understand that stepdaughter was a little deflated by the gift, but it was still a thoughtful gift that grandma thought would be appreciated. So, really, everyone in that story is an *hole

Story #7- May be a hot take on it, but I am disgusted by Adam. So, he “builds her a house” but it’s not hers… he just wants to control her. She can’t have anyone, meaning she can’t go out and meet someone to be with… he’s a douchebag… eff Adam. I agree she shouldn’t have done that, but Adam is an Ass all the way.
I’m suspicious about that too. It’s like the stories about parents who pay for a wedding and automatically think they have full control over everything. In this house situation he didn’t “gift” her a house. He built a house and is letting her live in it. (So that when she dies, there a loophole dealing with inheritance on the estate.) I’m suspicious of the $1 rent. He’s 100% doing something that’s not in the best interest of op

The first one totally bewildered me. What was she annoyed about? What was she embarrassed about? That he has a fucking tech hobby??? I mean, maybe she has a right to be annoyed about being bugged with generic tech questions for... idk... research purposes? I say AT MOST, the mom is ASCON 4. Dusty is speaking under the assumption the SIL who owns the house is a reasonable man, but that might not be the case. Especially if he doesn't like the other SIL, he could easily say not to give shelter to the other daughter and her husband because they deserve to be homeless. There is a reason everyone agrees not to tell him what's going on, so I suspect the mom knows the only way she could shelter her daughter is to do so secretly and for a short amount of time.
Yes, she's endangering her own wellbeing, but I say that makes her selfless, not foolish or dishonest. It's a necessary white lie type situation.

I think dusty usually has pretty sane reasonable opinions and on rare occasion he has what I would call a hot take. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but that first sentence kind of surprised me... Unless you're the type of person who JUST has hot takes. Then, it kinda makes sense.
I don't agree. The mother-in-law is already living for free at the house showing SIL is somewhat generous. It's also his property so it should be his decision regardless of what it is. Also by getting her daughter to lie to her husband and breach his trust about his property that she is managing she is endangering her other daughter's marriage. All of them might end up on the street. Mother-in-law is already living for free. She doesn't get to be generous with other people's property. And when you're a good tennant who pays rent on time most landlords will give you grace for a few months if you lose your job. Also if he's on unemployment from the government he could get money and possibly government subsidized housing if he lost his place.
SIL enjoys making money. Has they come to him he may have simply charged rent and utilities at an affordable price.

There were people with 50,000 followers, that lost their channel! And ended up in a depression, so she can, F all the way off, with that, a UA-camr, with million subscribers, would it be upset if they lost their channel.
