  • Informational video about old fashion fishing for crappie with a cork (bobber) using modern day electronics (Garmin Live Scope). In this video I am catching crappie shallow in very cold water.

    Really like your video! Word of advice, I see after you catch one, you lay your rod down with your jig and cork over the side of the boat while you go to the live well. Good way to loose a rod and reel. Ask me how I know! LOL! Fish took the bait while I was at the live well and over the side it went

    I like your down to earth presentations, and you are not full of sponsors and pushing products. That will bring me back to watch and look forward to more from you, Mike.

    Thanks for the report, Mike. Your livescope was spot on for locating the roaming school. Even with a conventional depth finder it would not have been possible to make the decision as to where to cast. Hopefully when our overnight temps start climbing into the 40s the crappie will move onto docks and banks. Best wishes, Don

    Great video sir. Thankful for you sharing it with us. Down here on Lake D'arbonne, most of the crappie are still much deeper at this time of year. Very rare to find them that shallow here except when they spawn.

    Nice video, this is just the type of crappie fishing I was dreaming of when I purchased my livescope using with my ulterra trolling motor and power poles. I have since mounted my TM to a separate mount. I normally fish deeper waters.

    Enjoy your videos. Always find them to be informative. I especially like that your videos show different techniques to catch fish. Would like to see more of how you are finding fish on side imaging before stopping to fish as you do in last 2 videos. You have a great video showing finding fish on docks on side imaging before dock shooting. I ask as I am still trying to learn how to find suspended crappie that are not holding to structure on side imaging. I can see structure away from boat, but still struggle with actually seeing the fish. Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks for sharing!

    Enjoy your videos. Why a stringer plus live well? Also, Live Scope worth investing the money? Been using Helix 10 Mega everything.

    • @MikeBakerVideos
      @MikeBakerVideos  5 років тому +4

      Simply easier to get the fish out without freezing your hands in cold weather. Also, I modified it to have 15 hooks which is the legal limit on most lakes in Mo. so no need for counting and keeping track of how many fish you have caught.
      Live Scope is definitely worth the money!

    • @MikeBakerVideos
      @MikeBakerVideos  5 років тому

      I do most of my crankbait trolling on the lower end of the lake between the dam and the 19 mile marker and in the Gravois area simply because I have a house in that area and it is more convenient.
