It's all beginning to come together now! We'll install the pickup, controls and jack socket, notch the neck to accept the pickup, fit the string ferrules and an earth wire and fit machineheads. There's a lot to get through in this episode, but hopefully nothing too difficult -if you've got this far you've done all the really hard work!

Is it sufficient to connect the earth wire to just the high string? with a metal hinge the connection would be on all strings, but here you have wood...

There's a fretwire bridge saddle which provides earth continuity.
