Originally gave this a miss, thought "they're just some barriers". But some good tricks in there, the end gaps filled with glue and foam chips looks really good!
I'm glad you got something out of it. This is a bit of an hold one now, I did make a couple more with wire inserted as rebar for the concrete, they look great (even if the detail is really quite small haha). Thanks mate.
Cheers mate. Materials aren't so bad, it's resisting the urge to not try something because I don't have a hot wire foam cutter or 3d printer. Love your channel by the way.
@@HeleentheArcane I agree, it's something I want to get down the track, but I'll still attempt most builds without it when that happens. I think you can get around most problems with basic tools and a creative approach to simple materials. Glad you enjoyed the video mate.
Love this barriers and I want to give them a try but I have a doubt before starting. Have you peeled the paper off of the foam core? Because it looks like yo did but can't say for sure and it's killing me 😆😆 PS: I really like your videos and already have several of them in a playlist to start my terrain crafting journey following your tutorials 😙
Thank you for the comment mate. For these pieces of foam the paper is removed, I find this leaves a better texture overall, and it's better for adding details like cracks and stuff to the surfaces. Good luck with your terrain building, and let me know if you have any questions, I'm happy to help out if I can. Cheers.
Awesome Barriers. Take this as constructive criticism but 20 minutes for this was a bit rough. This could’ve been edited to half the time or less and would better keep the viewers attention. Anyhow, subbed to channel regardless.
Thanks mate, and cheers for the feedback. You're absolutely right, some of these early videos have lots of room for improvement. But I'm trying to get better with each new video, learning as I go. Thanks again mate.
Thanks, I've found the scraps of foam really useful for this sort of thing, as well as representing small rocks and rubble. Worth hanging onto a few bits in a container for times like this.
Love the use of scraps to fill in the gap.
Deja vu. 🙂
Classic.
Ive made these a few timea and they always imoress other hobbyists
Thanks Tim

Very creative technique mate! Great way to use the materials you have access too.

@@RFDHobby Awesome attitude to have in this hobby. Thanks mate!
@@RFDHobby I actually really like that you don't use a hotwire. Most people don't have them, so I think it's actually a positive for your viewers!

They look real nice, especially for how little work they take!
These are really well done! I like the damage and the method you used to make it is great. Thanks for sharing this neat tutorial.
Thanks so much John. These are a great way to use up some off-cuts of foamboard rather than just throwing it out.
Additionally, you could snap some cocktail sticks in half and poke them into the sides to make it look like broken rebar
Great idea. I used wires in the concrete pillar video to give a rebar look, but it would also help to make these look better. Thanks.
If you combine this with the bunke you made you basically have an awesome trech line
Great idea mate. These turned out better than expected, and so easy to make I have heaps of them lying around now. Thanks for the comment.
