I don't really get "tool watches" like this but also bolder and all the fashion divers. reminds me of those really heavily modified jeeps that never go off road.
Hey Ben, I love your videos and have a large appreciation for sticking to your standards and not "selling out"! So many take the cash and say screw their subscribers. I keep getting ads for a watch group called Meister. If you have a moment maybe you could look into them. They're averaging between $150.00 and $300.00 dollars U.S. I've considered a purchase because I like the look but I can't find out much about them. That may be because they're new or because they're bad. Anyway. Keep the awesome content coming and stay safe and happy.
@@WILLNOTCOMPLY72 Meister's site looks pretty bad, like another cheap aliexpress drop shipped marking project. If you inspect the page some images are named "screenshot." I'm guessing they photoshopped over some Instagram screen shots. Meistersinger is also already a real watch company so the name is kind of a rip as well. Just my 2 cents.
I love your reviews! Its sad that in Brazil if you dont have much money microbrands are out of the box. If a microbrand watch costs $300, after taxes and importation fees we would endup paying something around $700, witch makes it way too expensive, considering that our coin (Real) also is not that strong compared to Dollar.
You should cover Zelos. I collect higher end brands nowadays but I still gravitate towards Zelos in the lower priced category. Their build quality is amazing for the price.
Apart from the little issues it's definitely a great looking and solid offering. You should try and get ahold of their newer pilot style watch, now that is one I think you'd like. Great review as always mate.
Yeah, I know. Every Watch channel I go to I make the point of Exchange for different countries. They don’t seem to comprehend that we pay 30%+ on the bill exchange to US funds, never mind € & £. A $700.00 piece goes automatically to $1,000.00, then I look to other watches.
I bought RZE's Endeavor as a Christmas present for myself, and it's become one of my favorite watches in my collection. My only complaint is that the date window is too small, and I should've chosen the no-date version instead. Otherwise, it's a neat little watch!
Great video. I particularly enjoyed the toilet scenes. Who says watch nerds don't have a sense of humor ? I like the case shape and the great date window concealment.
Hey Ben the new Resolute's have been announced. Am thinking of ordering one but would like to see some content on them. Hope you will do a follow up :) The Yellow looks the best in my opinion.
You should check out the new RZE Resolute Supecompressor watch it looks like a straight-up rip of the Boldr Expedition v2. Like hella sus especially with Travis having parted from Boldr. A video talking about that or comparing it would be rad.
You made me buy EFV-110D and MTS-100L and i love them both. i keep watching your videos and hope for more recomendations. I like Casio Lineage LCW-M100TSE-1AER but but it's kinda hard to get and a bit pricey where i live.
I’ve got a boldr field medic that I wear daily for work. Absolutely love it and it’s 18 months old now, hasn’t missed a beat. It gets a lot of compliments too which surprised me because I got it due to it being understated. I Wouldn’t swap it for this.
RZE are probably my favourite Microbrand at the moment. Love the watches Travis produces, obviously he'll find some influence from Boldr after being a part of the company. However, I do feel like he has his own creative flares that are quite apparent in each piece.
The Resolute is a fantastic tool watch that I bought for a trip to Hawaii and Alaska and it is a great looking, yet simple and rugged watch. It is fantastically light on the silicone strap I got for it and you can take it anywhere. The only downside on my white full lumed dial is that the lume is weak and is almost impossible to read in the dark after only a little while. I couldn't use it in the dark on the plane.
That's sad to hear. I have the latest Resolute version with the full lumed dial on order . This is going to be my field/beater. The latest version has an Explorer style dial, no date and is thinner. I might cancel the order.
@@brocklanders6969 I think full lumed dials are hit or miss. The lume needs to be strong on both, or very strong on the hands. The RZE pilot watch has negative hands that aren't lumed at all. I think that may be a better way to go. I wish they did that on the updated version.
@@derbagger22 I really didn't like any of the other colors and the Resolute is the only model they make that I like. I really like titanium watches. My Casio Oceanus S100 is great. Recent I purchased a 1973 Omega 1012. It is a 23 jewel 2880 beat automatic. It has gorgeous blue dial. It is so accurate. A Updated watch copy 40mm, mine is a 38mm. This is my first Omega with a calendar. I swore I would never own one! But is such a beautiful watch. It came out at $500. With tax and freight. My watch guy said I stole it for what I paid
The taper of the lugs coming down from 3 and 9 o clock, make it look a bit weird, as it appear to be a lot fatter than it is diameter wise. Maybe a 22mm lug width would help, but it reminds me of the Lunar Pilot with its weird disproportionate lug width to case size.
A review request: I wonder whether you can do a review of Wolfpoint Co. - a Chicago based microbrand. Their watches have a very strong minimalist visual appeal with decent specifications. I'm curious where they rank on the spectrum. Thank you in advance, regardless of whether you'll have an opportunity to do so.
Nice review, great close-up shots. But i am confused about the material of the bracelet. I assumed it is titanium and on their website it says it is titanium. But in this video, there is stainless steel written on the clasp. So now i am not sure is it titanium or stainless steel, or only clasp is stainless steel. No mention of this in the review.
I have RZE's Endeavour in Medallion Yellow, and it's a gorgeous watch. The one thing I didn't like was the big, long, useless box it came in. In contrast, my Traska Summiteer came in a compact and very useful travel pouch. I think RZE should throw out the oversize boxes and get real.
I have the same Endeavour, and definitely prefer it to the Resolute. And I agree on the box/pouch -- I'm never going to use a travel pouch that requires me to split the bracelet. I hope that RZE makes a second attempt at a field watch in the future, as I'd like a smaller option.
