I have this exact model I purchased around 2000....have used it very little but wanted to go thru it and clean it up and PM it well. I wanted to take the pressure unit cover off and did not see how...this vid show me exactly how to do it.
Good video. Called the ROP Shop and nice lady new exactly what I needed. There are variations. Such as the hose connection. Also, key-way comes with the new pump. Went on great.

How do I use the soap injection system on this model I just started power washing and mine has been acting up and I don’t know how to get the soap injected into the pressure line
On mine, you can’t use the soap injector with any of the high pressure nozzles. Only the wash/rinse nozzle or taking a nozzle out entirely.

I have same washer. Original pump... seems freezing is the main reasons for pump failure.
Hubjeep how did you keep the key in place when putting the new pump over it ?
There seem to be two style pumps available to fit this model. The one show here and a Giant model which is more than twice as expensive. Any comments on if it's worth the extra money?
I’ve been using this pump for more than two seasons now with zero problems.
Mine must be the newer version due to it having the vertical shaft. I took the three mounting bolts out but the pump just doesn't want to pull off crank
Mine had a 5th bolt into the end of the crank as well.
Very helpful video, how have you liked the pump since install? Also did it come with a key way or is there one you used from the old pump?
the pump works great, plenty of pressure. I haven't really screwed with the regulator much. No, no key was included, a trip to Ace Hardware was required - oh and 50 cents. I spent way more on gas getting there and back.

you listed several pumps for replacement, did u use the 3100 upgraded pump or stick with the 2500-2600 pump. thanks
I think I used the 2500-2600 pump, and found the 3100 a little while after the video. Mine still works awesome all this time later. Although if I was doing it again, I would probably level up and go with the 3100. Kind of a Tim the Tool Man mentality. :)
any tips on keeping the key in place while sliding the pump back on ?
Use a little grease to hold it in place.

Bought same pump replaced still no pressure. Did come with a keyway.
probably a silly question, did you get it primed?
Do you know if that was the unloader valve attached to under side of the old pump where the inlet and out came into the pump housing?
I don’t actually recall, but yes that is probably correct.

According to the pump write-up from the ROP shop.. You should change the pump oil every 25 hours. Have you done that yet? Did the pump come filled with oil? Thanks
I have not, but it will due for that this spring. It did come full of oil - ready to run.

Sorry if I didn’t show it, most have a small grub screw to lock them down and/or just slide on to the key.
How do u change the oil for these pumps?
I think mine is sealed, so I don’t think you can.

hi, due to my stupidity. i turned on the pressure washer without turning on the water from the faucet. i pretty much damage the the washer. it won’t turn on and it is hard to pull the starter. do you know what part of the washer i damaged? thank you. parts for his is expensive. i just want to have an idea the part i possibly damage. is it the engine or the pump? thank you. much appreciated.
Most likely the pump itself, probably nothing to do with the engine. So I would suggest separating the pump and engine and seeing if the engine turns over then.
