thank you very much for this demonstration i just purchased a 2014 VW CC with 56,000 miles i dont know anything about car maintanence or cars in general and i am kind of freaking out, thank you for all of your great videos sir!
My pleasure. The VW CC is a beautiful car. I want one too! The Tiguan maintenance is similar since they have the 2.0L turbocharged engine and I have a lot of videos on how to maintain it yourself. 😃
Hi Entjik, thanks for the Tiguan videos!
My pleasure Thales. Thank you for your support 😀
Thanks!
it's worth mentioning, if you have to do this, there's a pair of steel chocks with the spare tire jack. At least my (2013) Tiguan has them. Very handy, very helpful. Sadly I have no hydraulic jack and I have to use the jack what came with the car. But I do have the stands! Bought them off your Amazon partners list.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it :)
Thanks my friend have to do my break pads
+Gaudencio Euan My pleasure brother Gaudencio. 👍😁
That red paint is a good tip!
Thank you, it helps me a lot.
You are lucky that the Tiguan has a pretty wide pinch weld reinforcement area. I had to buy a cheap/narrow jack to be able to fit the jack stand and jack on the pinch weld on my 2001 Passat -- for my Arteon, cannot even come close to fitting any jack and jackstand on the same reinforced area.
I wouldn't be putting axle stands there, where the arrow is it is reinforced but out with that is not. Youll also bend and damage the sill using axle stands or even a jack without rubber pucks
Great video. Just wondering if it's still okay to put jack stand nearby red mark(jack point). I've done it like the video but doubted that it wouldn't be safe if jack stand is not exactly at the jack point.
Yes, absolutely
👍👍
Good idea but always use wheel chocks. You lifted the front of the car with no wheel chocks. Don’t want the car to roll away.
I agree. I bought a pair of wheel chocks.
I'm trying to change my oil and oil filter in a 106° heat
Lol wow that is very hot 🥵
on my wifes 2020 tiguan, the jack points are too small to support both a jack and jack stand.
so if i want to place a stand on the rear tire, i jack up the front high enough to place a stand on the rear.
Funniest part when you smacked your camera persons leg off the jack lmao 😂
Can you put where you got your jack from ?
Hi Ledia, I got it from Amazon. Arcan 3-Ton Quick Rise Aluminum Floor Jack with Dual Pump Pistons & Reinforced Lifting Arm amzn.to/2CD6sKI
@@ejsgarage LOL that jack is selling for $339 on Amazon. Covid price gouging
