    Done by the book! Not only shows the correct procedure and torque but also includes the fastener sizes so you don't waste time looking for the right tool. Thank you and well done!

    I used this video to do my trans fluid change on my ‘17 Tiguan at 48k miles. Used oem fluid and a new filter and gasket with the special fill tool. I didn’t have any of the diagnostic equipment but you don’t need it. A simple thermometer pointed at the trans pan will do. And make sure you put in exactly the same amount that came out. Noticeably smoother shifting and the old fluid was dark with lots of metal goop on the magnets (previous owner drove 40k in 2 years). I cleaned the magnets off before putting the pan back on. These transmissions will fail early if you don’t change the fluid so make sure you do it! Next will be the differentials/haldex service. Thanks!

    Great video help. I followed your demo. I believe I injected a little less fluid than the amount of fluid taken out.
    The car drives good but it is making a some kind of "machine shutting sound" immediately before full stop. Is it because of not enough fluid? The problem I had was even with 2.5 litre of fluid injected, the pan was dripping. Overflow tube is not sitting tight maybe. I do not want to drain all the fluid again to check the overflow tube. However, if needed, I will have to. Can you give me some idea?

    I have a doubt
    you say to turn on the vehicle when you start to add the 2.5 liters. If I do this immediately when the oil starts coming in, wouldn't I have little oil in the transmission?

    Super explanation with the torque values and I wonder can I use for filling an brand new 12 V small pump brand new filling adapter the dealership ask for $38. 95 for one liter of automatic transmission fluid g-055 - 025-A 2 I like to get from you. If you send me 8 liters of your RAVENOL to Canada it's probably cheaper than paying $311.76 Cn plus 13%sale tax equal $352.29

    Awesome video. I did mine early this morning. Thank you for tips on tools. I put the over flow drain tube in while the pan was out and I tightened it by hand. Gravity works fine. I put in a hair under 6 liters in. I will follow the last step of your instructions later to make sure I have the right amount of fluid in the transmission. When you remove the filter be prepared to be splashed with fluid. Aisin builds transmissions for Volvo and Saan as well. I see the type IV fluid in use is antiquated why not use a synthetic?

      The Haldex 4-Motion transfer case needs about 800mL. Special oil G 060 175 A2. Do not put standard gear oil in the Haldex coupling unit. Hope you realized this video is about the Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission. Not the same thing as the Haldex unit - just checking.

    I couldn't order a filter from any of the autoparts places in my town. I am intending to order one online. There don't seem to be reliable part numbers for these filters on the net. I had to resort to pictures. There seems to be two filters for sale for a 2014 Tiguan. I am unsure which one to choose. Also, what kind of Trans fluid can I use? Thanks in advance for your help. :)

      I feel silly but perhaps it's just part of learning. I took a much closer look at the pictures, (Still no number) Alas, some of the images were right side up and some were upside down. There is only one filter for all those models.

      Hello Razvan Alex!
      In the U.S. the factory recommended transmission fluid change interval for a Volkswagen 6-speed aisin type automatic transmissions is every 50,000 miles and for the 6-speed DSG transmission it is every 40,000 miles. It is best to change the transmission fluid and filter every 40,000-60,000 miles even if you think it may be shifting fine. Over time these internal components of the transmission mesh with one another, begin to wear, and create fine metallic particles. These fine metallic particles contaminate your VW transmission fluid and plug the transmission filter. This contamination affects your transmissions efficiency and long term performance, causing more friction and wear on transmission components. By having a regular Volkswagen transmission fluid and filter service interval you will easily extend the life of your transmission. This important maintenance interval will support a long lasting well lubricated and protected transmission, minimizing chances of costly transmission repairs and problems. We hope this helps, and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

    • @blauparts
      @blauparts  7 років тому

      Hi George!
      According to the factory parts breakdown, the aluminum washer is a crush washer for the transmission pan drain plug.

    You're saying: install the drain plug, then: at this temperature a little transmission flood should begin to flow out of the fluid level insert. Question: How will it start flowing if the drain plug is installed?

    • @sideskraft
      @sideskraft 3 роки тому

      I'm sure he meant the plastic level insert, not the metal drain plug.

    • @rjmari
      @rjmari 2 роки тому +1

      @@sideskraft nah the insert should already be in there while you're filling. I think it was just a mistake. The drain plug shouldn't be reinstalled until after reaching temp and confirming correct fill.

    Can't believe the fluid will still get in there by gravity feed from 4:25-5:03 because looks like the tubing has to curve back up quite a bit to get in to the pan? But I guess it slowly does, hhhmmm

    • @amalekited
      @amalekited Рік тому +1

      As long as the length it goes up is shorter than the length it goes down, gravity will push fluid up the short side.
      IE that’s normal and how it works.

    how many liter of fluid you needed in total?

    • @twofst4u20
      @twofst4u20 4 роки тому

      6 Liters are usually needed. I’d highly recommend trying to capture as much fluid as possible, measure it out, then put the same amount of fresh fluid back in. It’ll save you the time of having to level the fluid out.
