Great reaction - that was very different to 'Gimme Chocolate' wasn't it. 'Brand New Day' is actually 5 years old being as it was on BABYMETAL's 3rd album Metal Galaxy released in 2019. It is certainly one of BABYMETAL's more mellow songs ... but BABYMETAL can do everything. That's one reason their collaborations all work so well as they are so versatile they can do pretty much whatever style and match up with whoever they are collaborating with. Tim Henson and Scott LePage recorded the guitar tracks for the original recording of the song. They had a rough demo to work with that BABYMETAL sent to them with synthesised vocals and a place-holder guitar track that they replaced with their own. They had no idea what the song would sound like until they heard the album - and they've said it sounds like a Polyphia track with vocals and they really hoped they would get to play it live with BABYMETAL one day. Fox_Fest in Tokyo in May (arranged, hosted and headlined by BABYMETAL) was the first chance they all had to meet up and to finally do this very first live performance with them all together.🎸🦊🎸 Tim and Scott said they had more fun performing this and getting to watch BABYMETAL performing from up close than they did playing their own set. They have done it again since this at Graspop festival in Belgium. Tim also hinted there may be another collaboration with BABYMETAL but this time it will be a song on the next Polyphia album.
⚡ 🍑 💕 / 🌅 Asu ga mata kuru kara. (Tomorrow will come, after all) - This was at FOX_FEST, an event that BABYMETAL hosted in Japan on May 25th and 26th, 2024. Polyphia had already peformed their own set earlier that night. They came back on stage during BABYMETAL's set to perform this song, which was the fifth song in the BABYMETAL set. Scott and Tim mentioned in a recent interview that they had even more fun on this song than during their own set. : ) For BABYMETAL's eighth song, they were joined by Kevin and Nico from Electric Callboy for 'RATATATA'. It sounds like FOX_FEST was a big success, so hopefully BABYMETAL will keep hosting this event. Tim and Scott joined BABYMETAL for this song again at the Graspop Festival in Belgium (June 20th, 2024).
Thank you for enjoying this song. As a Japanese, I would like to say one thing, K-pop is music made in South Korea and has nothing to do with Japan. BABYMETAL is music that originated in Japan and the two are opposites. However, it is true that the song has a pop style. 😉
Awesome, and welcome back to Babymetal! I been a Polyphia fan for some time too, even before Babymetal. And yes, this song just hits the spot in my soul. My favorite chill song. Check out Babymetal’s *Monochrome* from Pia Arena MM 2023. You’ll like that one quite a bit I imagine! 🤘🦊
Nice reaction! This song was released in 2019, on the Metal Galaxy album, but they only had the opportunity to play it live together in 2024. I recommend reacting to Road of Resistance, Monochrome and Megitsune now.
This is from the Metal Galaxy album, released in 2019. The "light side" of which is their weakest, in my opinion. Want something newer? Here: "Divine Attack" (Live at PIA Arena 2023): ua-cam.com/video/2WOHKe_4Fls/v-deo.html "Mirror Mirror" (Live at PIA Arena 2023): ua-cam.com/video/DrNfDkP_Buk/v-deo.html 🤘🦊
Great collaboration. Such a chill song makes you feel happy and not worry because Su said not to worry, and i believe her 😁 surrgest another collaboration this time with Tom Morello . Live version of cause it's called Metali 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Great reaction. You should react to Tales Of The Destinies, Syncopation, From Dusk Till Dawn, Brand New Day, Starlight - Shine (Legend M) - Arkadia (Trilogy Of Lights) You can find the videos in the links below. For LIVE I suggest that you use the videos on the Babymetal Reactor Resource ua-cam.com/video/q40VmTHSh4c/v-deo.html There's more information in the description of that video There's also this channel with great-quality videos www.youtube.com/@Hymnodic/videos
Good reaction / analysis 👊🏽⚡️I didn’t know anything about Polyphia even though I have loved this song for years (released 2019). Now I’ve listened to some of their songs and am very impressed. They are so innovative and technically proficient. Reminds me a bit of Eddie VanHalen back in the 70’s. Babymetal is the same with their songwriting 🦊👊🏽
There's some serious guitar chops on stage, 4 guys that could shred us all into oblivion. Tim and Scott, but also Chris and CJ from Babymetal. Only Su-metal could sing thru such a full guitar sound as this. I suggest the MV for "Mirror Mirror" live for what sounds like Kami Band-West doing Polyphia, the opening riff. Before being in Babymetal, Chris and CJ were in a Star Wars themed band called Galactic Empire. These young ladies have been very fortunate to have S-tier instrumentalists backing them up. Fun example... the song "Kagerou" has 2 live MV versions. The 1st one has Kami Band-East, original backing band of Japanese session players, ua-cam.com/video/eBoAL6dCWF4/v-deo.htmlsi=ecq0XV1SIYSb_FUc. Then there's Kami Band-West made up of all American players, ua-cam.com/video/ZED2utt_ok4/v-deo.htmlsi=Exo4pe74wvd98AF0. Couple interesting points, in the older video, Mikio (first guitar solo) is no longer with us RIP and Yui-metal (usually on Su-metals right) has left the group for medical reasons. She was replaced by Momo-Metal who's in the 2nd MV. This would make a great 2 in 1 reaction, there's no problem because it's a great performance both times. 🤘🤘
You want to have a taste of the sill of Easter Musicians? Before some of their songs, BM sometimes does an instrumental intro!! Try reacting to "Rondo of NIghtmare" live at Budokan 2014, with Mischief of the Metal gods intro!
Thanks and good morning from Japan 有難う💛。 "Brand New Day" is a good song to start your day refreshingly. I witnessed this artistic play at the venue (2 times in the two-day Fox_Fest organized by BM). I was in bliss. Soothing and exquisite performance by 5 elegant figures in the center 😍. In addition, classy incorporation by our Kami Band on both sides❤. Various elements created by 3 beautiful / elegant performers and 6 instrumentalists (4 guitars in total + bass / drum) with virtuosity were mixed and sublimed into one beauty by means of something like alchemy. The actual applause at the end of the song was much much much bigger than that recorded in this video. They did it together again in Belgian festival on June 20.
HQ Pro Shot no, because it is usually a compilation. The one on the For the Fox God channel is not a compilation. I reacted to it myself on my channel.
Well, it was an old Coĺlab. Babymetal ŵanted something withvtheir music. So they made a dummy master with dummy guitars and dummy voices. They replacedvthe dummy guitars with their own track. But they had no further influence.

BABYMETAL is a Metal Dance Unit combining "J-POP" and Heavy Metal. Do not mistake them for "K" or anything like that!

Monochrome LIVE - 2023 at PIA ARENA HQ Pro Shot from the For The Fox God channel
HQ Pro Shot no, because it is usually a compilation. The one on the For the Fox God channel is not a compilation. I reacted to it myself on my channel.
that is an incorrect statement as HQ Pro Shots are not "usually" a compilation.

i was hoping this would be a cover of Brand New Day from The Wiz, that was sung by Diana Ross 😒

I suggest you visit an ophthalmologist... or actually read the title of the video. 🙄
@@road-runner what, babymetal can't do a cover of a diana ross song?
@@dawatcherz They definitely can. Not the case tho.
@@road-runner exactly, that's my point
@@dawatcherz I probably misunderstood you... so, I was trolling you a bit, sorry. 🙏 😇
