Dancing in the dark 2 meters above a rotating stage, a 16yr old Suzuka sings of an Unending Nightmare of being chased by a Faceless Terror and Begging a Boon that it show Her Its Face just once before She dies. That's Metal. That's Babymetal! Put your Kitsune UP!!
"How did she emerge from the middle?" Easy. Paint an octagon on the stage, bring your buddies and show your skills, and the Fox God's Queen will be summoned if you are good enough.
Excellent first reaction and analysis, thank you and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊You won't have seen or heard anything quite like BABYMETAL - and if you like pure talent, theatre, performance, production, virtuosity (and even something bordering on acrobatics) you will find none better. Normally there are 3 girls in BABYMETAL - Su-metal is the lead vocalist, originally Yuimetal and Moametal, now Moametal and Momometal, provide backing vocals, harmonies and are crucial to what makes BABYMETAL standout, unique and original with their interpretive choreo (which also serves to involve and include the audience ... BABYMETAL are black belts in crowd engagement and crowd control). Yui left the band in 2018 for health reasons after a 12 month absence. In April 2023 they finally revealed a new third member Momometal. This is one of four Su-metal solos, two on each of the first two albums. Yui and Moa would get a break while Su performed those. The instrumentalists are the Kami Band, some of Japan's very best session musicians - they can play anything - and with BABYMETAL they have to be able to do that. They are the support for all live shows - they first appeared in Oct 2012 and were phased in over the next 18 months or so playing at a couple of festivals and the encores in some shows. The Budokan shows at the start of March 2014 were where they finally became the full time support for all live shows. The intro here is called 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods'. In order of solos - Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). There can't be many 16 year old girls who could follow that intro and then just take over the whole stage and arena the way Su did. This is one of their darkest songs lyrically. I understand rondo is a musical term denoting a repeated theme - something like that anyway. I believe they borrowed the term for the title of this song as Su is caught in a recurring nightmare, being chased through the darkness by something she can't see. Eventually she hides, but it is still coming closer. Knowing there is no escape she asks that if she is to die won't it at least reveal itself to her. This was only the second time Su had performed this song live - the first time was the night before. This was early March 2014. They played two nights at the Budokan in Tokyo (you said all the big shows seem to be held there - think the equivalent of Carnegie Hall or Madison Square Garden - it is the place all Japanese and many foreign artists aspire to play), Red Night and Black Night, becoming the youngest average age female band ever to headline there (Su was 16 and a couple of months, Yui and Moa still only 14). They had just released their first album - they sold out both nights. 🤘🦊🤘 They were back at the Budokan as part of their 10th anniversary celebration and played 10 shows over the first 3 or 4 months of 2021. They formed in 2010 as a sub-unit of a JPop Idol group, separating from that group in 2013 to become an independent band. They started as a fusion of Metal with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics and they have gone on to do so much more with songs in virtually every metal genre, but blended and mixed with so many more musical styles and genres. They have about 70 songs now, each on different to the last, each one crafted and perfected (they have used the same select group of composers and writers for nearly all their songs ever since they started). The albums and official videos are all very good, but BABYMETAL are a live performance act - live is where you will see and, most importantly, hear them at their very best every time. Can I suggest a song from their 2023 album for another reaction - but two versions. First live at PIA Arena, April 2023 and then a piano version (almost A Capella) on The First Take. The song is 'Monochrome'.
WOW, finally I found a good reaction from a musician who can translate this song well, and feel the emotion of the song well. Really appreciate it, I'd love to hear your reactions on other babymetal songs
Excellent first reaction, review, analysis; thank you! This band is special, no matter how many live performances you find the next one will still blow you away, they are fantastic.
Excellent reaction and musical analysis 👊🏽⚡️This Babymetal song always slays musicians. Tears of joy are often the response to Su-Metal’s (Suzuka Nakamoto) vocals.🦊🤘🏾
Welcome & Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 This is the song that I am longing for the revival with Su-Metal's matured rich voice. (Of course I love this version) Kamis' (=Gods') super solos were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 16-year-old Queen (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently with her penetrating voice then turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon her. BABYMETAL is the best musical phenomenon I have ever experienced in my 69-year-long life. (Before BM, I was a stubborn jazz / funk lover) We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
They actually have a sort of dream theater tribute song : 'Tales of Destinies' wich could be a really good way to discover the full babymetal configuration, with 3 girls (Su singing, Moa and Yui or Momo back singing and dancing crazy 🙂)
@@martinmetal7481 Well there are things you do for a joke and things you don't do for a joke. We know they felt harassed for a long time. But this was the old Babymetal. The new Babymetal follow different rules. As Kobametal himself mentioned, he wouldn't have dreamed to give the girls cat ears. And today they wear them and everyone says cute. At one time they wanted to be Stars now they are Stars and know it.
The Kamis are special. BABYMETAL are special. Su is very, very special. Don’t worry about the tears with this group (and this woman) every BABYMETAL fan has been there many times. They are awesome.
you dont have to worry, the band behind babymetal is well known one of the best metal musician you can had. especially this white robe and face paint one
@steffenjachnow8176 Nod. 60+ more songs and hundreds of live gigs equals 6000+ unique performances. And I really do mean _unique_ there. Realistically, many are going to be _fairly_ similar. So let's compromise on, say, 1500 different performances. Have at it, curatedpixels, better get going! 😂
Yes, Suzukas vocals are something very special. You have now experienced one third of BabyMetal. This was their lead vocalist Su-metal, and of course their incredible backing musicians The Kami Band. Since you may not be the biggest metal fan (yet, BabyMetal will change that), here are a couple of songs that you probably will like. BABYMETAL - Monochrome - Piano ver. / THE FIRST TAKE ua-cam.com/video/h-hPGRSjgms/v-deo.html BABYMETAL - NO RAIN, NO RAINBOW ua-cam.com/video/pDgqo6fcliY/v-deo.htmlsi=kiFxAv7oZdrD6aXj BABYMETAL | Akatsuki「紅月 -アカツキ-」| LIVE at Budokan Black NightBabymetal - Akatsuki (Budokan 2021 Live) Eng Subs ua-cam.com/video/WMTBQkddojc/v-deo.html Babymetal - Starlight (Budokan 2021 Live) Eng Subs ua-cam.com/video/2-oJu2fNf0g/v-deo.html If you like that, there is so very much more, and not all from BabyMetal.
The thing about becoming a big metal fan through Babymetal.. I'm still not a big metal fan. I like it but... Babymetal is my favorite music out of all music. They're metal i know but something about them hits different for me where the rest of metal doesn't quite do it for me the same.
@@John-l7y1t That's fair! I think their experimentation with many genres and the style of their singing is pretty unique to them compared to most metal. I love heavy instrumentation but a bit less so with constant metal vocals so Babymetal is perfect for me
@@emilyporter1186 Same. Before I knew about Babymetal I was into Nightwish. Obviously Tarja and Su--metal's vocals contrasts the music in very different ways (Su coming in from the pop direction, Tarja having a more operatic sound), but there's something special about the contrast between music that goes that hard and the clear vocals of these singers. I can appreciate the typical metal vocals from a technical standpoint, but they don't hijack my brain the way these women do.
Excellent reaction and analysis. Welcome to BABYMETAL! The composer (and author) is Takehiro Mamiya best known as Yuyoyuppe (or Yuppemetal). They use a group of composers and he's one of the main ones. The Kami Band members here (in order of their solos) are: Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura (guitars), Daisuke Bohte, best known as BOH (6-string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). BABYMETAL's lead singer is Suzuka Nakamoto, stage name Su-metal. She was just 16 years old at the time (this is from March 2014). And yes, she's crazy... good! All this concept was the idea of one man, Key Kobayashi (known by Kobametal or Koba). He's the producer and the person behind all their music (being or not being credited for that). He's a lifelong metalhead and got this idea of mixing metal with j-pop elements seeing metal's decadent state and j-pop being literally everywhere. Then he saw a very young Nakamoto performing with her former girl group and, apparently, it was crystal clear for him that she was perfect to front a metal band and the project he had in mind. It wasn't easy. He was producing content for the kids division of his company, Amuse, a talent agency. He got the opportunity in 2010 when he started producing a larger school themed j-pop idol group called Sakura Gakuin and decided to add a sub-unit dedicated to the heavy music: the heavy music club or "Jūonbu". The company wasn't so sure but let him do, although without any extra budget. They started gaining notoriety, performing small gigs in tiny venues and even shopping malls... until they eventually split from SG in early 2013. The rest is history. Performing at the Budokan is considered a life goal for any Japanese artist. Performing there being 16 and 14 is just mind-blowing. If you enjoyed their theatrics and such, wait until you meet the other two ladies that form BABYMETAL alongside Su-metal. They are currently Moa Kikuchi (Moametal) and Momoko Okazaki (Momometal). There is a former member, Yui Mizuno. She had to leave in 2018 officially, after not being able to perform since October 2017. Momoko was added in April 2023 after being one of the three backup dancers (Avengers) since 2019. They are very diverse musically. So, I hope to see you with more BABYMETAL. 😊 🤘🦊
Great introduction to an amazing and unexpected band! There are many more interesting songs to experience, if you so desire! Great job in the discussion, too! By far the best reaction I have seen in some tine!
Only Su could follow that wicked intro from the Kami band ,she was 16 during this performance and she was totally on fire you should see Akatsuki and Catch me if you can from this gig its mind blowing. Welcome to the Foxhole 🦊
it's great to watch someone react who knows and appreciates the complexities of the musicians he is watching. another babymetal song that features the band before the singers come out is "catch me if you can".
Nice reaction. A favorite Babymetal song of mine. Many will tell you that Babymetal live is the best way to experience Babymetal. And they are right. Even Babymetal thinks of their albums as just a business card that just introduces their songs. They feel their songs are not complete until the audience becomes part of it. Another reason to experience Babymetal live is because the intros to songs by the Kamiband are not on the albums. Welcome to the Foxhole. It is deep and full of surprises.
Su-Metal, the lead singer, was only 16 (this show was 10 years ago) at the time. This is kind of a weird one to start becacuse there are 2 other girls in the group. If you want to see current day Babymetal, with some super intricate muscianship, try Mirror Mirror (live).
Great reaction! In my opinion, tearing up is the biggest compliment one can give to a musician. I love all BABYMETAL songs, but this is one of my favourites. Usually their music is full of positivity and optimism, but this one has a rather dark atmosphere. The protagonist in the lyrics is finding themselves trapped in a recurring nightmare, running through darkness and hiding from an unknown being, until they finally realize that there is no escape. I find it amazing how the music, especially the chorus, manages to convey this atmosphere. Even without understanding the lyrics, one can feel that there is something sinister going on. And at the same time, there's an incredible beauty to the melody. If you are interested, please check out more of their music. There is a great variety in their catalogue, and usually there is another unique facet to their performances that you probably wouldn't expect from Metal music, which is choreographed dancing. It's difficult to imagine, but it works so well!
Not the first to be brought to tears at a Babymetal performance. Solos were just the intro to the song! One of Su's solos, amazing voice! You will be greatly surprised at all The Babymetal brings. Keep going! Road of Resistance Live would be nice.
The fastest entry to the Teardrop Club i've ever seen.😁 Su has this effect on all fans eventually, but not usually instantly!!! 'Oh, they have a singer as well.......(Su starts singing)......i'm tearing up!'🥲 And it's a metal song about being trapped in a nightmare as well LOL (Wait till you hear a ballad). Welcome to the club!
Awesome, welcome to the incredible world of Babymetal! And it's okay, many-a-grown men have shed a tear to Queen Su-metal's amazing vocals....and she's only 16 here! Babymetal combines amazingly epic, beautiful, or at times playful J-pop vocals with hard-hitting heavy metal, and amazing choreography (there 2 other girls, this was Su-metal's solo). In addition, their message is always positive, uplifting, a call to action, or simply goofy and fun. Here's a wide range of styles to give you a sample of Babymetal, have fun with the analysis 😆. *Monochrome (Pia Arena MM, 2023):* A now grown up Babymetal in their mid-20s. Melodic, emotional, and absolutely amazing, not too heavy, but just enough. *Brand New Day (Official Live):* Features guitarist Tim and Scottie from Polyphia. Chill, vibey, and uplifting, live performance from early 2024. *Catch Me If You Can (Budokan 2014):* Same show as Rond of Nightmare, Slipknot, but cute. The most brutally heavy song about hide and seek. *Tales of the Destinies (Tokyo Dome 2016):* Dream Theater you say? How about a technical AF nod to Dream Theater? Except with choreography. Mike Portnoy gave this song his personal thumbs up. *Road of Resistance (Official Live):* Jan 2015 show, epic battle anthem, Babymetal's staple show closer for almost a decade now. Herman Li and Sam Totman of Dragonforce were involved with the guitar parts. Hope you do more Babymetal! 🤘🦊
Very nice reaction. Babymetal is all about the theatrical live stage performances. In their large concerts (mostly done in Japan) they even try to weave in a whole storyline, so the whole thing becomes a play. For example the Legend 1997 show was on Su-metal's (the main singer) 16th birthday, it celebrates her life from a J-pop Idol singer to being sacrificed and reborn as a metal god. At 16 she was already an industry veteran being on stage for most of her life. If you get requests for the following three songs: Headbanger!, Akatsuki & Babymetal Death. Then I suggest to watch them in this order from the Legend 1997 concert, together they form: The Trilogy of Death. Both Akatsuki and Babymetal Death are very special in this concert. The songs are composed by different people and the style of each song will be quite different, there is also a lot of collaboration with other artists. They do their best to be authentic to each of the many (metal-)genres of music they adopt for their songs. Of course they add their own twist to it, Kawaii-metal (Cute-metal), as they combine Metal with cute vocals, dance and lyrics. Babymetal are, at the time of this concert, the three girls: Su-metal, Moametal and Yuimetal. Today they consist of: Su-metal, Moametal and Momometal. Su-metal is the lead singer, and Moa, Yui and Momometal are dancers, backing vocals and do crowd interaction. The musicians are called the Kami band and are very talented session-musicians and their members are semi-stable, but they do rotate in and out due to availabilty, we call these the East-Kami band, currently Babymetal are touring with the West-Kami band. Next to the 4 members of the Kami band, keyboard, harsh vocals, and other instruments are played from a track. Early in Babymetal the music was fully on backing track and the band dressed as skeletons are actors pretending to play the instruments, they are called the Babybones.
*shreds* "I can't shred, but..." Okay buddy. Keep sandbagging. :D lol. Seriously though, thanks for reacting to and diving into the single most interesting band. Hope you'll do more songs by Babymetal. Your reactions are entertaining and fun! Welcome to the Foxhole. 🤘🦊🤘
Well done! Their Live performances are all stellar - you can't make a bad choice! The fact that you know a B minor 7th vs an E Flat harmonic minor will allow you to really enjoy exploring the many musical layers of BABYMETAL. Welcome to the foxhole! #notacult
Always nice to see someone react honestly to Babymetal. I was confused the first time I teared up listening to Su, truly. If you are returning to BM, I suggest you do YAVA! next. Always live, the shows are something else.
this band is AMAZING. So many styles. Every song is vastly different. PS - your eyes do the same thing as mine in the sight of good music. Tears come. Wild. More Babymetal :) Japanese music is incredible. Especially metal it seems.
Welcome to the foxhole. There is no one like BabyMetal . As already mentioned, BabyMetal are 3 girls and the musicians, their backing band . If you decide to watch more BabyMetal, you will be in for a great time . Think you will like Grington 300 300 recommendation Monochrome I😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
It's ok, we all tear up when we see our Queen doing her thing. This is what Babymetal do to you. Enjoy over 60 songs on your BM journey if you want heavy and happy music. Try Monochrome Live at Clear Night next. You won't be disappointed. Just have your tissues ready.
They have just finished a 93 world concert series , they have a huge loyal following. As someone bought up on black sabbath, nazareth, pink floyd, etc where musicianship is good and sing is good. Now we have babymetal with amazingly timing and quality. My favourite BM song is the one i am listening to. Always live is best I suggest monochrome from clear night 2021, then BMC from legend-mm , karate , from dusk till dawn at budokan 2021, road of resistance, and only when you are ready for it , babymetal death legend 1997. Please note babymetal is a play on the japanese word for heavy and baby which are very similar. Also a new type of metal. Su-metal has absolute crowd control, while moa-metal and momo-metal dance non stop and provide backing singing.
Great reaction. If this was your first BABYMETAL song, you started with a powerful one, this song is one of the four solo performances of Su Metal (Suzuka) from Babymetal. The band who is playing is called the Kami band a group of session musicians who are playing for Babymetal on live shows. I can recommend some other songs from them with the band intro like "Cach Me if you can", "Aadama Fever" with the kami est band, and "Yava" much newer with the kami west band, and of course Welcome to the Fox hole!
Great reaction. I like how, from the musician's POV you just 'get it.' And, I'm felling slightly guilty here in feeling so much joy at seeing a guy holding a guitar with 'play along' aspirations just utterly floored by the intro. It's like, "Okay, I'ma just going to watch this, k?"
Ah man the BABYMETAL crying effect is just something else. Just few artists could move someone in such a way, where you feel the love for music, reminds me of Michael Jackson. If he was alive I think he would love BABYMETAL and the performances, he was very into Japanese culture, unfortunately BABYMETAL just came out after the year he died. I hope someone requests Akatsuki (Unfinished ver.), if you cried in the Rondo of Nightmare like me & many of these people, you're going to be in awe of this one as well.
Hey! So so glad you felt moved by this song!!! Rondo of Nightmare is one of my absolute favorites from Babymetal and it shows why! And given your interest in the intrumental preamble, the name of the instrumentalists collectively is Kami Band (OG East Formation, there's quite a few) or, to translate, Band of the Gods and this session is nicknamed as "Mischief of The Metal Gods" a moment taken for each of them to have a solo moment and shine as the main event, something all Babymetal fans love to appreciate, as they're big part of what makes the whole conjoined effort called Babymetal so off the curve! As for its fitting in the show, that's followed by the Main Singer, known as Su-Metal, rising from the ground. That's what the Mischief of the Metal Gods do, it summons her, she's been summoned from the octagon in a ritual to sing a dark, lamenting lullaby of being chased in the dark by a faceless horror. Now ain't that metal as f***! Welcome to Babymetal, the fox hole full of incredible songs and new surprises at every turn. If you wish to be moved to tears once again I recommend you the song Monochrome. My #1 and one of their most emotional songs after you learn its meaning You can pick either three versions: Studio, Live at Pia Arena 2023 or The First Take, all very special in its own unique ways, all very moving, although I recommend you either of the latter two, since Babymetal is always at its best game when live, they're live performers first and it shows! And yes, Babymetal is very very theatrical, part of their deal is that the dancing is interpretative of the lyrics and serving as one of the methods of communicating and conveying the experience as a whole, so they get to be very audacious and ambitious in their performances to the point where even a small venue gets to be embiggened by their stage presence and it's also very detailed, the minutiae of it all coming together is impressive to see up close! If you like bands which the performances have a high production value and carefully detailed ways your in for a treat!
Well, here comes a new challenger! Welcome to the FoxHole! If you cried at this performance, prepare yourself... You haven't seen anything yet. +1 LIKE and SUB. BabyMetal Forever!! 🦊🦊🍅🦊
@@FaanaMusic I had seen the video shortly after you uploaded, but I was kind of lost to know what to say. Usually I try to be informative, etc. but others already did. So I ended up with a witty comment.
@@FaanaMusic I realized, I can say 1 thing, Babymetal is fairly easy to because it might be heavy and metal and even progressive at times... basically all of it is very melodic.
Interesting choice for the first time Babymetal. Why peeking carefully, if I can also just do the cannonball into the fox hole? Great reaction and thanks for your thoughts on that one. Got the feeling, "Monochrome" (Live at PIA Arena) might be a good one for you to listen to. Or "No Rain No Rainbow" (Live at Legend S Baptism XX) maybe even more.
Nice reaction to the incredible musical experience known as BabyMetal. This performance of RONDO is a good introduction to the virtuosos of the original Kami Band and to Her Majesty Queen Suzuka, vocalist extraordinaire and BabyMetal’s stage general. They have a long list of awesome songs in their catalog, mixing different genres and styles in their own unique way. Along with the dazzling instrumentals and Queen Su’s amazing voice, their live performances feature beautiful choreography with all three of the girls, and elaborate stage productions. You should consider reacting to ROAD OF RESISTANCE (Live in Japan Official, 2015). This is BabyMetal’s ultimate anthem, the song they usually use as their show closer. The guitar lines were written for BabyMetal by Herman Li & Sam Totman of DragonForce. To see what they are doing this year, you could react to ROAD OF RESISTANCE (Legend MM 2024 Live).
Queen Su has trapped another one! Great start! You are in for a very good ride.. there's a lot of good comments and suggestions, please do review them. These ladies have been dominating since they were really really young. The members of the band are sessions musicians and they change every now and then... recently they have been using a western based band as backing. Welcome to the foxhole! My only suggestion.. is "No Rain No Rainbow" legend S version. There is a subtitled version.. but the way the instruments and Su complement each other is a complete masterpiece... This version is held in Hiroshima, which is the hometown for Su-metal, both her grandparents are survivors of Hiroshima. This song might be more appealing to your audience. Monochrome also a very good candidate for your audience, especially the piano version done on the UA-cam Channel "The First Take". But do check the live version of Monochrome also. T
Wow! You really seemed like you didn't want to watch that at all and were almost making excuses for it before even hitting play. The tears in your eyes by the end were such a joy to see. All that talk about giving it a chance even if it's not your preferred genre, because it might surprise you... Never were truer words spoken, eh? 🤣
Oh wow... "Rondo Of Nightmare" as a first time BABYMETAL reaction... that´s rare! Great reaction, and welcome to the Fox Hole! 😄You´ve got a Su-Metal solo with this, and, IMHO, the greatest thing she ever did, being just 16 years old, AND right after BABYMETAL´s Kami Band (East) massively showed off with their intro masterpiece, setting the bar sky high😁 Yes, BABYMETAL are something very special! Interesting that you mentioned "Cirque du Soleil", as there was a metal band member (can´t remember the name right now), who said exactly the same, describing BABYMETAL. Our lore master Grington300 gave you a brief summary already (as always, thank you very much, Grington300!), so you might suspect that you haven´t seen anything (ANYTHING!) yet 😄 Are you interested in how BABYMETAL started their exciting journey? Try - Doki Doki Morning (OFFICIAL) that´s their first song ever, debute in 2010, while they still were part of their parent J-Pop Idol group "Sakura Gakuin". If it should be a more recent piece of BABYMETAL art, try - Babymetal - Monochrome (PIA Arena 2023 Live) Eng Subs respectively - BABYMETAL - Monochrome - Piano ver. / THE FIRST TAKE if you want to cry some more tears of joy while listening to Su-Metal´s incredible singing (we all do, from time to time 😄) That´s a song from their concept album "The Other One" (latest album so far).
"Theatrical, just missing a couple of acrobats rotating around her." You should react to some of the performances with the other girls and you will get some of that. :-) I recommend Headbanger, Road of Resistance and BxMxC.
Welcome to FOXHOLE Estás al borde del abismo y no hay escapatoria Su-metal16 years (vocalist), Yuimetal y Moametal 14 años (they don't appear in this song), They are the youngest musical act to perform at the Budokan. #notacult
Beautiful. Babymetal hires professional songwriters to compose their music, and this one was composed and arranged (and the lyrics written) by Yuyoyuppe, who is also a vocaloid producer. I would highly recommend checking out his latest EP SICK -やんでる- (Sick Yanderu), though if Rondo pushed the limits on what's too heavy for your channel it might not be suitable for a reaction video 😄
To be clear, I would _love_ to get a reaction to that EP, or at least the first song or two - you would join the ranks of like three people who have ever reacted to it - but I know it wouldn't likely be a very popular video for you
@@silly_programme5061 If you didn't know already, i created a playlist on my YT homepage that collects all the songs that Yuyoyuppe has written for other bands, groups and singers. I have found at least 158 songs so far (that's not including all his vocaloid, band or EDM stuff). There are some stunning songs in there, in a similar style to Babymetal that you might not know about. I have no videos myself, so i'm not after traffic, i'm just a huge fan of Yuyoyuppes music.
Straight to the heart. Yep, that's what they do. They cover the full range from hauntingly beautiful to crazy extactic. And throw some piano and techno in there too, because why not? Strap in for a wild ride if you're going to keep exploring them. I'm a grown ass man and I've been a metalhead all my life and nothing has ever hit me like these guys.
Great reaction! Subbed and can't wait to see what you react to next from them. Personally I'd like you to check out Akatsuki both the unfinished and finished version. The unfinished is a piano ballad and finished gets the full Babymetal treatment.
Babymetal is actually the girls. There are two more but this song only has Suzuka. Kami Band is their backing band. This Kami Band is mostly retired. The new one is equally good.
Welcome to the fox hole!!! I always love people's first reactions to BABYMETAL. As someone who knows nothing about music theory it was fascinating to hear you break it down and made me appreciate it that much more. I also had a very emotional reaction my first time hearing one of their ballads. If you liked this, i recommend their song Akatsuki. For a different style "From Dusk to Dawn" gave me goosebumps first time i heard it. The kami band (the backing band) is incredible and Babymetal (the lead and backup singers) have incredible energy and talent! Theyre best live imo.
Guys, guys, guys… Wait till he finds out there’s three singers! LMAO 🤣 I hope that video exists already! I must go find it. Welcome to the Foxhole brother 🤘🏻🦊❤️🔥
You have now joined the long list of reactors brought to tears by a live performance by BabyMetal. Welcome!
You are Kitsune now.
And he still hasn't seen the other 2 "acrobats" yet 🤣
"How did she emerge from the middle?" Easy. Paint an octagon on the stage, bring your buddies and show your skills, and the Fox God's Queen will be summoned if you are good enough.
Great explanation! 🤣
Science. Well put. 🦊

They were back at the Budokan as part of their 10th anniversary celebration and played 10 shows over the first 3 or 4 months of 2021.
Thank you for reacting to my request! I'm so glad you not only liked it but were moved by it. ❤
Excellent first reaction, review, analysis; thank you!
This band is special, no matter how many live performances you find the next one will still blow you away, they are fantastic.
BABYMETAL really knows how to bring out the emotions even on these hard hitting songs.
More Babymetal please im begging you on my knees I loved everything about your video. ❤
(Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz".
That was Yui still, but I do hope they do that song again with Momo 🤞🤞.
@@Ganimal83I don't think therevis any interest by Babymetal. There was a reason, why they played it a Single time. Silence their critics.
@ksbrst2010 never say never with BabyMetal you know they like to catch us out 😁 who would of thought they would perform Doki Doki Morning again 😮🤘🏼🦊
@@ksbrst2010Hmm.
Babymetal brings out all the emotions!!
👍👍Awesomely awesome performance. Angelic voice and instrumental🔥🔥🔥🔥. Great reaction.🦊 🖖❤
you dont have to worry, the band behind babymetal is well known one of the best metal musician you can had. especially this white robe and face paint one
Yeah! The (eastern) "Kami Band" (Band of Gods). A legend in itself!
They have 60+ more songs.Good luck on your Babymetal journey! We will be with you all the way!
> "They have 60+ more songs."
And each song is at least pretty decent. Or like I tend to say: They only relased four "Best of" albums so far...
@steffenjachnow8176 Nod.
60+ more songs and hundreds of live gigs equals 6000+ unique performances. And I really do mean _unique_ there. Realistically, many are going to be _fairly_ similar. So let's compromise on, say, 1500 different performances.
Have at it, curatedpixels, better get going! 😂
So glad you enjoyed your first taste of Babymetal.
You have so much more to experience, and we look forward to your next visit…😊
🤘🔥🦊🔥🤘
Yes, Suzukas vocals are something very special. You have now experienced one third of BabyMetal. This was their lead vocalist Su-metal, and of course their incredible backing musicians The Kami Band.
Since you may not be the biggest metal fan (yet, BabyMetal will change that), here are a couple of songs that you probably will like.

If you like that, there is so very much more, and not all from BabyMetal.
🤘🦊
Great introduction to an amazing and unexpected band! There are many more interesting songs to experience, if you so desire! Great job in the discussion, too! By far the best reaction I have seen in some tine!
Only Su could follow that wicked intro from the Kami band ,she was 16 during this performance and she was totally on fire you should see Akatsuki and Catch me if you can from this gig its mind blowing.
Welcome to the Foxhole 🦊
You will have a blast with a LOT of their songs. I'm not worried, I'm sure someone already recommended at least 5-6 songs for your kind of taste.
it's great to watch someone react who knows and appreciates the complexities of the musicians he is watching. another babymetal song that features the band before the singers come out is "catch me if you can".
"Just missing a couple of acrobats moving around her.." interesting, wait until you see Yui and Moa.... or Moa and Momo in the later incarnation.....
You will reach your “Tales of Destinies” in the near future. It is your destiny 🌈🦊😊.
BABYMETAL are the best performers i've seen in my life period. I would put them up there with the greats, they're fenominal
Not the first to be brought to tears at a Babymetal performance. Solos were just the intro to the song! One of Su's solos, amazing voice! You will be greatly surprised at all The Babymetal brings. Keep going! Road of Resistance Live would be nice.
The fastest entry to the Teardrop Club i've ever seen.😁
Su has this effect on all fans eventually, but not usually instantly!!!
Watching your reaction was like looking into the mirror the 1st time i watched this song 🤣
BabyMetal: Monochrome or Brand New Day might be good next reactions. 🙂👍
*shreds*
"I can't shred, but..."
Okay buddy.
You have some surprises coming your way
ギターの大村さんは、この曲で一番難しいのはボーカルだと言っていました。
If you like Dream Theater, try Tales of Destinies from Babymetal.
this band is AMAZING. So many styles. Every song is vastly different.
PS - your eyes do the same thing as mine in the sight of good music. Tears come. Wild. More Babymetal :)
Japanese music is incredible. Especially metal it seems.
Welcome to the foxhole. There is no one like BabyMetal . As already mentioned, BabyMetal are 3 girls and the musicians, their backing band .
If you decide to watch more BabyMetal, you will be in for a great time . Think you will like Grington 300 300 recommendation Monochrome I😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
BABYMETAL brings grown men to tears.....I speak from experience
I can second that
It's ok, we all tear up when we see our Queen doing her thing.
Always live is best
I suggest monochrome from clear night 2021, then BMC from legend-mm , karate , from dusk till dawn at budokan 2021, road of resistance, and only when you are ready for it , babymetal death legend 1997.
Please note babymetal is a play on the japanese word for heavy and baby which are very similar. Also a new type of metal.
Su-metal has absolute crowd control, while moa-metal and momo-metal dance non stop and provide backing singing.
I loved your reaction! 🖤 I hope see more of Babymetal in your channel!
Kitsune up! 🦊🤘
Akatsuki black night, amore at Wembly, and no rain no rainbow budkan would be good to react to. All babymetal btw
Enjoyed your reaction immensely. There is so much much more to discover in BABYMETAL repertoire. I hope you will follow this fox path.
Great reaction. I like how, from the musician's POV you just 'get it.'
And, I'm felling slightly guilty here in feeling so much joy at seeing a guy holding a guitar with 'play along' aspirations just utterly floored by the intro.
It's like, "Okay, I'ma just going to watch this, k?"
More BABYMETAL pls)
Ah man the BABYMETAL crying effect is just something else. Just few artists could move someone in such a way, where you feel the love for music, reminds me of Michael Jackson. If he was alive I think he would love BABYMETAL and the performances, he was very into Japanese culture, unfortunately BABYMETAL just came out after the year he died. I hope someone requests Akatsuki (Unfinished ver.), if you cried in the Rondo of Nightmare like me & many of these people, you're going to be in awe of this one as well.
MJ was Yoshiki's friend (X-Japan) so I'm pretty sure he would know about BM.🦊🤘🔥
My #1 and one of their most emotional songs after you learn its meaning
You can pick either three versions: Studio, Live at Pia Arena 2023 or The First Take, all very special in its own unique ways, all very moving, although I recommend you either of the latter two, since Babymetal is always at its best game when live, they're live performers first and it shows!
Honestly, am amazing reaction. Having a good breakdown, both mentally and on the technicalities. 🙂
Haha, that's funny, thanks!
One of the best live shows I've ever been to and I'm pretty old and have been to quite a few.
To see what they are doing this year, you could react to ROAD OF RESISTANCE (Legend MM 2024 Live).
such a great reaction! thanks a lot!

Umphhh, that tone when Rondo of Nightmare proper starts 😊
Babymetal ❤🦊🤘
Amore, Akatsuki, Arkadia, and No rain No rainbow
Wow! You really seemed like you didn't want to watch that at all and were almost making excuses for it before even hitting play. The tears in your eyes by the end were such a joy to see. All that talk about giving it a chance even if it's not your preferred genre, because it might surprise you... Never were truer words spoken, eh? 🤣

"Rondo Of Nightmare (悪夢の輪舞曲; Akumu No Rondo)"

[English:]
The waning moon has lit up
the insanity rampant in the shade
The laughter resounds around
It bares its fangs and its eyes gleam
I can’t escape from it
It flickers slowly
appearing and disappearing in my mind
A nightmare rondo is being repeated
The awakening light
is gone far away out of my sight
I can do nothing but run
through the darkness
In the woods, in the fountain
I hide myself holding my breath
but it’s still coming closer to me
A stagnant voice. An endless night
Ah…
If I can no longer get out of here
won’t you show me your figure?
It flickers slowly
appearing and disappearing in my mind
A nightmare rondo is being repeated
The awakening light
is gone far away out of my sight
I can do nothing but fall
into the darkness

Oh wow... "Rondo Of Nightmare" as a first time BABYMETAL reaction... that´s rare! Great reaction, and welcome to the Fox Hole! 😄You´ve got a Su-Metal solo with this, and, IMHO, the greatest thing she ever did, being just 16 years old, AND right after BABYMETAL´s Kami Band (East) massively showed off with their intro masterpiece, setting the bar sky high😁
Yes, BABYMETAL are something very special! Interesting that you mentioned "Cirque du Soleil", as there was a metal band member (can´t remember the name right now), who said exactly the same, describing BABYMETAL.
Our lore master Grington300 gave you a brief summary already (as always, thank you very much, Grington300!), so you might suspect that you haven´t seen anything (ANYTHING!) yet 😄
Are you interested in how BABYMETAL started their exciting journey? Try
- Doki Doki Morning (OFFICIAL)
that´s their first song ever, debute in 2010, while they still were part of their parent J-Pop Idol group "Sakura Gakuin".
If it should be a more recent piece of BABYMETAL art, try
- Babymetal - Monochrome (PIA Arena 2023 Live) Eng Subs
respectively
- BABYMETAL - Monochrome - Piano ver. / THE FIRST TAKE
if you want to cry some more tears of joy while listening to Su-Metal´s incredible singing (we all do, from time to time 😄)
That´s a song from their concept album "The Other One" (latest album so far).
"Theatrical, just missing a couple of acrobats rotating around her." You should react to some of the performances with the other girls and you will get some of that. :-) I recommend Headbanger, Road of Resistance and BxMxC.
Road of resistance!! 🎉🎉🎉

You should try Headbanger @Legend 1997
Try babymetal reaction babymetal yava Fox festival 2017 with kami band intro🙏
Everything Fox Festival 2017 has a very high probability of getting blocked since YT increased restrictions in January.
Great reaction brother
🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥
Nice reaction! This band is a beast.
A 16yo girl with no fear !
Welcome to the Foxhole, kindly please don't take so long to come back and keep enjoying BM songs.🦊🤘🔥
You inspired me, I'll record some today!
Awesome reaction! My new dream is to see Baby Metal perform with Ningen Isu! That would be epic!
You know it’s honest when he was surprised to see a singer and obviously doesn’t know yet there is more to Babymetal.

Queen supported by Gods.
great reactoon...next you have react Tales of Destenies live at tokyo Dome...Dream Theater vibe...👍👍🦊🦊🦊
Babymetal are a force! ❤
just a shout out Great Reaction!
I have the same tears as you, it's incredible (and after watching this video a lot)
Excellent reaction! 甘美な悪夢に酔い痴れます。
Great reaction! Subbed and can't wait to see what you react to next from them. Personally I'd like you to check out Akatsuki both the unfinished and finished version. The unfinished is a piano ballad and finished gets the full Babymetal treatment.
20:55 Ya know.... its funny that you mention that lol
Great review btw
Amei sua reação. Babymetal faz isso conosco. Se puder reaja a babymetal - akatsuki, irá gostar bastante
Su was 16 at this point I think, remarkable really.
Babymetal is actually the girls. There are two more but this song only has Suzuka. Kami Band is their backing band. This Kami Band is mostly retired. The new one is equally good.
The Kami Band are not retired. They're just done touring with Babymetal but they're still playing their own independent music in Japan .
@@adamazri928 Not as the "Kami band", and not together. They are all doing their own thing.
見応えのある動画でした。ありがとうございます。
please more Babymetal 🥺🥺💜💜🫶🏻🫶🏻
Can't wait!
私のお気に入りを楽しんでくれて嬉しいです。ドリームシアターが好きならいつかBABYMETALの「Tales of the Destinies」を試して下さい。気長に待っています🎵
