I have never been so emotionally invested in the survival of random NPC characters. Seeing the tiefling kids slaughtered brought me to reload, losing two hours of gameplay, and the full wrath of Lae'zel, Karlach, and my warlock on the bastards that killed them. Baldur's Gate 3 really got me at such a great time. 2023 was the year I started playing DnD and became super into it so later that year when I started playing this game it was incredible. I remade my first ever DnD character for my first playthrough and absolutely fell in love with the game's story, music, sense of choice, and especially its cast of characters. Every party member in this game is great in their own way and all of them absolutely touched me by the end of the story. One of the greatest casts in video game history without a doubt.
I have heard a lot of people mix this soundtrack many different ways in the past few months and I cant stress how important an good mix is for the quality of a soundtrack. This was very good.
The number of times I've listened to this is easily in the hundreds. It's more or less become my soundtrack when I'm doing anything that requires focus - work, house chores, D&D prep, etc... seriously, great work.
This music brings me to tears, now going through a 3rd playthru, this game has been the most memorable thing for me in decades. Since ff14, I haven't been so sucked into a story, transported to a world, so attached to the characters.
