Thanks for this video! I have been deep in a rabbit hole, researching what camera to buy and what lens. This was the final video for me to confirm that it’ll be sony a7IV + 24-70mm lens 🤩
Yep! That is exactly the combo I'm shooting on 90% of the time. I love new cameras and tech, but the A7IV is still a beast of a camera and paired with the 24-70 ii is perfect in most scenarios. I'm glad you are talking about this! This camera is still pro level.
King Kenny! This is exactly the set I use too! I sold my Fujifilm gear due to the poor autofocus and got the A7IV and Sigma 24-70 II and I love it. I think next I will get the 35mm GM, the Sigma 85mm, and the Sony 200-600. いつも面白い動画ありがとう 🙏
I bought this Sigma lens for my Sony A7cII as I thought that Sony's equivalent GM lens way too expensive, and I have not regretted it at all as my Sigma lens has now really opened my eyes 👀to Sigma's fantastic Art series lenses 👍
My dream combo! For now I have an old a7i 😢 and pondering to buy the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 g2. Maybe in future I'll get to the top with a7iv and sigma! Thanks for your videos as always.
for the price weight, and cost the tamron is the perfect lens. i have the G2 and it's as sharp as a knife! it weights a lot less than the sigma and is considerably smaller.. you won't regret it.
My combo: A7RV + Sigma 24-70mm II. You’re right, the GM II is too expensive. It makes more sense to buy the Sigma and an additional prime for that price.
I have the opposite combo LOL - my Sony A7RV & Sigma 24-70 I (OG). Version I is not as sharp as the II Versions of Sony or Sigma, but I've been moving to lenses that aren't clinically sharp and a alittle bit of character. I do feel that the A7V next year will address many of the issues/challenges, features & capabilities of its competitors.
I agree it's a great set up. but it's not beginner friendly when you factor in cost. for new shooters / people upgrading to the a7IV. the Tamron G2 being nearly half the price, weight and size with crazy fast autofocus, it's genuinely a better combo for most.
Have the Sony a7iv and the original sigma 24-70 f2.8 art and I just don’t love this lens. I find myself using my sigma 35mm f1.4 DG DN or the Samyang AF 85mm f1.4 II much more.
i think the sigma 28-105 2.8 would be better than the 24-70, Sure you cant go as wide, but the extra 35mm zoom can go quite a bit for content, or the canon 24-105. Sony does have a 24-105, but its f4 instead
I Honestly think Lumix is a better deal Sony A7IV & Sigma 24-70mm II Art would cost $3,480 with that Combo but Lumix S5II $2,980 /S5IIx $3,080 that is including the Sigma Sigma 24-70mm II Art almost $500 less and you get 6k open gate
In my opinion, Lumix offers us better performance in videography such as codec options and color science. But like I mentioned in this video, Sony has a better operability and ecosystem.
Love the drawing at 6:27
Great video, i found your channel and you have great vibe, thanks!

So glad this ended your maze!

Absolutely it is!!
It's potential is crazy
i literally just purchased this lens for my A7IV, finally upgrading my kit lens!
Congratulations 👏👏👏
Did the same thing two weeks ago and did not regret it all so far. But the Lens is much heavier than the kit lens.
@@tammohirdesSony 24-70mm GM ii (;
It's nice seeing some A7IV love. Also just got this lense myself. Big fan of the quality of it.
It really is!

Have this combo and totally agreed with you

Buy the Tamron! It’s amazing!
Hope you can get it soon 😁
It's amazing!

my dream combo a7iv + tamron + land cruiser
So for video first do you recommend the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 over the Sony 20-70 f4? You spoke very highly about that Sony lens.
im using a a74 with the version 1 of the 24-70
Want a comparison between Lumix 28-200 vs Samyang 35-150.
My combo: A7RV + Sigma 24-70mm II.

I'm very much looking forward to the A7V!!
from india .. cool vides bro
Hi! How did you do the slog3 grading in this video?

What about IS in third part lenses? Is it really worse in the Sigma 24-70 than in the GM 24-70?
same here
I am planning to buy sony a7r iiia and sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 ii, will it be a good combo?
Think so!
Have the Sony a7iv and the original sigma 24-70 f2.8 art and I just don’t love this lens. I find myself using my sigma 35mm f1.4 DG DN or the Samyang AF 85mm f1.4 II much more.

Sony video is infinitely better than anything lumix can produce. Better auto focus as well
In my opinion, Lumix offers us better performance in videography such as codec options and color science. But like I mentioned in this video, Sony has a better operability and ecosystem.
Thanks!
How about s5iix instead xddd
I'll make another vid for that 😉
yea S5II eats A7IV
