I did the "2 minutes to ten minutes thing" even though My Audi doesnt have a blinking key light. IT WORKED! YOU ROCK! now it starts up normal every time :)
@@JSeds sorry no it didn't☹️ however I did fix the issue without the dealers involment. Cost me only $100 plus about an hrs of my time. I purchased a use cluster ignition and computer (ECU) Important note ignition must come with original key. I switched out all three items and like magic the came to life & stayed running and I never looked back. 😁
Hey I got q5 2017 s line crank no start had a hole in the bottom of the pan ; got that fixed and so happy that I did I immediately started the car it sad 30 miles I thought it might was wrong since gas leaked but it ran fine for 3 mins and shut off I added 3 gallons and it still want start unless starter fluid is sprayed and it still died 3 secs after that

Hello Holly, I used your method of disconnecting the battery to reprogram one key and it worked. The second key I tried turning the key to the prestart location and wait 2-10 minutes. This method did not work for the second key. I am concerned that if I attempt the battery disconnect for the second key I will lose the reprogram on the first key. any suggestions. At this point i can drive the car but the key will not lock or unlock the doors via the key fob buttons.

Is the mobilizer the black ring that is located at the end of the key cylinder and is there diode that is in it?? Where there is a green and black wire that may look as if it plugs into it?
You maybe into something with my 2003 Audi Allroad Quattro 2.7 before I had this starting issue leading up to it all of a sudden I have to manually unlock my doors, I would attempt to resync my key food like I did when I changed the battery in the key food a month ago, it worked a few times but not now and the car engine turns over like a champ but refuses to fire. I was thinking coil relay based on other videos and then I saw this video. Like another guy said it worked for him but he didn't have any warning lights or buzzers, either do I. I will try this method in the morning. Bed time. Thanks and here's 🙏 this works.

I am having thatvsame problem and guess what 3 Mecanic’s could knew what was wrong with it soni have to take to the audi dealer an they charge me 175 and they said its that cylender with housing they want to charge me 1675 yes one thousand an six hundred and seventy five to get it fix
My car can't make a quick stop. It starts then off. Had to wait 10 min before each stop to run the car. Also can't stay idle for long time or it engine off itself. Had changed spark. Coil. PVC. Fuel regulator. Still same. Problem started at snow weather.
I fixed mine by replacing the key reader ignition, it's white and the very tip of your key turns it and it reads your key, over time all that voltage Burns them out and they go bad, I almost bought keys 350 bucks, I almost got cluster even more but nope it was a 30 dollar part and no trips to the dealer
hello sir good after noon. i have one audi A8 2010 model 3.2L FSI engine.this car engine shut off while idling after warm up. P1602,P2279,P0068. the first starting of this car have long starting.
When that part goes bad, it won't start when it's hot, but will probably start when it's cold, & then when it's warm it will suddenly run bad with a check light, & then not start when you turn it off, untill it's cold again. Easy fix, obvious fault code on OBDI, cheap part & easy to DIY.
That is the dumbest thing I have seen.. I’m not a mechanic but did u try to think why it starts after ur unplug the battery and put it back on it’s Cos the battery terminal is lose .
No asshole it’s not because the battery terminal is lose. it has to do with the key sensor that is broken and thinks the car is being stolen. It’s a short term fix until you can get the it fixed.

What your problem is. Your immobilizer is not connected to your key fob so there for your car will NOT start until you rsync it

It's not a loose terminal, this is the immobiliser going wrong. The same thing happens if you try to replace an electronic component of the car.
