Vera loves her bearded dragon Strawberry to the moon and back. Always intrigued by reptiles, she was thrilled when her parents brought home a tiny beardie. Strawberry appreciates Vera's care, enjoying climbing on her and listening to the books they read (or at least, pretending quite convincingly!). Now, this duo is inseparable: the girl and her scaly best friend.

I don't know which is more adorable - Vera love and enthusiasm, or strawberry's loving gaze!
That little girl touches and takes hold of all those insects without problems for her friend, while I (a big thirty-seven year old) if I see a cockroach in the courtyard, I can't sleep for a week 😂

This was great. Thumbs up for Vera who is a very cool kid. Thumbs up for Strawberry - a wonderful teacher and interesting companion. Mom was smart and creative to encourage this.
My first thought is oh not again child with a Beardie 🦎 but actually Vera is very gentle with Strawberry 🦎 and this is very important. Lizards aren’t toys for kids. It’s amazing to see how responsible and respectful she is to Strawberry 😊. Vera is very special and “I don’t say it very often about kids”. She will be a great exotic Veterinarian. Wish her and 🍓 🦎 a long health and happy life together 🙏🏻 ❤️

Great story & bond! Lil Vera very gentle & will be a lifetime lover of all animals. Start early if your child has a deep interest. Kudos to mom for researching. Many will get a reptile without much thought of individual needs 💕

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful little girl.
My daughter has one named Igneel. He's about 5 now. Bearded dragons are fun but you have to pay attention to them. It's easy to just forget them in thier cage.

Vera and Strawberry remind me of my younger self. I got a beardie when I was seven, and I did the same things she's doing. Mine was named Sam, he's since passed away, but he'll always be my first.
Bearded dragons are very docile and great starter lizards. The hardest part is maintaining the right temperature and humidity which is also pretty easy. (Along with UVB. (What the sun gives off pretty much..they require it. So dont just get a heat lamp. Youll need a lamp for UVB also if you want them to thrive.) They take extra space for a cage but they're very manageable.

Get her a taegu or monitor lizard (not a nasty iguana) - and see how that works out !

Need to talk to an exotic animal vet about salmonella and other problems they can pass to humans. Keep her mouth off the lizard, especially the lizards own mouth. Blows my mind, especially when people let parrots kiss their beaks and let birds go into their mouths. WTH??!!
This is not a toy , its a reptile ! Dont touch on top of the haed and keep it in the terrarium. ( tank ) There is the right place for that animals to be ! This video is terrible !!
