I've wanted to mention this for a while, but is there any chance GGD modifies the way snares are sampled in the future?
Currently in GGD libraries, the hardest velocity layers on snare are usually very punchy rimshots, center hits start on lower velocities. But time and time again I find myself wanting a harder center hit for certain sections of a song, which is not an option unfortunately.
I like how the Benny Greb pack handles this by having a dedicated articulation for rimshots. Is it possible to do center hit and rimshot as two different articulations in the future?

definitely the snappiest of the drum sound you guys have ever done (discounting dedicated Metal kits like Invasion and OKW, well, Metal).

    Hello, GGD!
Quick Question: Is is possible to see/get a list of all the articulations on this new Drum Library? Is there any difference when comparing to the other drum libraries in your catalogue (Invasion, PIV)?
    Thanks.
    Cheers from Portugal!

From a mixing engineering side i see why this would be helpful in the mixing process if needed for most applications. But from a drummer's standpoint, why would i want someone else's sampled sound? In general the goal as a drummer in the studio is to provide solid recordings/ tracks that fit and suit the song. On top it's an added pleasure to capture your own sound and overall uniqueness that adds to the session. I'm not knocking the product. It sounds great and probably the best so far all around sampling. Im guessing this selling point is for the audience that doesn't have either the budget and gear and the talent and good ears to capture the meat and potatoes on their own.

I agree with what you said, but IMO sample libraries are still very useful tools even for drummers.
      1. It's easier to write drum parts when you are away from your kit, or away from a good live room and equipments to track drums
      2. It's very useful to reinforce live drum recordings with samples - you may wish certain hits are harder, you may want a bigger, livelier sounding room mic sound, etc
      3. It's as you said, not everyone has access to a good kit, a good selection of microphones and outboards, an ideal live room and the resources needed to record live drums.
Programmed drums are not meant to completely replace live drums (although some people already do that to great success), they can enhance one another and contribute towards a "bigger sound".

Mostly probably for tracking demos (at least for me). Drums are way harder to capture than bass and guitar in my experience so to just "throw drums" under my song ideas is very convenient. But I'd agree that when you have the opportunity to record real drums for your final release you should take that chance (though even then samples are quite useful as a support in the background)

Sampled kits can be great for drummers to quickly sketch out demos and rough tracks without having to set up mics (if you don’t have your kit permanently miced up) but I think the primary audience is producers and engineers.
A lot of modern productions use completely sampled drums or a live kit with augmented or completely replaced shells.
It also provides a quick way to get good sounding and easily modifiable drums for demos and pre-production.
