Worth the wait. Matt's snare in these samples is perhaps the best I've heard anywhere (for heavy music). Day 1 buy here. Great job, Nolly and GGD crew. Normally, with legacy full GGD kits, I consider how I would route out and mix and so forth. But for, say, presets like "Dracul Gras (full Turbo)", they sound mix ready and I can't think of much else that would need to be done.
Each year I tell myself that we've been spoiled for releases and we'll have to wait a few years before better stuff comes along and yet you guys keep proving me wrong every time. Bravo.
Lastly, damn you guys know how to do a good product demo. The addition of the "what would it take to make that in a final drum mix" section at the end was great, thank you.
Nolly, not only are your audio products absolutely the best on the market - I love how you also share so much knowledge about production in general. I appreciate that so much.
Hey so I’ve spent a couple weeks with it now. When I listened the examples on YT I thought “these sound great as usual”, but having applied them directly in my songs, holy crap this kit sounds incredible! To my ears it sounds like truly passable analog drums rather than just samples, especially if left pretty dry. I can’t quite articulate my exact thoughts, but with minimal processing on the individual kit pieces it already sounds really close to mix-ready. Definitely my favorite kit you guys have done, and I don’t mean that to toot any horns.
I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS, KNEW IT WAS COMING AT AND GGD DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! I have a question for which I hope to be answered, why on this record, as oppose to P4, were the cymbals not all closed mic'd? I remember Nolly saying on the documentary for P4 that he close mic'd everything in order to "capture every aspect of Matts drumming"? Just curious as to why they decided not to do it this time round. AMAZING WORK GUYS!!
You know, speaking of e kits... Mapping presets for different modules and more in depth velocity/curve etc adjustments and options expanded would be very welcome addition.
I was really hoping for this library! Great sounding Kit (we already knew this from the album! :)) Quick question: When you apply parallel compression on a separate channel, do you apply the compression to the entire kit? Equally on every kit piece? Thanks, and keep up the great work! Regards from Portugal!
Beyond Impressive Sampling. If you can pick only one of the presets, which was your fave to use? Mainly, what characteristic makes it shine? Loved recording my recent track with this btw!
Hi! Are there blastbeats or fillers samples included? Also, I have a difficult time dealing with Kontakt (I'm a noob). Is there any way I can use/load the pack? Thanks for the presentation!
Just bought, love it! Only question so far, how can I route the "reverb" built in on the plugin to a separate external channel? It seems to be going to channels 1/2 and I can't change that.
Ahhh I didn't think of that! Giving the "Reverb" channel its own routing options, like other pieces of the kit would be really nice to have in a future update! But the routing suggestion above works. @@GetGoodDrums
Why can I not route my drums to my mixer? When I click the drop down where it says default it only gives me the option for "St1" on all tracks. Help on how to fix?? I have Fl btw
Hey GGD- How do you make Roland aftertouch work with these libraries for cymbal chokes? - Would really love to know - I own Halpern 1 and M&M but I just got a ekit and if I cant find a way to work with the mute I'll have to leave GGD and go to another plugin and I dont want to!
I love those sounds like always BUT my problem is, at least a few years back. Was the toontrack midi import problems to GGD, if i had a e drum set i would easily buy but thats the only thing that keeps me from using ggd
Remap your ggd to toontrack configuration. It will take like 5 minutes and you are good forever. + you can use toontrack player to trigger ggd too. Thats what i have been doing. I use ezdrums to trigger ggd. I program my drums and use midi in toontrack player but the sound of ggd
What s this CPU scaling feature I'm seeing? Is this some "new" feature to help lower to processor load on you computer? Because that'd be sicccck. Although I'd imagine you'd want to turn it back up to max quality before bouncing, but that'd be really cool for the purposes of composition and demo'ing ideas

Same. I pretend he is but that he’s too busy to get back to me.
@@StringCypheralways left on read 😢 😢 😭
He’s my best friend in the sense that I am constantly referring to his mix tutorials and all of his plug-ins
Get on it Nolly! 🫠
Tell dude “hello”. 😘
Maybe grab some coffee. 💡
Nolly is your best friend. He’s all of our best friend.
I think Nolly just became the Bob Ross of Audio Production, he explains everything in such simple way, and his tone of voice is just relaxing!
It's truly phenomenal. You make Periphery better with each record. Thank you, Nolly.
Seriously. He's been the glue that makes their sound and production top fucking notch, he deserves all the credit in the world.
Yea as long as they release the instrumentals its the only way I can tolerate it lol
I fall asleep to these videos because Nolly’s voice is so damn soothing.
Killed it guys! i am READY for the next 3 years worth of bedroom prog EPs to have this exact kit and snare. LETS GO 💯
Nolly, if you’re reading this, please consider a solo record. Love your work, both as a musician and as a producer/engineer.
Man you guys NEVER disappoint! This kit sounds MONSTROUS!!! 🔥🔥🔥
This kit sounds awesome! I’m REALLY glad you did a “here’s how you process Turbo to a finished drum mix” in this! 🤘🏼
Finally a walkthrough where we can actually hear the sounds RAW. For me, no RAW demo always equals no buy! And this one sounds really really good
I purchased this immediately! It’s already sounding incredible. Great job GGD
I might get it, how is it working for you?

Well, I love the P4 kit to death, but I'm definitely getting this as soon as possible ! Sounds fantastic, holy shit.
I was skeptical as someone who already has the PIV kit, but this sold me. Love the shirt, too :)
Beautiful, natural sounding kit. Thank you guys

thank u very much for this drum kit, it fits perfectly with our drummer and band
Purchased the second I seen this. I use the P4 kit exclusively, and I can’t fucking wait to play with this one and find my settings.
do u use it as a plugin for a edit by chance?

Looks like in this video he has the Virtual Mixer on the drum kit. But the VBC Rack and PRO-L2 are on the stereo out channel (whole mix)
@victorbernardo1358 you can, but Nolly does it on a separate bus and sends way more of the snare than the other kit pieces to it.
Thanks! You can see the parallel compression settings in the recent video we put out about EQing snare drums.
@@apexxx09i no longer do this, I use the Slate FG-Stress compressor directly on the drum bus and simply use the mix control to get the parallel blend
Not equally on every kitpiece, generally you send more snare in than anything else
Is Nolly getting ready to become a father? Cuz that's one dad beard if I've ever seen one.
I’m pretty sure he has a kid already
i think he already did, not to mention GGD had a bunch of dadrock drum kits if you're into it.
Plus that voice is narrator/voice actor quality made for kids bedtime stories lol
Man, the Vsauce guy really pivoted.
If I'm right about the snare notes:
Low: D
Mid: E
High: G#
The low was a bit tricky to catch. I could be wrong.
Amazing! Grabbing this ASAP. Nolly or others- does anyone have a link to the vid on parallel comp so I can dive deeper on that? Ty!! ✌️✌️✌️

Why record a live kit and drummer when you have this?
Just bought, love it! Only question so far, how can I route the "reverb" built in on the plugin to a separate external channel? It seems to be going to channels 1/2 and I can't change that.
In Kontakt, Reverb is hard set to channels 1/2. If you want that isolated, start with the rest of the kit from 3/4 onwards!
Ahhh I didn't think of that! Giving the "Reverb" channel its own routing options, like other pieces of the kit would be really nice to have in a future update!
But the routing suggestion above works.

High is fully unlocked power, Medium is limiting sample numbers aswell as round robins, Low is the features of Medium plus disabling TURBO.
By the way, what happened to the rest of the snare articulations? Some are missing compared to PIV.
