Bella, WOW...what was that like?! ABSOLUTELY LOVE Huey and the band ever since 1980 (their first album...I was 13) I'd LOVE to meet him! (its on my 'bucket list') I had, and still have some of the best times of my life listening to Huey and the News...they really need to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, is anyone else with me on this?....

Would LOVE to meet Huey, just seems like such a coo down to Earth person. Power of Love came out in 1985, I was only 13 years old, STILL TO THIS DAY 35 YEARS LATER EVERY TIME I hear that outro in the song I get goosebumps. NEVER underestimate a GREAT song OR The Power of Love.

Hearing the song and seeing the clips of Back to the Future brings back the 1980s. The memories. The feelings. The emotions. It was a great time.

Amazing. Huey Lewis & The News are such an underrated band when it comes to 80’s Pop Music. People have seem to forgot about this amazing band.

      Yes it is!
Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humour.
In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

Hilarious that Lewis is strictly speaking in a business mentality and does not sound like the typical rock pop person. This guy is really hard core a perfection type individual. I guess this is why they sounded very professional in all their concerts.

Amazing! Huey Lewis wrote The Power Of Love during a jogging with the music and the progression of Chris Hayes. After they put that song in the movie 'Back to the Future' with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. That song is a masterpièce of 1980s. The Power Of Love ( 1985) - Huey Lewis and The News.

Huey can't write for films ? Wish he at least would've mentioned "Back In Time" and why that wasn't chosen as the single (or second single). fits perfectly with the movie so they did deliver a real BTTF theme after all ("Tell me doctor, where are we going this time".. hello ?? It's the story translated to vinyl if there ever was such a thing). it's got the Benitez Remix treatment and a promo 12" so I guess it was planned for possible release
