I live about 2 miles from Huey. He's a great guy. He has coffee with the locals in Stevensville when he was in town. He even played a few songs at a local event. And best of all, I met him!!😎
Do U Believe In Love?....Heart & Soul...I Want A New Drug....The Power of Love....Back In Time...Jacobs' Ladder...If This Is It....The Heart of Rock & Roll...Bad Is Bad.....🎶And More🎶Thank You Huey Lewis & The News💥
Wonderful person Huey!!! I had the greatest pleasure seeing him and the News in Concert in New York on June 2017. I have always enjoyed his music and never will stop listening to his music.
Me too.And I AM a Pro musican, and have been recording at home and in the studio since 85'.I lost Interest when everybody ELSE started doing it,like on YT!Today,Why bother,no one's gonna hear it anyway,no one of any consequence.
Anyone who has ever seen them perform in person knows how awesome they are. Unlike other shows/acts you go to one of their shows and you don't have to worry about any fights in the crowd or lyrics condoning violence against women or advocating drug usage or assaulting Law Enforcement - you just get good music in a fun environment. Just as awesome today as they were 30+ years ago
Words of wisdom there..''It's ultimately about doing what you love to do''...I would add, Happiness comes from experiences, not from things. Don't let no one tell you otherwise..
I saw Huey Lewis and the News back in 86. They were my favorite group at the time and wanted to be just like Huey Lewis. I loved their music. The 80's were awesome!
Huey and The News were so prolific and wrote so many great songs which I've always really respected and loved. That being said, time has caught up with him (and all us too) and I think he'd benefit from a blepharotomy.
A guy I used to work with ran into Huey fly fishing in Idaho in late 90s. They were on the same stretch of river going after trout. Huey was even cool enough to take a picture together and signed my buddies vest. I saw them in Denver in about 86. There was an equipment malfunction during the show. Huey sat on the edge of the stage sharing stories and telling jokes for about 20 minutes till everything was fixed.
joseph williams I love them, too! They’re still out there doing their thing. Their music is just being overshadowed by all the no-talent hacks these days. 😏
Been a big Huey fan since the "Sports" album came out & he's always been one of my fav artists. Found out, awhile back, that he actually lives near my Aunt in Montana & she sees him on the golf course there sometimes. I was like: "What? You gotta get me his autograph, a signed golf ball, ANYTHING!" Haha.
STILL Hip to be Square - he's awesome - the group rocks - if you haven't seen them perform do so this summer! You won't regret it; what music (and entertainment) is all about - FUN!
You listen to a lot of his albums from the 80's, yeah there are those hit songs, but a lot of it is just Huey and News jamming and doing their thing. Especially in Small World, which was never a commercial hit and was severely under-rated IMO.
Love your music Huey. love your views on being a musician. You have very sound views, which as a musician myself (I'm not famous lol) I totally agree with. Oh & I like your shirt! 😊🙋
A friend of mine used to run the Ranch at Stevi that Huey owned. Saw him sit in with Joan Zen at a street dance over 10 yearsago. I saw him petting Boopsie's Bunny before the music brgan. He seemed like a nice guy...... RIP Cowboy .....
Saw him and the band on Thursday at the Westbury Theater. Got 4th row tickets for my honey's birthday. I always liked his music buy my tastes have changed. For 1 1/2 hours we sang and danced like it was the 80's. The band he talks about is great. The crowd was wild. He can still work a crowd. I told Sue after the show I did not think of floods, trailers, NY Rising, etc for the whole concert. Thanks Huey for making that happen, thanks a lot. The Let's go Mets chant was epic!!
What a refreshing change from the me me mes of the world (Amanda Bynes, anyone? Justin Biebs?). He always had a decent tune goin' on, and seemed genuinely nice. I liked him then and still do.
Huey is one of the last true great musicians from the real music era(1940s - 1990s) ...music was really good back then before all fake crap that we have now
I've always been in the death core hardcore death Rock all that stuff you want to call it whatever I like the harder stuff but as I gotten older Huey Lewis is a badass
He must be the most grounded, level-headed, normal guy in pop music. It's sort of bizarre. Aside from Bruce Springsteen, I can't think of anyone else like that.
Steadno: Yep + I think with many musicians' songs u hear them live out their lives with the outside pressures pushing against them, as they do their damnest 2 keep their scope visions in perspective on the Ys of it all now + in the end !!!/...
Huey's a good example of how musicians should be with regards to the attitude in the music business.
Man this guy has so many hits...Movies and commercials keeping all these 80s band relevant. So much respect...
He’s so honest and his description of playing music with a band is spot on.
Hes a cool guy, and more importantly, he looks happy
Huey was no dummy either...he scored a perfect 800 on his math SATs and went to Cornell...just decided he loved music more than books...lucky for us.
Stand out guy indeed, love their music

he is dead on. Huey Lewis would be an awesome dude to drink beer with
I saw them several times including the late 1980s and I was shocked and overwhelmed by how good he was and the whole band was...
He has always been so real .. love his way. Also, he was fabulous in the movie "Duets" gotta say.

Huey: "We're no saints..."
Honest man
I miss recording music. I was never a professional but playing with other musicians and recording your own stuff was fun.
Me too.And I AM a Pro musican, and have been recording at home and in the studio since 85'.I lost Interest when everybody ELSE started doing it,like on YT!Today,Why bother,no one's gonna hear it anyway,no one of any consequence.

Still love them! They were my first concert as a teen, and it was a great show.
That's how I think all the time. It's so good to hear him say that. I grew up listening to Huey Lewis and The News!
There is no other celebrity I would rather meet.....so humble....so genuine and honest....you won't find anyone like this guy or "the band" ever again
Very serious band with very good musicians. I like them.
Life is the Wave . . . . Ride On Huey !
I saw Huey Lewis and the News back in 86. They were my favorite group at the time and wanted to be just like Huey Lewis. I loved their music. The 80's were awesome!
So glad I was a teenager to enjoy the 80's music and see all these great bands live
One of if not the greatest musician of the 80s.
Huey's the MAN!!!

My all time Favorite 80's Band, saw Them Live in Tampa Sundome in 84. Stevie Ray opened. So 😎.
Roo you are an antique star! 🤩 Even though you're not old 😍

Huey is blessed with the good hair genes! Still got most of it.
Huey, you've a very good attitude
❤️ Huey. Grew up listening to the news
You listen to a lot of his albums from the 80's, yeah there are those hit songs, but a lot of it is just Huey and News jamming and doing their thing. Especially in Small World, which was never a commercial hit and was severely under-rated IMO.
We love Huey Lewis - 2018
Class act with an amazing voice. Still enjoy a few of the hits but enjoyed the karaoke movie he did in early 2000’s..
Love your music Huey. love your views on being a musician. You have very sound views, which as a musician myself (I'm not famous lol) I totally agree with. Oh & I like your shirt! 😊🙋

what a great band, awsum bunch of guys!
The "wave" is a spiritual thing- (a psychic connection with the other band members)- they're in union.
Super cool that Huey is....
I've always been in the death core hardcore death Rock all that stuff you want to call it whatever I like the harder stuff but as I gotten older Huey Lewis is a badass
Huey seems a well-grounded individual.
I agree with Huey it’s about the music
"And you just heard the news.". after each concert.
He looks cute!
Guys we are living in the end times rn
Jesus can return anytime soon. SO PLEASE TURN TO THE LORD
He's waiting and Loves you very much ✝️l
You have to ride the ups and downs.
He must be the most grounded, level-headed, normal guy in pop music. It's sort of bizarre. Aside from Bruce Springsteen, I can't think of anyone else like that.

They actually got better after the popularity left
2 cool😇😉☺
He looks like Tim McCarver these days, which is not a bad thing. They both aged well.
I've heard many say that Huey Lewis(and David Lee Roth)can't sing.To my lifelong musician ears,They're both GREAT singers.Big fan of both.
Hey Paul! Splat
😘
Gory is fleeting... 2:48 he says as much
I feel sad that Huey has no eyes
H
He has a bitter and cynical sense of humour
