Nice short video. I bought some Korean FAL mags several years ago that constantly jammed. They parkerized the inside of the mag and it caused the follower to stick. I sanded one of them thoroughly and now it works but it was a lot of work to sand the inside of a mag. lol
Yeah I imagine. I never played with a Korean mag for the FAL before. I was always hesitant to buy one hearing all the bad news surrounding them

I have hordes of FAL metric mags and most are Belgium made and some are Israeli. I have mags that I loaded back in the 80s, 90, and 2000s and have no doubt they will all run without a hitch. Over the years I have shot loaded mags then reloaded them only to be shot years later, you don't need to worry about the springs in a FAL mag.
I have had seen and heard of mag issues ever since I got into FALs. Especially from those who used these mags regularly - such as my uncle in the RLI and later 32BN. And buddies who served in the SADF in Angola
@thefalguy9848 recently acquired a Hesse built FAL and I love it, even though I shoot it as a single shot rifle, no mag 😢lol. Anyways, thanks for so much information on these rifles, and now that I’ve found your channel I’m really looking forward to you putting out more mags(hint hint😉), keep up the great work.

Question on your muzzle device, what shims did you use to get it to time properly?
I use specific JMAC shims. SKU: Shim-Face-Metric
Great vid, short and to the point. I just keep wishing someone would make new productions magazines, or even just the magazine body and baseplate. By the way, do u know if the replacement springs DSA sells are good or not?
DSA replacement springs are good to go. Well, maybe soon we'll get some new production mags...!

Sadly, I can report to you that those plastic not space-age polymer like Glock magazines are junk, but I have a Great Rifle FAL
Just got an Inch Fal, some mags last round bolt hold open some don't, cant figure out the reason or difference.
Spring tension might be a common issue. What mags are you using?
i just made the little notch on the back that pushes the pin up on the mags bigger and now they all work. Im ordering some Bren mags, hopefully they work too. Thanks for the reply. I am an AK guy, so this rifle will be a fun new thing to learn
