I made this today. It was awesome! I ate two bowls. But then i realized i forgot the garnishes! So i ate a third bowl haha. I gave the rest to my roommates and they demolished it. Im going to make another batch tomorrow. I added shallots though and added just a few small dashes of cumin. I used that same menudo mix. So good, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for this recipe. I've never made posole before because it seems complicated. This easy, simple recipe is just what I needed! Have a good day.
Thank you for this recipe. It brings me back almost 50 years when my mom had made it once. I thought even as a child it was the most wonderful meal. I remember the meat being in the pressure cooker and hearing it whistle with what seemed like hours. I remember the homony, and I remember the shredded cabbage, chilled with a wine or balsamic vinegar. I've always wanted to make this dish over the years, and now I can, an easier way! My mom would surely be smiling from above!
Wow, that Pozole Rojo take at the end has me droolin' Simply Mamá! 😋😂Kudos to you dear lady for simplifying the making of Pozole Rojo, taking the hassle out of cooking it and leaving only the pleasurable, delicious moment of eating it. Thanks for sharing, 👍and greetings👋from Querétaro for your Coreanito, chilpayates and you! 🤠
You are a mind reader! How did you know that I am craving pozole like crazy?! But, I live in northeastern Vermont now and I don't think anyone here has ever made pozole. LOL

Lol! Well, I hope you can procure the ingredients to make it for yourself. The seasoning mix I used is possibly online to purchase. It definitely is easy to use. 😊
@This Is Fifty With Lil After we moved to Colorado from S. Texas, my go-to source for great hometown flavor was @fiestaspices they have a yummy Carne Guisada (GEE sada) mix!
Hiiiii! I just purchased a large (16 Oz) bottle of this Fiesta brand menudo spice mix on Amazon for $14.00. They only had 3 bottles left. Well, 2 now that I purchased mine. 🥰
I'm glad that I watch you on UA-cam. We appreciate you for telling us about these crooks. Ooh that soup looks so good. I've heard of Pozole soup so now I can make it. Thank you so much for sharing. Anything with big chunks of meat in it is good.😋😋
Made this in instant pot, sautéed garlic, pork, and onion in olive oil first then added everything else, and 2 chipotle peppers put on 35 min, was delicious!
Hi. I love pozole and have been craving some lately, but can't eat it because I have liver cirrhosis. 😭😭 Let me share a trick/tip with you for removing the fat. Freeze a metal spoon and then run it over the pozole or menudo and it will stick to the spoon. Remove it with a paper towel and insert spoon in ice water a couple minutes and run it over the pozole again until all fat is removed. Hope you try it! 😉😉
It might take longer but anytime you refrigerate a brothy soup all the fat will go to the top and you can take it off as a solid form then. I always do this whenever I make stock.
It’s literally 102* here in central California. But today we finally got around to trying this recipe. Let me just say this was super simple and it was delicious. We got it set and going and went about our Sunday chores and errands. When we finally slowed down it was ready to eat. Amazing, simple, and delicious!
I talked with my husband about how much I was craving this soup. Thank you for sharing your recipe. I'm going to try it hopefully next week. Keep up the great content 👍
I always make it this way. I started to use the crockpot method for many soups & stews years ago and it always comes out delicious. It is more economical for a small family on the go (sports) or elderly persons. Chopping the veggies and having them ready is a good idea too. I also use both white & gold hominy in the soup when I make chicken pozole. 🥣
Thank you for giving me a place to start. I'm one of those few that cannot stand menudo but not too many family or friends make posole so it is up to me now to learn to do it.
I have made Pozole from scratch for years then I tried it in my slow cooker and it worked perfectly! It also works in the instantpot! I’ve made it on the stove too…! I make the chili sauce from scratch too.
Thanks for informing us of the FB hack, I started to see all these weird posts that had nothing to do with cooking, I have reported and blocked them, Thank God theres' UA-cam! always enjoy your videos, and I've ordered your books for myself and friends. Im from San Antonio TX, and now in Ohio. Trust me when I say they have no idea of what good Mexican food is, So I'm grateful for YOU!
I've been following you for about 9 months here on UA-cam. I've watched all your videos and love all your recipes and have learned so much about Mexican dishes and Korean dishes. I'm sorry about you losing your Facebook page. I stopped Facebook many, many years ago. Didn't like the drama. Keep posting your videos. I truly enjoy watching them. Blessings to you and your family.
Looks delicious a friend of mines Aunt who lives in Puerto Vallarta taught me how to make chicken pozole. I’m going to make your recipe I’ve never had pork pozole.
Рік тому+4
You can do this with chicken as well, cook time may be less.
This is awesome! I cant wait to try this. I am a first time crock pot user and it's because of you I bought one. One request, please do a turkey leg (turkey leg hut) recipe in the crock pot. I do not have a instapot (I dont want to blow my apt building sky high).
Great video. Thank you. Just bought a new slow cooker with ceramic insert and wanted to make my pozole in it and needed timing. I used red enchilada sauce short cut as suggested by Chef Rick Bayless years ago with success. Now I'm curious about the Fiesta Menudo spice mix and will look for that. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Cheers.
Love your recipes and over the years you've taught me so much! Kind of surprised that you didn't braise the meat first on this recipe, for more flavor and a little caramelization. ❤
My mouth is watering! The restaurant where I used to enjoy this removed it from the menu. Now I can use your recipe to make my own. Is pozole considered a soup or stew?
Angelica, I did what I could to try and report it yesterday, I did block but it just seems like Facebook could do more to assist with this kind of mess. I LOVE Pozole, great short cut! Thank you!!

Thank you, that makes a difference in my book, and I appreciate it 🙏🏼
I'm willing to try this in my son's instant pot, but I don't have any pork. Will it work with some beef chuck pieces? Maybe if I half the liquid, 2 1/2c (we have the 6 qt, I think)? I'm thinking if I use the stew setting for about the same amount of meat, 3-3 1/2 lbs? I know that I successfully made beef birria in it with just over 6 lbs of chuck roast and I added 3 1/2 c of water, + the rest of the ingredients.
So sorry about your FB. I’ve always followed you on YT & don’t use fb bc it’s a sorry medium since 2016. This poloze looks good. I’ll be making this as I do many of your recipes. Thank you Angelica. Blessings to you & family & your furry kitty 🐈⬛ family member too 😃

My dad would use a can of enchilada sauce with a bit of El Pato sauce to shortcut pozole. Works in a pinch if you can't find menudo packs!
That's a great hack! 👏🏼
Thank you so much for this recipe. I've never made posole before because it seems complicated. This easy, simple recipe is just what I needed! Have a good day.
It's so cute how when you taste what you've cooked and you hold it up to us like you're really offering us some. And I sure would grab it. 😄😄😄

My family loved it! The only thing I changed was that I added the whole menudo spice mix. Thank you for the recipe. It was delicious!
Does the menudo spice mix make it too spicy for my kids? We don’t eat hot spicy food but love pozole
Thank you so much for what you do. Can’t remember how many I’ve done and some more than once or twice. 😊 God bless.
Thank you so much I've been craving this so bad since I moved to Houston from New Mexico

That recipe looks delish Angelica. What do you recommend if l don’t want it too spicy? Should l add less of the menudo spice?
You look beautiful, thank you for all the wonderful recipes
You look pretty in that picture! I love posole btw!!!
This looks so delicious where did you buy that Menudo spice from I’ve got to buy some
Why scratch out the hill country logo? Yummy recipe
❤️ 🥰 💕 💗
*LOOKS DELICIOUS GOT ME HUNGRY! I ALSO MAKE MINE INMY CROCK POT AND, I ADD CALIFORNIA CHILIS, ALSO ADD PORK FEET AND IT GIVES IT THE BEST FLAVOR EVER!*
Mmmmm....I do love adding pork feet when I can find them. 😊
Looks delicious! A shame that happened with Facebook and hopefully they can stop it
So if it’s done and it’s a while for dinner should I just put it on low
Looks delicious. I have never hear of menudo spice mix, not sure I will be able to find. Is it spicy? Also I will have to look up what hominy is.
It's mild in spice, and you probably can order from Amazon. 😊
I love chicken pozole❤️(allergic to pork 😞)
Chicken pozole is great as well. 👍🏼
❤❤❤
More recipes using a instant pot please 😊😊
I made this in instant pot sautéed the pork with garlic and onion first then added everything else put on 35 min really good!
What can I use instead of pork shoulder?
Good afternoon I was wondering if you could tell me how many of the big cans (6lb) of hominy you would use for 40 people?
Thank reported and blocked that page
And yummm this looks so good
I like the pollo better...can I use it using the same steps?
How can I cook this in my instapot?
FB needs to do better about hackers. So many people are dealing with the same issue.
Yes! I am one of many that are dealing with this.
I love pozole. This looks amazing. Can you please tell me the difference between oregano and the Mexican oregano. Thanks for the video and so sorry about your Facebook page.
What if we use the frozen homeny ??
Looks really good! I’ll need to try this recipe. I have reported that page and blocked them. Please let us know if you get your page back and I’ll unblock.
Well that’s some bs about your Facebook account,Anjelica! I’m sorry girl. Thanks for this easier recipe ♥️
How many teaspoons or tablespoons is two ounces?
I saw the Menudo spice mix and went duuuuuh...why didn't I think of that! Well done! I reported your old page and blocked! Got your back !
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Holy cow that’s a lot of salt😮 but it looks good😊
It must be so maddening to see this Facebook page using YOUR videos.
Thanks for the reminder I reported and blocked that account I hope more fans do this to the FB account.
Thank you! 🙏🏼👍🏼
Yeah fb hasn't done anything. You think if they can fact check all the time they can easily take down a page. They are so shady.
Add a ticker to all your videos instead of talking about it. If they repost your ticker will be on all your videos.
I reported the Facebook page. Facebook told me I was spam reporting and closed the report. That was the first time I’ve ever reported a page.
I guess hackers get more support from Facebook than we do. 🤦🏻♀️ Thank you for trying. I appreciate it. 🙏🏼
I don’t eat pork. How much chicken would I use?
6:58am I don’t eat pork either, I usually make it with beef chuck roast cut in chunks. 😊
Same amount just wouldnt need to cook for as long
