That was some good shooting. You probably already figured this out but to get a 3 start each time you have to hit them in the head on the first shot. Body shots won't kill the Bucks and lower the star rating to a 2 star. I had the forged tools with me to gather the Tin (I know this because I got tin) but it said I needed another tool to harvest the hardwood. Hmmm maybe I didn't make something right. I do believe it is time for more science. LOL Great Episode
You can try the copper axe on the hardwood again. The first time I tried to harvest copper with a simple pickaxe, it said I needed a basic pickaxe...they don't exist. I logged out for the day and finished the recording the next day and, the simple pickaxe worked just fine. There's still a glitch or two I guess. I didn't know about the head shots. I noticed that you need to use the bow for a 3-star, but didn't get the connection with the head shots. Thanks!!
@@CarlaTheFobbit I never thought that it could be a glitch. Not sure why since I hit several glitches in the game. I think it told me it needed a bronze axe for the hardwood and bronze pick for the iron, which would make sense just for the progression of the items, but I was going insane trying to find a recipe for bronze tools. I had found that the headshot works for all the animals so far. Of course having a better bow also helps with the higher mobs. The first shot kills give you 3 star, second shot is 2 star. And not sure if it is a glitch but if you shoot and miss then shoot them on the run they will go to a 2 or 1 star (fear maybe?). Now for that Golem, I am not sure why you weren't getting better points for each hit on him. Once I made the better bow I was doing 50 damage each hit where you were doing 30. But that could be a beef up after the last update too because I did run across another Golem that was taking much less damage per hit, but I figured it was a higher tier mob. I severely underestimated my arrow count and decided to run after my other weapons did next to nothing on it as well. I don't know. Maybe I will do another episode this week and do some testing of all sorts and put it out maybe Friday.
@@CarlaTheFobbit I worked on one video for it and did some science but not all of it. Another video will detail that, OR maybe just a short showing what it says when I go up to the Dark Forest. OH and now it's not allowing me to make a Grindstone. We did make that from the hammer right?
@@MadmansPlayground I believe it unlocked after opening one of the temples...it's been a long time since I did the complete playthrough and TechGuy min/maxed most of the stuff so I just had the ability to do things popping up every couple of minutes. So much for enjoying the game. LOL
