I like the horde base. It will evolve as you go on so not having it up to where you like is no big deal. It worked and the way I think about it is now you can tweak it a little more then test it and tweak it again. Before long you will have the ALL POWERFUL FOBBIT HORDE BASE. LOL We talked about this on another post but the horde night in 1.0 is a crap shoot. I think they have is set up like a dice roll. When the horde night starts there is a "roll of the dice" to see what you will get. Will it be Werewolves or whatever they are called, will it be demolishers or cops. You never know. In a way I think that is kind of a cool concept but they should have a switch to change it if you like because I would rather have the progression horde nights like in the Alpha where the zombies get stronger the with your progression. But hey it all works out, well sometimes. Great episode
Idk if it still holds...when you knock a mob down, use a ranged weapon, (bow) and hit it in the face to utilize the critical hit bonus. Also, open a bird nest, take nothing from it, close that inventory panel, break the nest for bonus feathers and the content of the nest will pop into a loot bag.
Hmmm...interesting on the crit bonus, I had never heard that. It's worth a science to see if it's still a thing for sure, especially with the big guys. Thanks! As far as breaking down a nest...Busted! I'm lazy. LOL Keep the advice coming, I'm always up to learn something new.
Hi Karla, Good job surviving the Blood Moon Horde. I think you are correct in the game takes into account your progression and deaths in determining what you get. The creature that got you on the first horde night in this play-through was a Dire Wolf. Pretty nasty creature and kind of a shock you got one on your first horde night. Perhaps because you went to the desert biome. It is third in the line of biomes you would transverse through trader special quests progression. And I think the biomes have their own difficulty level, but also better rewards too. I might be wrong on that, still kind of learning as I go. :p Also, you may or may not know but there is a 7dtd v1.1 stable out now. For whatever reason, it does not update automatically or even show an update available in STEAM like my other games do. You are still on v1.0, if you go into properties and betas then you can update to the v1.1 stable.
The desert does upgrade your game stage and horde. Also, your horde stage will be adjusted to any POI tier that you use for the horde base. I just didn't expect that much of a boost for the first horde! LOL On our private game, we have seen cops by second horde and demos by third in the desert also. I just thought that was because I play with TechGuy and he's a min/maxer... I noticed that I didn't do an auto-update to 1.1 while I was recording last time. I thought that was odd since it's listed as stable, but I guess it's voluntary because of it being designated as beta? I'm not sure if I will update just yet though. I have an overhaul mod set and ready to go for another series I want to start and the modpack isn't updated for 1.1 yet. If I forget to reset my game version, I would contaminate my map on a series. I do want those stealth updates that were added though...hmmmm... Thanks for the advice and for taking the time to watch the video!!
Also...this comment was hidden away too. I checked for comments last night and first thing this morning, and it wasn't showing. I'm glad I saw it now, but I can't figure out the reason. If you brainstorm anything, let me know.
Well Done 😁I wasn't worried at all 🙄Good vid #Pro gamer 💯
Soooo funny. LOL Thanks!
