Since Pete mentioned he has the H90 - that has a compressor in it. I was also thinking of adding the two Kernom pedals to make a full midi board with my H90. I think this time you should have read the manual. Hahaha. But it was still fun to watch you fool around with the pedal.
See after the kernom ridge video I didn't think that I was going to be interested in this pedal because typically I like one petal to do one thing really well. However, this thing is awesome. One fuzz pedal to do all of the fuzz tones and then some. That's epic
comp to both the muff and the F Face - Kernom always has a spitty edge. NOT comparable at all to the smooth tones that can be gotten out of Muff and FF>
the Ridge and Moho really seem amazing. I have a CB Preamp MKII and it has all the overdrives and fuzzes I could need and it's easy to see what your saved settings are.
My ears pricked up when lee said it can go anywhere in the chain. Ive been wanting a fuzz like that. Fuzzy not fussy haha. However i think this one is close but no cigar. Not the homerun the Ridge was.
The Moho sounds consistently more chaotic than the pedals you're trying to imitate but I'd be prepared to bet you could dial out the spittiness if you took some more time to understand the unit. The problem I have with the Moho is that while we all use a range of drive pedals (so the Ridge is easy to justify) I think I probably only I only need one, maybe two, fuzz sounds.
He said "emulating" fuzz. But it's not doing that, right? If so, worthless. They are selling this as an actual analog fuzz that just has variability (like the Eons) and presets and MIDI added. The drone part is probably "emulating" a PLL fuzz. Also, the MAIN reason to get this is the MIDI and presets...otherwise just get a regular fuzz pedal. The MIDI will allow you to use something like the morningstar to store and recall 128 presets!
It looks like a block of cheese and sounds like, well? It’s interesting. I’d have to spend some time with one to decide. Also, I’d like to hear it through a gained up amp.
You cannoot beat germanium transistor based boxes. The sount of these modern boxes all sound as though they are using modern operational amplifiers which always sound a bit pants to me..............................................................
Mine came in the mail today. Not impressed. Every pedal they compared it to sounded better than the Moho. I’m going to spend a little more time with it but probably going to sell it.
I'd sell it, I'd prefer one single good fuzz circuit that I like the character of any day for me. And if I change moods, another fuzz or trade it. It's too much in one pedal 😢 and none of it is great. Good, maybe. Great, not heard it so far..
@@johnelcanrab2114I completely agree. I’m putting it up for sale now along with my Ridge overdrive. That one is better but doesn’t measure up to my Klon clone. 3 knobs is all I need. For people that want to tweak it’s good but I’d rather play my guitar. 😂
But you can't store all your presets and recall them with a Morningstar, or control every parameter with an expression pedal or MIDI device. These guys missed the most important part of the pedal...
The UAFX pedals app no longer seem to work with phones using Android 9? Can anyone suggest a workaround? It seems one can't upgrade from Android 9 to 10 on the phone? Help! I can no longer use the presets.
I had issues with my galaxy connecting to the app and after a ton of back and forth with bad customer service I figured out my issue was not having GPS on my phone before opening the app. Why they need it or don't even know it was required is messed up. I told them they should make a pc app.
This is why I stay away from anything that uses these phone apps- everyone I know who uses them at some point or another has issues and can't get their device to do what they want it to do. If I can't make it do everything it does without needing a phone- I don't want it. I had no idea UA pedals used one- that's very disappointing, I wanted the Lion badly. Do you have to use the phone app?
@@stoneysdead689 - good point, I discovered that to my cost, sadly. As the other person said, customer service ain't fantastic imo - so you pay a lot of money for..... :(
Had to check my expensive headphone monitors i thought they were broke….that tone is horrible enough for me to stop the vid at 42 seconds in and smash the thumbs down icon….you can keep that one on the shelf in the warehouse
That's no fuzz - no where in the spectrum did I hear a sweat fuzz sound - this is a distortion. If you want a real fuzz look for an old Vox Tone Bender. Add reverb and it'll sing.
We are still waiting for the Gibson nitro lacquer perfume that Pete wanted to create and now we have already arrived at Strymon's Eau de Vibe...I can't stand , too much hype !
I have an old Voodoo Lab Proctavia, which is an exact circuit reproduction of the Tycobrahe Octavia that SRV used. It sounds broken, but man can it put out some wicked fuzz/octave tones for that rare time I want such a thing. It doesn't live on my board anymore, but occasionally I'll put it in front just to hear the madness. Really cool tones from all of these in this video.
Yeah, total waste. One of the only pedals that can store presets, recall them via midi, and have every parameter controlled via MIDI or expression. Total waste - for someone dumb.

If i didn't have already 12 fuzzes, i'll buy the Moho immediatelly. But, who knows. It sounds incredible.

This is a very magical pedal! I also feel it will stack well with any other pedal so I had to purchase it and it should arrive any day now 🥂
comp to both the muff and the F Face - Kernom always has a spitty edge. NOT comparable at all to the smooth tones that can be gotten out of Muff and FF>
Pete always delivers the goods. He looks like a cross between William Nylander and Conan O'Brien.
the Ridge and Moho really seem amazing. I have a CB Preamp MKII and it has all the overdrives and fuzzes I could need and it's easy to see what your saved settings are.
I love how it sounds and how versatile it is... but I mainly want it because it looks so cool.
Like a block of cheese
By the thumbnail I thought it's another Klon LOL
Me too
nope just one of the other 5 pedals in existence
Literally says fuzz in the title
Don't judge a book by its cover. Lesson.
@@imacashew. I said thumbnail, not title. As you can see I clicked on the video anyway.
Needs some 1000 mods, Red Fang, Sword or Sleep riffs!
The 'drone' sound reminds me of the 'Wrath' function on the Fuzz God 4 from Red Witch. It is amazingly chaotic! :-)
The ultra violet by strymon au de toilette does not sound bad to be honest.
That's a righteous noise
Only thing missing is how does it react to rolling off the volume on the strat?!?!
Mood 5 is a Ring Modulator type effect 🤘🏼
Pete: I’m actually on mushrooms right now!
Anyone watching this vid: we can tell.
now analog programmable parametric EQ. someone for the love of god PLEASE x) and stereo would be nice too xD Only digital solutions exist :(
My ears pricked up when lee said it can go anywhere in the chain. Ive been wanting a fuzz like that. Fuzzy not fussy haha.

Nice improv Pete
hahaha! strymon should make that into an aftershave
Eventually, a very tweakable fuzz for those who have no love for standard fuzzes
How can it be Anderton’s 60th next year. The 50th was only a couple of years ago right?

Fuzz Face and a Muff innit, anything else is just different shades in between
I definitely don’t have an unhealthy addiction to fuzz pedals that I can’t explain
Cat D8 Yellow!
Smell your vibe ™️
The cologne commercial 😂
Please tell me the Strymon perfume commercial is a short somewhere? lol!
I would try not to make my guitar sound like that.
Would be a great product but for the fact that Fuzz is a bloody awful effect!

Hi, indeed the MOHO is an analog pedal. There's no simulation in it ! :)
Ultraviolet by Strymón LOL
I thought the Kernom Ridge can do all the kinds of Overdrive, Distortion and Fuzz? Did someone lie to me?
hey Pete, what is that box you reached for, over the amp ? @5:56
Looks like a Strymon reverb pedal
@@chuddleywindston thanks...
What kind of Muff is Pete a fan of if not a BIG one? 😂
My missus reckons it should have been orange.
Thanks for that

Strymon compadre has midi
I still think fuzz sounds like a knackered overdrive….. I’ll get my coat 😂
Too many damn options, jeezez... Just give me a JHS Berkley and call it a day.
I'm a Kernom fan, BUT...I think I can get ( almost ) every single tone in this 345€ pedal with a DOD Carcosa.
But you can't store all your presets and recall them with a Morningstar, or control every parameter with an expression pedal or MIDI device. These guys missed the most important part of the pedal...
The Moho doesn't seem to sound as good as the others by itself, but I have a feeling that it probably sits better in the mix of a live band.
There's a ton of great sounds on it, but I imagine finding the right settings could get frustrating.
#notamohofan
I’m sorry I just gotta say Captain. The pedal IMPLIES. You INFER your thoughts from the implication.
Sorry I had to do it

Cool or not...I could never put that ugly thing on my board.... 🤷♂️
It is a mucky colour ain't it. I'm with you 100
I fonot like it at all
I mean 90% of the sound is unusable by anyone so...... lol
a very unusefull pedal in my opinion, way too complicated to quickly find a few good tones. Besides at an over the top price.
That sounds horrible
Yep... that is "a" fuzz pedal...
Another sound designer pedal...
Sometimes just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Way too much noise in that Caterpillar Construction Equipment colored, overly knobby, box.

Doesn't seem like it can do Fuzz Factory
The ring mod drone sound was reminiscent of a Zvex Fuzz Factory.
It's like a DOD grunge pedal

Some folks are a little fuzzy about over drive, distortion & a torn speaker.
That's a lot of pedal board real estate for an effect I don't use much.
Love the Kernom. Aching to try out this. Glædelig bagjul!
