Don't forget The Bouncing Souls. Imagine this triple bill: Gaslight Anthem (although now it would have to be Brian Fallon, which I can unequivocally accept), The Bouncing Souls and Molly & The Zombies. Shit, could you imagine how dope that'd be?

Brian Fallon is easily the best songwriter around at the moment, another great song ;)
Don't you want a life like we saw on the picture show?
So come on, give me something, come on, keep me up all night
You say, my baby, all this time in between drives me crazy
I want a life on fire, going mad with desire
    I don't wanna survive, I want a wonderful life.

Awesome song. This is for me the first time I truly hear musical Springsteen influences in his music. Badlands vibe in the intro. And that's not a bad thing.

Brian Fallon - A Wonderful Life (Lyrics)
Most of this life's been a drag of a high
And lows like a blow in a paid thrown title fight
Most of my sins were born in a kiss on a night like this
    Calling all lonely hearts
Don't you want a life like we saw on the picture show?
So come on give me something, come on keep me up all night
You say, my baby, all this time in between drives me crazy
I want a life on fire, going mad with desire
    I don't wanna survive, I want a wonderful life
My love seems like it goes from a dream
To a crash and a roll, just shaking up everyone
Maybe there's more than the treasures we secure
That become heavy chains, to sink us in tidal waves
And all I could do is take you from the circus show
So come on give me something, come on keep me up all night
You say, my baby, all this time in between drives me crazy
I want a life on fire, going mad with desire
    I don't wanna survive, I want a wonderful life
And all my nights they always end the same (with the backtalk, backtalk)
    Coming from behind
It's just the age-old game from the living dead buzzing in my head
They keep me up all night
You say, my baby, all this time in between drives me crazy
I want a life on fire, going mad with desire
    I don't wanna survive, I want a wonderful life
(All my sins were born in a kiss on a night like this calling all lonely hearts)
    I want a wonderful life

+Kevin Jerzewski thanks for the lyrics cool you took the time,i always like to read them,i know what hes saying but speaking as a child of the 90s i didnt always know what kurt or eddie were singing.i like when i can read em. also when they are included in the sleeve of the album,im a huge fan and will buy anything this guy recordes, cant wait to see what his bandmates end up putting out there as well

I love this guys style and lyrically he is tearing modern music apart , loved him in gaslight anthem but it doesn't stop that for him he just keeps knocking out great music , it's true American roots , I'm English and I find his music is far ahead what's coming out over here

I find it to be a very interesting dichotomy - after listening to "Painkillers" multiple times, I am exactly as elated as I was depressed when I heard that GTA was taking an indefinite break (read: disbanding). I have simply never experienced such a musical uplifting before, and I believe that is the best way to articulate how I feel about Fallon's resurgence from GTA. It's simply astonishing that such a feeling can be engendered by one man, and solely through his music. I believe Fallon has truly encapsulated the sheer weight of effect that music can have on oneself, and what a thing of beauty?!?!?!?! And the best part is that you can share it with anybody who cares to listen. What a wonderful thing we've been given in this wonderful life of ours. So thank you, Brian Fallon!

+bdGongShow A alternative-rock/punk songwriter of medium fame just releases a song under a new title and you expect everyone to hear it?

    • @bdGongShow
      @bdGongShow 8 років тому +2

I don't expect everyone to hear it. It was more a comment on how garbage music is popular and that great songwriting is being beaten out by a bunch of industry slaves like One Direction who can barely sing but look good. Those guys can't even write their own songs and people think they're amazing. The music industry today is ass backwards.
