This song, and this version, was our first dance at our wedding.
love these acoustic versions, hope brian does an acoustic album one day
The Gaslight anthem released an album 2014, "The B-side". He has done some acoustic "covers" on some of their earlier songs. Try it out.
Jonas Hallenberg oh of course, have it. i was thinking more original tracks
You got your wish
He seems to be one of the very few singer and writers today that still sing with emotion. Some of his tracks you can feel the pain and raw emotion that he was feeling when he writes or performs it. Today a lot of songs seem to just be copied and pasted and you never remember them a month later. I still find myself singing his stuff. Another good one to look up is Dallas Green.
I completely agree. He sounds so much better also when its raw and not as fine tuned. So much emotion comes from his lyrics and the way he performs. Music today is usually nothing out of the ordinary, a song that seems replaceable. Brian Fallon though has such a unique sound that isn't easily copied. Dallas Green is great too! I also like Damien Rice. Butch Walker is great too- love his song "Record store."
I would die happy if I got to meet him
brilliant version... i hope he will make music forever
This man is a marvel! I love every song! Nothing more to be said!
wow...
If he had been around in the 70s he would be famous.
Dude... he is famous:D
The follow up to badlands
Totally agree with irishboy664. We need more Gaslight/Fallon songs in this tempo, personally I think 80% of their songs are better in a acustic version, like My Name is the Night for example, a mediocre album version, brilliant acoustic: ua-cam.com/video/4cNkrfO1GXc/v-deo.html
"you saaaaaay"...hahahahahahahahahahaah
Butch Walker destroyed the album:/ Should have worked with the same producer as on The Horrible Crows record!
+Funked Up Brian said many times how happy he is about collaboration with Butch. It's his album afterall...
+Funked Up How so? Aside from maybe what he did with Smoke I think the album sounds great.
These acoustic versions just feels so much more real and alive than the studio versions.
+Funked Up thanks man, glad you dig it!
+Bill Conway i like the album a lot but i prefer the tracks molly and the zombie did more
