Fell in love with Brian and TGA summer 2012 in a dive bar in Minneapolis. A few feet from the stage, these guys and Frank Turner made me fall in love with music all over again..and again..and again...
I could listen to Fallon every day. He is one of my favorite artists I stumbled across way way back in the days. Easily one of my favorite singer songwriters
This is great musician he transmits love his message is "have a wonderful life" he don't talk about guns, gunshots, drugs or sex this song help me in days hards. Thank you for existing Brian, in name of México I want to say we love you 👐
This video came out on my birthday 6 years ago, it felt like Brain was personally giving me a birthday present. 🤣 I listen to this song AT LEAST once a day, EVERY DAY.
Most of this life's been a drag of a high And lows like a blow in a paid thrown title fight Most of my sins were born in a kiss on a night like this Calling all lonely hearts Don't you want a life like we saw on the picture show? So come on, give me something and come on, keep me up all night You say, my baby, all this time in between drives me crazy I want a life on fire, going mad with desire I don't wanna survive, I want a wonderful life I want a wonderful life Modern love seems that it goes from a dream To a crash and a roll, just shaking up everyone Maybe there's more than the treasures we secure That become heavy chains, to sink us in tidal waves And all I could do is take you from the circus show So come on, give me something and come on, keep me up all night You say, my baby, all this time in between drives me crazy I want a life on fire, going mad with desire I don't wanna survive, I want a wonderful life And all my nights they always end the same (with the blacktop, blacktop) Coming from behind It's just a age-old game from the living dead buzzing in my head They keep me up all night You say, my baby, all this time in between drives me crazy I want a life on fire, going mad with desire I don't wanna survive, I want a wonderful life (All my sins were born in a kiss on a night like this calling all lonely hearts) I want a wonderful life (All my sins were born in a kiss on a night like this calling all lonely hearts) I want a wonderful life
It's interesting that this music video takes place completely in the present. Most other TGA videos allude to the past and have very nostalgic set pieces, but this is breaks away from that.
This album came out when my first daughter was born. My second daughter is due in a month, right when Sleepwalkers comes out. I had never watched this video until now, but I almost teared up with all the little kids in it. My little girl grew up with this as a lullaby and also one of her favorite songs to dance to with me. Can't wait for the next one! =)
It's wonderful hearing Brian slowly working a few TGA tracks into his live shows. I hope it's a sign of things to come. Either way, I'll love anything whether it's from TGA or Brian solo, but I sure do miss them great TGA tracks live! He did 'National Anthem' a few months back at Terminal 5, NYC; 'Boxer' last night at Crossroads in Jersey, until tonight... 'We Came to Dance' would be magical!! 2 more hrs.
Love the way he can be so diverse with all his songs, the Bruce touch with a bit of Dylan, rock n roll folky sounds, yet always individual in the way he sings, the way he writes, the way he looks, his morals and beliefs. A little shy at times (which is sooo cute!) but his confidence wins through in his musical talent and in the lyrics, and he's humble with it too. What an amazing man, I adore him! My crush is painful......need Painkillers!!! Badoom!! :-)
Makes me believe there is hope in getting good music in the future as well, thank you Brian, wish to meet you one day to thank you in Person for music you make
The building in the start of the video is Convention Hall in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The "Greetings from Asbury Park" sign on it has been there since pretty much before Bruce used it as inspiration for his "Greetings from Asbury Park" album cover. It is an iconic music venue that has hosted many amazing musicians. I think Brian used that shot because he is proud of his NJ roots.
I like your wit and clever way you had chosen the wrong arrangements not like majority ways of orginal and sounds fresh and unique yet so hip I start dancing continuously soand great lyrical work I enjoy your language dialogue orginal using your style the rhythm and instrumental spot on your runs those all in all differences like Elvis was lyrically out side the box before his time you have a "vibe" not a style your my favorite it's all freshly you've created a sound all your own boo items out there isn't and didn't have the natural quiver abd vibrational tones draw percussive tones abd yet your got a great rock yet no it's like a grudge type style you song ava soothing it up I'm pleased I'd stumbled across you my friend wild fire just buzzing hits your songs with a quickness watch
I saw Brian at a festival last summer in the same field in Asbury that's in the opening. One of the letters light was out on the 'Greetings from Asbury Park' sign and Brian mentioned that he would climb up there to fix it if it didn't get fixed within a year. Well either he or somebody else got the job done I guess.
+Andrew Grausam Sure does, but its still very much a Fallon spin song. His story telling is second to none. I don't understand how more poeple dont love this dude.
While it nods at Springsteen I think the video represents growing up in jersey as a whole. It nods at taking trips to the shore, hanging with friends, getting in the car and driving to just get away blasting music.
+Kevin Jerzewski lets face it is, Fallons music is more than a nod to the Boss, it has HUGE Springstein elements, and so doe she, even the way he holds himself and performs screams Springstein, not that its a bad thing at all, he first few GA was heavily springstein inspired too and they are tremendous
I don’t wanna survive, I want a wonderful life!
Still love this song so much in 2023. 🥰
I'm having a hard time to believe this song was released 7 years ago, feels like yesterday
Brian Fallon is the best modern day musician going.
but sadly he's too underrated
I feel the same way listening to Brian Fallon now as I did Bruce Springsteen more than 25 years ago. He's great!
BF never disappoints. Never. I hope he writes until he's 100.
I haven't been this excited for an album in such a long time.
+The Great Expectations I rarely ever feel excited by new releases these days but this has got me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait for this album!
Only 500.000 views?! This dude's voice deserves 500 Mio.

This is the most meaningful beautiful song ive ever heard in my life.

Los Angeles is a nightmare...I have nowhere else to go...

It's just a age-old game from the living dead buzzing in my head

Very charming. I wouldn't have minded if this whole video was focused on the guy dancing in front of Christmas lights. He's great.
I miss when he was my fav singer … I sadly can’t listen to him because it makes me think of my dad (he was his fav singer) and we don’t talk anymore
It's interesting that this music video takes place completely in the present. Most other TGA videos allude to the past and have very nostalgic set pieces, but this is breaks away from that.
Brian's album out at the most perfect time for me. I was going through a shitty break up. Every song is a gem!
Thank you Brian Fallon

That shot of convention hall in the beginning! I love that Brian stays true to his roots.
In one hour it'll be my birthday. The title of this song will be the best gift for and main aim of my new age... thanks brian! see you in vienna.
Nice to see music going back to being as good as it was
There are plenty of great artists. Just because you don't hear them on the radio doesn't mean they aren't around.
It truly is a wonderful life, thanks to Brian and this song
One of my favorite songwriters, great song! I'm seeing the show in Boston the day Painkillers comes out, can't wait!
Just a great song writer
such an awesome song that has changed my outlook on what i do and why i do it. i've never pushed so hard in my life after hearing this.
Just Brilliant
Love love love this album.... Brian at his best!...
It's wonderful hearing Brian slowly working a few TGA tracks into his live shows. I hope it's a sign of things to come. Brian Fallon is the fucking man. Dude can write.
I don't know why but I replay this song all the time!
Agree..! You are Amazing! TY.

Can't wait for the album and the show in Amsterdam. It's a long time ago i've been so hyped for a record.
❤2022
LOVE this song! feels a bit american slang-ish to me... which is one of the best things you can say about a song
Such a great song! Cannot wait for the new album!
Love how you show love in all it's forms :)
My first concert with my girl at Rebel in Toronto. :)
No doubt he's been blessed by the one true king!! The Most High
Fantastic music videos all around from the new album. Helps that the songs are absolutely killer as well. I have to pick up the album soon.

Little reference to Bruce at the start with the "Greetings from Asbury Park" sign
Just love it
Brilliant!
Cant wait for the album. Sounds like its going to be very Springsteen-esk (more so then recent Gaslight Anthem)
Mi mejor amigo me recomendó escucharlo y wow, me vuela la cabeza!
I'm so so ready for this record to drop
Well I haven't been familiar with The Gaslight Anthem until now but its something I'm gonna look forward to :-)
Such a nice song man, can't wait till the new album.
See you in Hamburg soon ;)
Love it!
Back Talk Back Talk coming from behind, Thanks Brian :-)
I listen to this on repeat. Help. Not really! I LOVE IT!
I love this so much I can't fathom😍🙈💙
Dude, you're awesome!
This is my first song of 2021! Good riddance, 2020 and the lows like a blow.
So apparently no one is going to point out the nice little homage to Springsteen right at the start of the video?
+Scott Sim the whole beat has a certain sprinsteen vibe to it. love it!
+Andrew Grausam i totally agree it has got the Springsteen vibe to it but im on about the start where the lights read greetings from asbury park
+Andrew Grausam Sure does, but its still very much a Fallon spin song. His story telling is second to none. I don't understand how more poeple dont love this dude.

The classic Brian
denim jacket
Pegada bem folk nesse álbum, talvez por que seja algo como punk-folk rock
back talk back talk, thanks Brian :-)
I need some painkillers from Brian.
The Intro is so similar to White Crosses from Against Me! I knew I heard it from somewhere :P or probably I'm just crazy
Esmeralda Salas I thought exactly the same!
I remember a music video with there black dude with a hat dancing in, does anybody know it?
+Nagasaki54 It's the preview
+Nagasaki54 maybe lonely boy by the black keys. so fun
Ah it was the preview, i was wondering "Holy shit wasent those clips used in another vid?"
I was the guy in the video I was casted for the promo/preview
+Calan Bryant are you serious!?
Danny!
When this was released as the debut single of Painkillers, we thought Brian had lost his edge. Oh how wrong we were.
Brian Fallon can do no wrong
Life just got better :-)
how did you create the vevo channel please tell me thanks :)
Howdy!
¿apoco no? de jose madero?
Juan R Lara a pp le gusta mucho este tipo de voz (estilo bruce springsteen, pp es fan de el).. es clara su influencia.. buen apunte saludos!
The 32 people who dislike this I hope I never meet in this life
Does remind me of the boss, very pretty song tho!
His voice reminds me of Bruce Springsteen.
Now whenever I hear this song I can't think of anything but Darrell Waltrip.
2 people don't want a wonderful life
theres 25 now, im pretty sure their life is dark as fck
He remind me david gray !!
ПОЧЕМУ ТАК МАЛО ПРОСМОТРОВ
The Daily Show brought me here.
This sounds like Springsteen more than any Gaslight Anthem song. Great song though.
Man, and I thought Gaslight Anthem could sound like Springsteen.
I was so pumped for this album until I ran into Brian in philly before his show. I asked him for a picture but he said no :/
Still wonder why his face looks bright in a weird way?
If Fallon could be the president of the USA...
