    I’m totally agreeing with the early wash program, it’s an absolute winner for someone who has been getting up at 4:00am most of their working life, and unfortunately it doesn’t stop on the weekends. The best thing about it for me is the piece and quiet ( apart from the pressure washer) and the fact that it’s all done and dusted by 7:00 am , and I’m ready for breakfast. Thanks for the early wash video Matt .

    Glad to see W9 worked for you. Sorry about the glass. We all live and learn. Make the mistake, fix it, learn from it and move on. That's the spice of life. I used W9 the same way you did but used a wash pad to agitate and did one panel at a time, rinsing before moving on. Followed up with gsf/gs quick wash to help neutralize any leftover W9 as a precautionary step. No issues.

    Most of the time I don't pre-wash but when my cars are really dirty (like last weekend), hitting them with Touchless first makes a HUGE difference. I turned into a believer. And it doesn't cost that much when you use it maybe once a month, if that.

    Pre-washing definitely makes a difference. I've seen demos with even just diluted onr sprayed on a panel and pressure washed off next to a control panel with just the rinse and the onr side was substantially cleaner. You should try a little forensic detail-esque demo to prove (or disprove) it to yourself.

    Matt have you ever used Dr. Beasley's Ceramic Body Wash? Unlike the name it does not leave ceramic protection. The name is just meant to state it is coating safe. It smells like a high end cologne, foams up nicely and very good lubricity. You may like this one more than Reset.

    I wonder whether the reason it affected the coating on the glass is simply because the "coating" may not be a completely impervious barrier - it probably fills the nooks & crannies, rather than form a an actual "layer". I doubt whether you'd be able to achieve a streak free finish if you were to lay down enough material to form a thick layer.

    IMHO, you should probably study, purchase and sell an OG Giantex non slip work platform when washing your truck. That flimsy step stool that you are using looks very unsafe when washing your raised Ford truck. Please be safe.

    Oh boy...gotta read the directions Matty.
    I do think you would see additional gains from claying the paint. When it goes that long without being washed, all that crap on the paint really clogs up the coating.
    The Ultra Clay towel from TRC is very safe and effective. Definitely much less chance of marring than a gloved hand. I prefer to use it from my bucket of ONR or Absolute at 128:1, but it can also be used from your soap bucket after washing the surface. No pressure, just lightly glide it across the surface and you won't get any marring.

    It would be cool if you tried out Koch Chemie's pre-washes, Active Foam and Super Foam. AF is 9.5 PH I believe and SFn is 12 PH. They are also concentrated like you are talking about just like GSF. I think it would be worth checking out.

    • @wd8005
      @wd8005 Рік тому

      Koch Chemie Multi Star N is even better for prewash. Multi Star N in the US is the same with Vorreiniger B in Europe. It’s the strongest alkaline prewash in the market with VDA Certification meaning it’s safe for all delicate materials of a car. Contrary to popular belief. Koch Chemie products needs to be diluted using PIR the same as Bilt Hamber! Yes I know there’s nowhere in the instructions or website of KCX that says their products needs to be diluted using PIR but all the guys over in Europe use it this way. A good example for this argument is GSF. The 20ml on the instructions is for foaming pump sprayer that’s why all the guys who tried it in the foam cannon got disappointed with the foam and need to use like more than 100ml to foam decently. Remember the pressure washer is diluting it with more water with whatever solution you have in the foam cannon. 20ml of GSF with 1L water is 1:50 or 2% PIR.

    Hey Matt, new marketing idea… You mentioned the OG logo on the truck. You need to add an OG blue or pink “*” after the logo to indicate “The Wife’s Vehicle”. You could sell them as a set or as an add-on for all those people who want to clearly delineate vehicles.
    *This warning includes, but is not limited to: food crumbs in every nook and cranny, muddy foot prints in places where shoes don’t belong, and fingerprints all over the windows at all times.

    I agree with Pre Washes Matt, they are hit and miss and it’s a extra step without much noticable benefit. Yeah if you are washing client cars day to day and they are destroyed it’s worth it, however when you washing cars once or twice a month and keeping them indoors, it’s not necessary and a waste. Also I haven’t finished the vid yet, but would Carpro Descale be worth a shot?

    Have you tried Glaco Ultra on the glass? I know Wolfs is your holy grail but I found the Glaco much easier to wipe, more durable, and more hydrophobic while only needing one coat. Unless you've got a load in the washing machine and someone taking a shower, I doubt the pumps would starve. Even if you've got some 50-year-old supply water piping, getting 4gpm input to the pumps shouldn't be a problem.
