    • @TomBombadil123
      @TomBombadil123 Рік тому +1

Not really. It just helps make people not think you are "weak", whatever that means. I don't believe this helps outside of job interviews or first impressions with important people. Why would you care what a stranger on a street or a coworker you never talk thinks about you? This has nothing to do with strength and everything to do with giving the illusion of confidence.

Antonio thanks for this, I survived a stroke at age 27 so I walk with a cane now (pretty cool huh?) and even 12 years removed I have to pay attention to my walking posture and gait almost at all times. I walk 3-5 miles everyday for exercise and as a part of my morning routine so I have tonnes of time to make micro-corrections. Over the last 12 years I think I've gotten to a point where my walking looks mostly normal albeit with a slight limp which the cane reduces a lot. Anyway, thanks for all of the content on your channel. You help guys A LOT more than you probably realize!

Antonio, the main one I have is the looking down one, especially on uneven surfaces. The reason for this is that I am half blind, and I tend to look down sometimes to ensure there's nothing that will trip me up. It's not an always thing, but happens often enough that it could be perceived as weak (from the video). Great tips overall, as I've found myself trying to do these already.

As long as you are not harming anyone , you have the right to do anything as you please.
Practice more 'shame-attacking exercises'. Take them as a game. That would greatly help.
As uncomfortable as it may sound, people with avoidant personality are too touchy-feely about their own ego. They think they are respectful about the rights of others, but underneath they are fearful that others might insult them or downgrade them. Many times, the tendency has roots in childhood tyrannical / bullying experiences.
If you read this, put your thinking here, that would make me happy.
      All the best.

There is 2 way to achieve a confident walking.
First are putting it up front (just like the video explains).
The other one is putting it hidden.
Combatants might walks differently, they dont walk their feet straight up but they dont walk on knee, so they always in a stance to never crumble and react fast whenever something happens.
They might put their dominant hand unmoving to keep check on their carry and whenever needed, they draw it fast.
Also the non-dominant hand might be in pocket just in case for secondary.
While they might put their gaze sometimes on below horizon, bottom/floor to access spatial awareness and check their surrounding just sometimes with utilizing field of vision.
Without moving your head, this is when you wanted to check without showing your surrounding that you are checking them.
Crouch or semi crouching might also be whenever they set in ready to do action, as rule of thumb the lower you are, the stable you get.
Through all of this you might dont get that "looking confident" out it public but the way you prepared to face anything that what makes you confident inside.
PS: Might also looking like criminal 😋

Good advice! With the eye contact, it is a matter of just a quick glance {and smile}, else females might find you creepy and aggressive males may think you're being confrontational. With the walking with long strides, instead of bending at the knees use your hips, which will make you look longer-legged, more physically powerful and so masculine.

Really great video, for some clarification, i have never seen a man so charming with confidence and yet he walks while looking down most of the time as in the character name Thomas Shelby from Peaky Blinders

Hey Antonio... Can you make up a video on how to enter a room full of people, how to acknowledge every one, specially they're if seeing you after some small gap in time ...all with confidence & bravado but without looking like a showoff ?
    Thanks

Also adding it with a bit of suave and a tad of arrogance...with the right mixture...you become alpha.

I personally like to walk with one hand (usually my right) in pocket, making a 70 degree angle with my elbow, this often to remind myself to keep my shoulders up and correcting my posture! With a straight back - chest up, other arm swinging in conjunctions with my steps; to prevent looking stiff. It looks bit casual/nonchalant but also "ready enough". What is your opinion about that RMRS?

Agree with everything but the pockets one. Hands in pockets is a signal that you are comfortable.
That said, if you're ex-military, not putting your hands in your pockets is also ingrained into you.
