2024 Hot Rod Power Tour Day 4! Long Drive and a Jegs Parts run!

- As the famous phrase goes, we got a long way to go, and a short time to get there. Today we are leaving Louisville Kentucky after a great day and night and headed back to Ohio, towards National Trails Raceway! Unfortunately there are a few folks in serious need of repairs so I called ahead to our friends at Jegs 11th Ave store in downtown Columbus to score the parts we needed. Now I've just got to get there in time, AND get to the venue!
2024 Hot Rod Power Tour has turned out to be truly blessed with weather and this was another day of exactly that. A touch on the hotter side than it has been but still nothing compared to previous years. With the long drive ahead of me and the late start I got this section of the Hot Rod Power Tour 2024 I'll be running the interstates the whole way to make up time.
You never know how an event like this that's a combination of rolling road block and parade will turn out in the small towns and highways, so the interstate was the best bet for me. Hopefully everyone who ran the route enjoyed themselves and everything went smoothly! One more day left in HRPT 2024, we're headed to Indy for the final day! - Авто та транспорт

It's funny how many people get super annoyed and frustrated bu that move but don't realize how much it can actually HELP the flow of traffic

I will 100% admit I'm bad about that, have multiple tickets over my lifetime to prove it. Trying to do better, maybe I need one of those newer cars that constantly ding to remind me... 😉

Austin I just want to give you a heads up man that day one video where you stopped and looked at the cars for the white Plymouth and all that was after I think it was Carter's used cars hey man I give that dude to call about that white I think it was a Ford Fairlane had the rust in the back floorboard did a little talking with the gentleman he called me back we talked a little more it's kind of looking like I might have a deal made on that little Ford you know of course problem is is I'm in Dallas Texas and he's there so you know we're trying to figure out do I want to come and pick it up or you know what it's going to cost to have it delivered here but either way that was some good info that you put out there and actually I know a couple of people that are interested in that white Plymouth and that black Plymouth that was the very first two that you looked at and I believe that they're talking to the gentleman also so I just want to give you a thumbs up and appreciate you taking the time to pass that information on man

Austin, from one fat guy to another, PLEASE PUT ON YOUR DAMN SEATBELT! Not only is it the federal law, but I've seen way too many aftermaths of people being ejected from the vehicle in a wreck.. I don't want to hear about that happening to you if you ever get in an accident.. PLEASE put your seatbelt on... even if you just run it as a lap belt and put the shoulder behind you.
You talking about your oil pressure.. don't always trust the gauge.. Recently I found out that even though our oil pressure gauge cycles every time you turn the truck off and on, it's not actually working. Our 2003 Ram 2500 HD 4X4 quad cab that was the first Ram AutoWest Dodge of Roseville Ca ever sold with a hemi said it had oil pressure.. I checked the stick... NOTHING -.- I have no clue how long I was driving it with no oil at all. Amazingly after filling it back up there's still no metal in the oil.. I don't even want to know what the inside of the filter looks like right now. So yeah, don't always trust electric gauges, they can lie to you.
If it keeps breaking tail shafts wouldn't you think that the driveshaft is massively out of balance?
I'd love to make the world's fastest LS.. stuff it full of ANFO and light it off.

23:52 oh shit thats me! The ratchet strap on the tailgate was to keep ot from rattleing which promptly didnt work. My buddy on yhe black malibu right after was actually on plan D.

I will say the one nice thing about Power Tour besides the cars is the very attractive women that walk by.

We left trails about 2:30, got to indy about 7 and then left lucas oil raceway today about 2. Saw lots of tourers on the drive home. Some assholes from new york passing my car and shaking their head because i entered and drove my 13 Cruze LTZ RS. Everyone else was as nice as they could be...but i guess if it's not a muscle car you get laughed at. Still enjoyed the tour and had a great time.
Jegs is a shit company these days. They sold out and are not the same. Summit over jegs all day everyday.
Also why did you not put the power tour sticker on the window? That's one of the best parts. Put the camera or phone down while driving. Buy a go pro if you're worried about it. And switching back and forth is a very old thing. These videos are not that serious. It's much more enjoyable if you put the camera down and just enjoy it. I've really enjoyed the videos in the past but this year it's been worse man. Don't need to repeat yourself either. We will enjoy the videos more if you just chill it down a little.
And the last point ill make is this. If you know people want to meet you and say hey...get to the event way earlier. Getting there close to closing is not the way to go. There's no reason to be getting there so late. We got to trails at 11 and had zero issue. And got to indy at noon and had zero issue. Even JYD got to Indy about 12:45 today. Not sure when you arrived but a lot of us can't wait around all day. The earlier you get to a venue the better.
As one of your viewers. I would like to call you out on referring the guy in the lot being a crack head. There was no need for that moment. That just made me question following this channel any longer. This was the guy you asked about where the dyno, hope him or members of his family didn't hear that.
