With a little care, you can grow a beautiful Douglas fir tree from seed.
1. Collect Douglas fir seeds or buy them online. Douglas fir cones can be found on the trees in the fall. To collect the seeds, simply shake the cones and the seeds will fall out.
2. Put the seeds in a paper and store them in a moisted bag in the fridge for a couple of weeks to replicate winter.
3. Take the seeds out and leave them in a shaded area for another couple of weeks.
4. Sow the sprouted seeds in a pot
5. Watch them grow
