I just put new Simmons Gen 2 skis on the older Skandic and it now turns on a dime. Wow.

A few folks in the Fairbanks snowmobile club that have 24" Expeditions but haven't seen a Skandic that size yet.
I think your right that it would be different.

I run a 2010, 2016 and 2021 skandic swt with v 800, and 900ace engines. The super wide track just give much better traction up hills and drastically improves flotation. Personally I love the super wide tracks
