3:45 $30 million in 2000's dollars, remember. people were still complaining about how paying $2 per gallon of gas was too expensive
“The rpg….how are you smoking that?”
I nearly spit out my drink xD
To think, they could've gotten away with it if they torched the boat. There would've been no way for the dude they got it from to think "hey, that was my boat" and they could've been set for life
Well, they still wouldn't have been able to sell the paintings.
@@dustinrausch5008correct, the best case scenario is their identities remain a secret at least for a few more years
Part scholar, part daredevil, that's the Chavezzslovakia i know xD
IH is Australian, they say things differently all the time so it's hard to tell what is correct and what is Australian lmao.
He’s from New Zealand
@@Dan-B So he's from baby Australia
There was a art thief from the 60s-70s that returned the paintings. Stole them for the fun.
32:34 - You can't sell stolen goods at market value. If you did, no one would buy. Stolen goods are dangerous... and you didn't pay anything for them. As a result, you have to find a buyer who is willing to accept that danger, and is not able to display the works publicly, and can't insure them or anything of the sort. That drives the prices way down. Plus the estimates are usually based off of auctions, which themselves drive prices way up. So, $30m is a completely unreasonable price.
I loved this vid of his, but somehow forgot it existed until your reaction, very noice.
I like how you nitpick the stuff or factuality of things like the venom-poison, do it myself often
My skill is I retain a lot of random facts for later citation, venom/poison is one of those. XD
This was amazing to react to, I'm glad it sounds like you enjoyed the reaction!
according to sarcastic rules on crime by another YT'er:
1: dont do crime. 2: if you do crime dont record it in any form, like that journal. 3: if youve ignored both rules then at least dont post it , brag about it, or attempt extortion.
24:00 mix it with a bunch of replicas and say its merchandise for a shop
Would this other YT'er by chance be Fact Boi? It could *allegedly* be Fact Boi, who I absolutely love.
That's definitely an idea!
And don't steal paintings because they hard as fuck to sell.
The funny thing about the Mona Lisa is that it has been stolen once and only until the security report it missing did the museum realize. The reason it's famous has to do with misinformation and click bait I guess. When it returned two years later the media had a field day with it and made it famous
The absolute Legends in security. XD
funny that you used the Mona Lisa as an example considering that it became so famous after it was stolen
There could be a poisonous snake, if it has poison in its flesh.
Weird, I woke up to the words "swedish job" and ""swordfighting" and all I can ask is, what kind of hentai is this?
Yooooo it’s here! Audio seems pretty good so far, video is just a tad quieter but It’s all good
man does this guy wanna substantiate everything?
I knew it, I knew it, I knew kip would relate to the add. How did i know?
as a person who has known several shady people in the past. typically a stolen item is only worth 50% max of its original price. granted they were talking about electronics and such. but my guess is that artwork would probably be similar.
