- Fellow Legends, welcome! Today we dive once more into another excellent Internet Historian video, specifically the re-upload of Man in Cave. The original on their channel unfortunately had to be taken down, so this gives us a perfect opportunity to give it a fresh look with the new and approved Man in Cave (Reupload) video. I apologize for any meowing in the background, the cat had unfortunately decided this time in particular was the time to scream the song of her people while I was working. You really have to commend Wendigoon for willingly going down into that cave and getting trapped again and dying again JUST for IH to do a director's cut re-upload.

Already watched the original, but I gotta say, shout-out to the absolute legends in the form of Floyd's brother, best friend, the firefighter, the reporter, and every single one of those men who worked around the clock to dig to him.
As much as I despise UA-cam's copystrike BS, for those of us who've seen both versions, there are some portions that are noticeably better. Likely due to the twin benefits of hindsight and audience feedback.
Do you remember what was the running time on the reupload? I'm looking for it and I think I found it but since I couldn't see the new one I don't know how long it was.
I'm just baffled nobody has done a reupload. Doesn't that happen for much smaller channels than this.

The reason it was taken down was because of plagiarism. Everything Internet Historian said was stolen apparently.

Internet Historian is so good. I go back and watch his videos again quite often.
I have done a little bit of spelunking back when I was a kid. Only in well documented caves and usually guided. Once, my brother and myself went through Wolf Cave in McCormick's Creek State Park Indiana without flashlights. Only about a 50 yard long cave, but we had been through it dozens of times.
The most claustraphobic cave passage I have been through was Blue Springs Caverns. It has a passage that is bearly larger than the Squeeze in this. I was in Cub Scouts and very scrawny at the time, so it was easy for me. It was a guided tour and we had our scout masters also. It was a lot of fun. Challenging yourself to do something you have never done before is a prettt big adrenaline rush, like the first time going to the range.
That's not just your average everyday darkness, it's advanced darkness.

I know i'm late to this, but I do wanna say, since he's the guy playing Floyd in the video, that if your interested at all in conspiracies, crime retellings, bizarre history, horror, or even the weird concepts and lore of Christianity, then Wendigoon is a big recommend from me. His content is on the long side of things like internet historian nowadays, but its structured more like the Fat electrician, but much more chill in tone, while still bringing in the humor. As a starting point, I do recommend his video titled: The Weird & Dirty Social Experiment - The Acali Raft, as its pretty bizarre and overall funny and informative. Cheers on the channel reaching 10k by the way! Hope it keeps getting better!

During the height of my caffeine addiction my doctor got worried because my blood was unnaturally thick. I had to add regular water in between drinks to fix it, so I most certainly wouldn't recommend hydrating yourself with coffee.

Electricity goes with 3 big measurements: Voltage (Strength of the electricity), Amperage (Current, how well it is flowing through a wire), and Resistance (How much a substance resists electric current)
The three are directly linear, with amperage equalling the voltage divided by resistance. The voltage supplied is consistent, so the change in current can only be attributed to a change in resistance that can only be caused by movement of the wire. The radio hooked up turned that into a visible change that matched up with breathing, hence Floyd being alive.
This current, however, only exists in a closed circuit. If Floyd dies and the light is still on the current will still be readable but won't change to his breathing anymore.
The lightbulb goes out, then the circuit breaks, there will be no current, and therefore no way to read breathing through current.

It's so unfortunate that the reason he had to re-upload this video was because he basically plagiarized an article for the writing. It was one of my favorite videos from him and now it's just kind of tainted.
I found it out yesterday and I honestly hate the guy now because of it. It sucks though because the video is awesome and super interesting.
