Have always hated the sound of bagpipes, literally finding them a vicious assault on my hearing! Yet, not a clue how, a couple of weeks ago I ended up watching this video. After 43 years, they've finally cracked me and I think it is an absolutely beautiful piece of music and it's now on my playlist. It's quite the stunning video.

I considered suggesting Highland Cathedral for my niece's wedding years ago but the organist, who'd played that at weddings w/ a bagpiper before said it was really difficult to get the pipes and the organ in good enough tune to compliment each other he didn't recommend it. Omg, this brought tears to my eyes . Over fifty years ago I married my ex husband we were married in a small chapel on a Marine Corps base ,but it’s the reception that I remembered the most . My great uncle William Stodddard was there in his kilt and he played the bagpipes ,this was absolutely lovely ,my mothers twin sister would go to Scotland many years and find our family tartan ,thank you for this ,absolutely stunning..
And why should you not indeed. Although an Englishmani love this piece of music and like many of my Scottish friends would like it played at my funeral. Stuart BROWN
