There is a new lore drop in the Veil Containment that, if I remember correctly, may shed a light on things whether or not The Witness may have a part in this at all or what’s going outside of the Traveler. I found it very interesting.
Totally fitting that Saladin straight up wished to fight something ancient he's read about. Nobody ever's really had the opportunity to kill a traditional dragon, and that sure would be a great thing to brag about.
Checking the Spain localization of the TWID and can confirm, there it's called "Ruina de La Señora de La Guerra" which literally translates as "Ruin of The Lady of War" or "Lady of War's Ruin". There's no specific word in Spanish for Warlord so instead Lord/Lady (Señor/Señora) and War (Guerra) are used separately.
I seem to remember the Scorn creating their own culture, believing their own gods and having their own beliefs. It was straight up told us during the season before Witch Queen, the one with the Realmwalker seal. I'd day theres a possibility the scorn are trying to do this on their own free will and the taken are steadily in their way.
Speculation but the Vex seemed to be scanning a dead Riven in the 1st mission. Then Riven seemed to be a projection with Sav's distorted voice. In the Crows opening voice lines he speaks with Mara about betrayal, the Fanatic is still around and could feel betrayed by Uldren/Crow or Crow could be in charge and making a play for Mara's throne. Rise of Iron one Female Warlord stops Siva too btw.
Hmm, while it says we're stopping the Scorn and the Taken, that doesnt guarantee that they are allies in this dungeon. Fikril and the Witness could both be gunning for the Wish Magic, and are fighting over it. We'll just be coming in as a third party.
That would be pretty neat to see in a dungeon, and I could see some fun things you could do with that. Imagine an encounter where you have a scorn boss and a taken boss fighting each other.
If the seasonal story ends with Riven somehow escaping with her eggs and allowing the wish dragons to exist again, that would be such a cool setup for a dragon hunting expansion later on.
The lore tabs for the dungeon's Exotic weapon and Equipment (Ship, Sparrow, or Ghost) will likely be crucial to learning about who the fortress belonged to and who is leading the Scorn there.
Isnt Fikrul a possible candidate? To either build an unstoppable force. Which many pointed at or more likely imo, to free the scorn all together Now the issue with that is the taken presence which strongly denies fikrul but we could never know what the team is cooking
Byf I really hope you keep the long format videos rolling because hearing your voice has the same vibes of hearing Bill Nye the Science Guy when I was a kid 🤌🤌🤌
My brother in light, it's Kriegsherrin. Regarding the first letter the pronunciation of Herrin matches the pronunciation of Hotel. Krieg (War) Krieges/Kriegs (possessive case of War) Herrin (female Master/Lord). You were really close tho!
My guess is that the castle belonged to Lord Shaxx. Not only was he a warlord before joining the city, he also has kept an Ahamkara skull nearby since D1. He also got some new voice lines for the recent festival of the lost, so this may be where we hear more about his past. The house of Kings took over the place in his absence. As for the actual dungeon, I have two ideas. 1. Fikrul the Fanatic is using the scorn to claim what Ahamkara remnants still lie hidden in the castle. It fits thematicaly. He was raised from the dead by an Ahamkara and the last time we saw him was Forsaken. However, if we fight Fikrul again, we won't kill him. We'll probably fight the Scorn version of the house of kings Kell instead. This will be bungie's way of reminding us who Fikrul and foreshadow the upcoming Heretic episode. It could also be that the Taken are being controlled by Riven like in the Last Wish raid but aren't particular about who they attack. Fikrul's plan could be to use wish magic to either return his crew back to life or recorrupt Crow/Uldren. 2. I'll admit, this idea is based on an old leak from back when Beyond Light dropped, and I hope it's not the case. The scorn and taken are being controlled by Xivu Arath. Riven alerts us that one of her eggs has appeared at the castle, and it's being used by Scorn and Taken for a ritual. Shaxx and Riven will be on comms to guide us through the castle. However, along with the egg's wish magic, us assaulting the castle completes the ritual and a portal opens up for Xivu Arath to step into our world ("You are war, and I conjure you with war and blood"). We then kill Xivu Arath for good, close the portal, and take back the egg. It will be called Warlords Ruin because we will be the ruin to the hive's Lord of War.
I kind of hope that this fortress was under the ownership of Shaxx. Would give us a good further look into his story, and even delve into the grudge between him and Felwinter.
Ngl, gheleon is my favorite hunter. He represents me as a hunter main for sure, I mainly use armor that contains bones on it or shaders that give bone like textures. Because of this i love Ahamkara, and man Gheleon just seems metal af
BYF YOU NEED TO READ THE LORE ON THE EXOTIC SHIP WE GET FROM THIS SEASON THATS ABOUT CROW AND “MARA” TALKING AT MARAS OLD THRONE IN THE REEF ITS A HUGE REVEAL.
The leaks from the Bungie staff let go says that this is a direct sequel to Shattered Throne, and is part of lifting the Dreaming City curse (which will happen, no matter what Mara said about it being impossible) and returning it to Mara's control.
I can imagine that if Xivu Arath is the one seeking Wish Magic, she might be looking for a way to undo what Eris did to her last season. Either that, or this is Fikrul's doing, though he would have less of an association with the Taken unless the Witness gave him control.
Hey Byf I know you are probably done with the Season of the witch, but I think you should speak about the Vex Bosses in the spire The Ternary Minds and their relation in creation to the Sol Progeny
My theory is that this will be the former Kell of House of Kings having stolen Scorn, Taken and at least one of Rivens Eggs now entrenched in an old keep of a Warlord that was a House of Kings base.
I think that a Fallen Warlord from the House of Kings found an Ahamkara or Ahamkara bone and dared to use the Ahamkara to gain power. But like many who bargain with an Ahamkara, their wish was a monkeys paw, and they paid the price for it with their life and are now Scorn. If it was a live Ahamkara they bargained with, then the Ahamkara could be the directing force in dungeon and we could very well be fighting that Ahamkara as the final boss. I also think this might have been the fortress of Citan.
Honestly, it would make total sense if the final boss is an ahamkara. Think about it: we are going into a medieval like castle, and the Ahamkara could represent a fire-breathing dragon.
I was thinking the same, and I think back to when Lord Saladin encountered an ahamkara and wished to fight a dragon, and it granted his wish transferring into a classic fire breathing dragon. That would be such an epic dungeon boss, however we haven't seen a new event type emerge from a dungeon before so it's unlikely.
Filrul "shouldnt" have control of the Taken, so i don't think its him. Xivu makes sense, as a means of desparation. She may see wish magic as the only thing that can restore her to her throne. Just a guess.
I think it might be nezarec since we know he's not fully dead so he could be trying to gain a body again with a wish or the lamest possibility is that the witness themself is trying to fight fire with fire and trying to use a wish to block the portal from allowing anything in since Savathun's wish was to "follow the witness" and thus be bent to make you follow it into the final shape
Isn’t there a bunch of lore surrounding the nine and ahamkara being involved on Venus to some extent. I believe this is further hinted at with the “12 territories overlap with no conflict when they ALL gather”
I wonder if the Warlords Ruin has something to do with Lord Shaxx. After all he had a few new lines in the Halloween event and he was involved in Ahamkara hunting.
I want to believe that the house of kings are still holding strong I really really do because the thought of all the kings falling to that peacock makes me sick
Something noone really talks about is how impossible of a task it is that is purging all ahamkara influence in the system. Its never really gone over how much less power an ahamkara might have in death, its only stated that wishes can be made with their remains and plenty of remains exist in our space. Shaxx, Eris, Mara Sov, our guardian: all have their bones and some use them regularly. Our guardian has probably made the most wishes considering we could interact with huggins and another ahamkara skull in the dreaming city to exchange materials and thats without considering the exotic armors that use their bones. There will always be bones and its never stated that a group of fanatical guardians couldn't simply WISH an ahamkara back to life. Think about that. Even if we did kill every one in the system we don't know where they came from and their power effects reality itself even in death so they would always be a threat. We honestly need to hear more from Eris on how she contains her "rock" with hive magic to the point that she's comfortable using it to teleport like seen in the season of the haunted glaive lore tab: Nezarec's whisper. Anyone else got any similar ideas?
Okay. Some intel on german words: Lots of terms in German are combinations of two or more single words. Kindergarten, for instance, is quite self explanatory. Kinder (children) + Garten (garden). When pronouncing Kriegsherr/in it's important to keep in mind, that this too, is the case here. Kriegsherr consists of Krieg (war) and Herr (Master), therefore implying a leading figure in armed conflict or such. The word Kriegsherrin is to be pronounced somewhat seperately from itself. Kriegs-Herrin. I hope this helps. Have a good day!
My prediction is either we secure an ahamkara egg or when we get to the final room/boss the egg hatches in front of us and we have to kill the newly hatched ahamkara
Personally given rivens immediate refusal to grant a wish I have a feeling the idea of the ahamkara granting ANY of the witnesses wishes would be entirely counterproductive. They bargain with wishes. The witness would see it that they no longer exist at all along with anything with desires. The only kind of ahamkara that would see any benefit in that is one that just spitefully wants the ceasing of existence
I actually don’t think this will be likely… but still gonna throw it out there anyways. Eramis has been missing for some time. During season of the seraph it was told that punished fallen from the house of salvation were turned into scorn. Eramis showed mercy to us during the season of defiance right before she went silent. What if she’s been punished? And what if we see her scorn form in the dungeon?
It's amusing to me that Destiny is far future, and people will find myths, legends, works of fiction and presume that events within actually took place. Which I'm sure leads to events like that of Saladin. With a whole ass "that sounds cool, I wanna fight one too" vibe. Was the Dragon wished into being a "classical" dragon? Or an Ahamkara? Because that too me is an important distinction.
It would be sick if they meshed taken, scorn-like siva infested bodies of the warlords and/or iron lords defending an egg or something to that extent like the bodies we found back in D1 ROI
Sidereal is a star and math word. It deals with the observer and rotation and such. Like relationships of elements and i think that’s the way destiny is using it when the neomuni talk of it. The flow of the river.
Sooooo, on the idea of Ahamkara remains.....Riven's body? Innnnn the first mission? Which we took a tooth from and left? Any possibilities there? I am so sold now, Warlord's Ruin is going to be the first Dungeon I intend to complete day one!
Alright, now hear me out, this is an old fallen fortress, taken over (or being assaulted by) taken and scorn. Given what we know of their commanders, most likely a big hive or shadow legion member will be in charge. But the real kicker is this, with the power of a ahamkara they could return to life one of the greatest guardian killers of all time. Taniks, Wishborn
Well if we go by warlord and german, Lorelei splendor might be the one here, considering the description : "I don't know what it means That I am so sad A legend of bygone days That I cannot keep out of my mind." -Die Lorelei, Heinrich Heine
Greetings Guardians! I don't know if anyone else has already talked about or seen it yet other than myself, but you can preview the new dungeons armor pieces when you go to the last page in the gear customization page where you'd change the armor ornament.
Wasn't there that onr mad iron lord bloke who carved ahamkara bones...? Wouldn't it be his castle? Also would provide reason for the wish dragons bones being there
Do we know for sure that Gheleon is actually dead? Something about his obsession with bone armor reminded me of something Saladin says in Rise of Iron when he talks about what happened to the Iron Lords in the replication chamber (I'm actually playing rise of iron right now for the first time so it's fresh)... (Siva) took control of our weapons and armor... If Gheleon was wearing "bone armor" could he have been immune from Siva's commandeering and somehow escaped and now has a bone to pick (pun intended) with whoever? Saladin or Efrideet for escaping the worst of the SIVA battle? Us for working with Rasputin who tried to kill the Iron Lords because of Felwinter? Someone else entirely? Also with Shaxx getting new lines in the last couple of seasons could this be his old castle unless I misunderstood the scale of things wasn't he not too far from Felwinter Peak himself?
Idea that might not work because I don't fully understand the dragons. What if one of them is somehow guiding the scorn and taken in order to free it or empower it somehow
The German pronounciation for warlord was not quite right, but good enough. The word basically consist of two words (as is really common in the language): "Krieg" (war) and "Herrin" (female version of lord). The "s" is just to make it more fluent when speaking. The first part was really good. For the second part the pronounciation of the "h" would be more prominent and not "connect" with the "s". The double "e" is more similar to the pronounciation of the "a" in amber.

The loretab for the seasonal artifact feels like an answer to Ikora asking her ghost to compile known material on the Ahamkara last season.
Gheleon is a dragon in the makin.
I mean, HE HOARDS BONES IN HIS LAIR.
He's Destiny's Fafnir basiclly
All I know is I am even more hyped. That green coming off the keep looks great.
Absolutely love your videos, your voice is so soothing to listen to when I’m falling asleep or stressed
Somehow Ahamkhara on the hunt make me think of a situation where they corner you and aggressively demand you to make wishes.
@@csaver i mean, we've had encounters where adds fight each other all the way back in vanilla D2, so it's clearly possible.
Ah you mean we fight in the Apex Legends style 😂
If the seasonal story ends with Riven somehow escaping with her eggs and allowing the wish dragons to exist again, that would be such a cool setup for a dragon hunting expansion later on.
The lore tabs for the dungeon's Exotic weapon and Equipment (Ship, Sparrow, or Ghost) will likely be crucial to learning about who the fortress belonged to and who is leading the Scorn there.
Isnt Fikrul a possible candidate?
To either build an unstoppable force. Which many pointed at
or more likely imo, to free the scorn all together
Now the issue with that is the taken presence which strongly denies fikrul but we could never know what the team is cooking
Byf I really hope you keep the long format videos rolling because hearing your voice has the same vibes of hearing Bill Nye the Science Guy when I was a kid 🤌🤌🤌
Ragnus the tyrant seems to be in control, I guess it’s a new warlord
Second option doesn't seem likely anymore. If we kill Xivu bungie wouldn't make it happen in a dungeon... right?
@@antiope-d9780Better than a seasonal boss, but you never know.
I kind of hope that this fortress was under the ownership of Shaxx. Would give us a good further look into his story, and even delve into the grudge between him and Felwinter.
The second line on the dungeon pop up page says we'll be saving part of riven's clutch so I think that is the wish magic component
This whole season feels like we are setting up the big bad after the Witness. The return of ahamakara would make for some crazy story archs.
😮 damn that is wow just :o
@@johngancarcik5682 RIGHT? Like holy shit.
Xivu wishing for Oryx to be brought back to his full power would be a fun one
would go against the Sword Logic, though.
Sepicks scorn the eyeball of riven lol I bet it’s coming back since they may want a throwback to the final mission of forsaken
I also think this might have been the fortress of Citan.
my first suspect if Xivu, assuming the witness is solely focused on what it has going on in the traveler
Gellion really is a busta, I love this guy
I’m so excited for this dungeon just for the lore.
Kelgorath really is our punching bag throughout the last few seasons. Let him rest
If the fanatic was member of the house of kings that would be interesting background 🤩
I need to know if i'm the only one that says, "greetings guardians, my name is byf here" along with the video in my best byf voice, or not.
Imagine if we went back to the dark age after the Final Shape. I think sunsetting could work if there was an exciting narrative to pave a way for it.
I honestly think The Witness would find wish magic below it so I believe it to be either Xivu or a Taken Warlord
Raz Makharin is back. And all the dungeon mechanic is built up around her bladehair weapon.
This will be the best dungeon ever!
Hear me out the bosses of the dungeon are as follows Exo Taniks then Scorn Taniks then Taken Taniks
I finally made it early also thank you for the lore content it’s very entertaining and informative have a nice day Mr Byf
Now what if those 7 Ahamkara are running around posibg as guardians? 🤔 That's a scary thought
I want to believe that the house of kings are still holding strong I really really do because the thought of all the kings falling to that peacock makes me sick
I’m not super up to date on the lore but I’m so shocked that the iron lords even came into contact with an ahamkhara
Thanks for the hard work!
Okay. Some intel on german words:
Lots of terms in German are combinations of two or more single words.
I will never not laugh at "Why in the Traveler's crack"
Wasn’t there a LMG in D1 called RUIN WAKE🤔 loved that gun!
I hope it’s shaxx related so badly. Need more shaxx stuff
What if, and it's a giant if, there's a golden age eliksni who partnered with a ghost hidden away in the castle
Wasn’t there a mission where we saw Scorn developing their own culture?
Well if we go by warlord and german, Lorelei splendor might be the one here, considering the description :
"I don't know what it means That I am so sad A legend of bygone days That I cannot keep out of my mind." -Die Lorelei, Heinrich Heine
FYI, for those that don't know. There is more Veil Containment
Either Xivu Arath, or if you want to go left field, Fikrul? or Even Riven (she was Taken after all) "As best we Know" means we do NOT know!!
how do we not know that riven set this up years ago when she made a bargin with the Taken King
Byf video, let's fuckin GOOOO!!!
I’m gonna go out on a limb and call it being Shaxx’s old castle
A dark age Destiny sounds fun!
my guess is the scorn are trying to combine the power of some bones with dark aether
Greetings Guardians!
I don't know if anyone else has already talked about or seen it yet other than myself, but you can preview the new dungeons armor pieces when you go to the last page in the gear customization page where you'd change the armor ornament.
It's called the Dark Age armor set
Are we going to just ignore the Wrathborn green thing coming out of the castle??
The German pronounciation for warlord was not quite right, but good enough.
The word basically consist of two words (as is really common in the language):
"Krieg" (war) and "Herrin" (female version of lord). The "s" is just to make it more fluent when speaking.
The first part was really good.
For the second part the pronounciation of the "h" would be more prominent and not "connect" with the "s".
The double "e" is more similar to the pronounciation of the "a" in amber.
So warlady
