This game's still early in development so doesn't even have music tracks yet, but I love the visual style and the reveal of the monster is very cool!

The cuts to realistic 3d were very cool. like peeking behind the bounds of the game to a much larger world

25:00 this is kinda silly but I LOVE the fact that the world isn’t limited to the character. There’s a diagonal hallway despite Leandro not only being able to move in four directions. Could be symbolic, but I’m to tired to think hard lol

The desk with the computer,the post its and the sounds in the background just capture my interest very easily; the design of the house and the shop were also interesting and nice to look at.

I'm kinda liking the meta elements, just like how an antagonist might override the UI or objectives, you're given that inkling that you're playing two games- an older, 90's era game... and a modern, Baldur's Gate 3 era game. it's not that ti's the modern game pretending to be the older one, but rather something nested-you're playing a game with troubled development that has somehow repackaged itself in the modern era- the game itself is somehow modernizing and shifting its files. (I actually wonder if the demo has had any file changes after you've reached the "error"). IT adds to the stylization in the same way The Silver Case does, blending mediums, but also helps give that breaching feeling that there's little between you and the forces within the game. Leandro's just a pixelated meatsuit for you to explore the game's world, but the thing that torments him seems to make the effort to look at YOU as well.
There's a lot of mystery...what is the ATRC? It seems government related, but also like CIA spookwork- they're viewing people to judge if they're connected to persons of interest, not unlike CIA officers tapping your phone lines and spying on you with drones because you're related to someone who liked a Facebook post about a POI, some sort of blind, numb, bureaucratic surveillance state that reduces people and concepts to numbers and then tries to work math on them. Something like that could be both soul crushing and guilt bringing. Will we find a file on ourselves?
The virus could be something akin to The Ring or REC, where a supernatural curse or entity is treated as if it was a virus, and thus our protagonist's experiences are a result of the virus, but could also in fact just be a virus or even something tangential. The fact the TV displayed the "test" footage could also mean the "game" didn't have stored media saved, or that the news wasn't real- but the first attempt of the demon to ply our protagonist's fears and stoke anxiety.
I do like we basically told the demon we were onto it's game, it basically said "Nuh uh, that's not what I'm doing at all" and when pressed further, it tried to save face and just left, at least in my interpretation of how that went. The item we get from the vault is interesting....as it feels like a gameplay mechanic- or the embodiment of one. Its an item that can be any item in the game, and the fact it settles on a shotgun briefly makes the game seem like a pseudo FPS shooter.
The way we get a "name" suggests we may play as more than just Leandro, and I wonder if they'll do some health management by having us deal with horror by staying in the light and managing BPM.
I wish World of Horror visually moved like this. They're certainly operating in a similar space aesthetically.

Great looking design. The parody 7-11 is called 7th Circle. Possible reference to the 7th Circle of Hell from Dante's Inferno. Souls that committed violence reside there.

It looks good but there's a lot going on and not all of it seems promising so far. The monster / fear angle seems poorly established because the first thing we see is that the couple has a good relationship and any insecurity is obviously not based in anything real. And otherwise it's just too much going on. Evil corporation clearly doing some kind of human experimentation stuff? Mysterious disease subplot? Trauma? Monster? Meta / game awareness layer? Plus income insecurity and work stuff

I'm fascinated by a lot of things in this game but I really appreciate the use of the SARS virus in 2003. Adds a layer of relatability but also makes this universe feels like its spiraling faster with the SARS and SGV viruses combined.
Beautiful graphics and the pacing is perfect. I'm excited to see this once it finishes development!

Visuals i give a 10/10. Personally i love the switches between 3D and "2D". Great potential there.
The story, writing, and plot however... needs work.
For the plot, I'd advice focusing more on a key theme, as is its loosely tied to work and "worth" but a LOT of other stuff is getting thrown in. Less is more, show don't tell etc.
For the writing, the spelling mistakes are fine, they can be fixed later, but the dialogue itself needs work. I like the overall anachronistic setting, but it verges into a bot of a jumbled mess sometimes. Perhaps get yourself a co-writer or editor if you have the scope for it?
Please dont be disheartened by these criticisms, or any others you see. You have the basis for an AMAZING project here and I'm excited to see the final result.
The sound in this game is phenomenal.

This is cool stylistically, and I really liked the realistic cutscenes, but the story and narrative is sort of cheesy and too try-hard in my opinion.
The navigation is like from the edutainment games of my day! (Like Eyewitness Children's Encyclopedia and Jumpstart Haunted Island) It feels chill and doesn't trigger my motion sickness!
That said, the slow camera turn and specific angles build up the tension.
This is an alternate universe where literally everyone is bald.

Intriguing game, love the style and the shifts in visuals. Definitely needs more on the writing front, however. A proofreader at minimum.
Like the general style, not so much the 'realistic' clips. Immensely cool to be a Black(?) gay man apparently wandering naked around strange liminal spaces, that's an unusual yet everyman protagonist with fresh perspectives to bring to the old "where's my spouse?" plot. Relatedly, I think the game needs to settle on an era (80s computers/car, 90s pager, 2000s not being arrested for Existing While Gay, 2010s SARS scares, 2020s pandemic terminology) or lean into the anachronisms to show "waking life" is actually a mash of memories, but dang is this thing cool to look at.
Yeah the timeline is a mess and i dont think its meant to hint at anything more grand -- just bad writing. No one used the word "vibe" like that in 2003 (when this is supposed to be taking place) and "social distancing" wasn't coined until Covid. Aside from that the dialogue was pretty juvenile. Shame because the game is fantastic otherwise but I would never enjoy if the writing and dialogue remain this obtuse.
SARS was also a pretty major thing in the early 2000s, but otherwise you're pretty on the ball.

Incredible art style! I followed a similar approach on my indie game I WILL BE THERE (available on Steam) but it can be considered relatively modern compared to this kind of art direction.

I could see this sort of like a five nights meets doom thing. Each night he has to solve puzzles related to a different inner demon that are the seven stages of grief over his partnner leaving. Then at the end the twist is something like they didn't actually leave they died, or he's the one that left, etc.
'Worth' is such an odd concept to apply to a human being. As though we are investments.

I really REALLY want to love this game but the "meta" bits are just killing it for me right now. Not every horror game needs meta! Sometimes it just breaks immersion to have this amazing visual style and atmosphere and writing and then suddenly the protagonist/narrator/writer/dev comes in beating you over the head with a shovel yelling "THIS ISN'T JUST A GAME! THIS IS SYMBOLIC!!! PEOPLE REALLY LIVE LIKE THIS AND I DON'T TRUST YOU TO EMPATHIZE WITHOUT BEING TOLD THAT!!!"
It's a really good game so far, I really do want to love it, it's a got a lot of good going for it, I am always down for a gay protagonist, I don't even really mind the anachronisms, and I want to see the finished product but it needs to reign itself in a little.

This game is beyond unbelievable, and not in a good way. It’s truly heartbreaking because I came in, filming for UA-cam, captivated by the extremely unique animation and graphics. As the title says, it’s very stylish. But I’ve been softlocked FOUR TIMES and all because I didn’t get the cake when I came home. Shouldnt Chris’ reminder allow you to get the cake with minor addition to the story? It should, but it doesn’t. If you do anything wrong it softlocks you, and when you boot the game back up from the very start with much frustration you are met with an ever-decreasing number of options that will softlock you too-despite being told that there is no save on the game currently. This is truly ridiculous and definitely not what I wanted this night. These kind of mistakes are, in my book, intolerable in the game development world for a game that’s already open to the public. I would not promote this game if I were you.
Hi! Sorry you're having problems playing the game, I know crashes/softlocks can be frustrating. I must point out that this is an early Alpha demo though, and is far from being a full release. Early in-development builds often have bugs that devs still have to iron out. A large reason for releasing in-dev builds is to help get feedback and find bugs. I'd recommend leaving feedback with the dev so he can fix it.

Does this game take place in America or an alternate universe? Because America didn't start to legalize gay marriage until 2004. In fact, only Belgium and Holland would've had it at this time. Canada (bagged milk) legalized in 2005. I assume it was easier to work with the same male models?
