He loved being alive. His 3rd eye opened when he was still in his 20's and he never went off the rails because of it. Pretty cool dude. His energy is still around.
To me LA Woman is the best rock song ever. The "Mr. Mojo rising" slow to fast part is a brilliant piece of music, which takes one on an emotional high.
@@sheilalindenstein8263 ....my ex girl friend loved LA Woman also. We played the song full blast. At first some neighbors complained, but before long teenage neighbors were blasting away with 'The Doors" songs such as "Love Me Two Times". The whole freaking block became 'Doors' fans.
Had the pleasure of seeing Robby at a bowling alley in Destin, FL of all places and Ray in Maui shortly before he broke on through to the other side. Legend's!
I saw horrible combat in Vietnam for a year, they flew us back and forth with commercial airplanes. I couldn't wait to get out of that nightmare. As the plane took off they played "Light my Fire" as we headed into the clouds on our way back home. That song will forever be burned into my memory! Thank you, Doors!
Robby Kreiger and Ray Manzerek are keeping the Doors alive!! I know this is old but I just need to thank Robby for keeping the vibes going! You’re the man!! Wish I could be with my kids when they see you in Sept. Cody already bought tickets for his sister and him. I love these guys!! RIP Ray and Jim!
I grew up with The Doors. It was always about Jim. I've since come to appreciate what a clever, terrific band the rest were. Absolutely devious! The proof is their enduring legacy. Still ahead of their time all these years later. The Doors were lightning in a bottle and it wouldn't have worked without all 4.. Ray, Robbie, and John were right there with it. ALL are genius in their own right. Brilliance like this will never happen again.
Couldn't have said it better. The whole was definitely greater than the sum of its parts as I've come to appreciate more and more over the years. These guys were magic together.

My pick would be The Crystal Ship not only it's a beautiful love song. Because the words are very poetic. But whatever songs The Doors wrote Jim Morrison & Robby Krieger, not doubt they were considered the greatest poets & songwriters of all-time. Especially when Jim Morrison wrote most of his songs & poetry.
“My favorite band dynamic is when one of the other members is the brains of the band and the lead singer is a nightmare but he’s the hot one so they can’t fire him.”
Would much rather hear Robbie’s version of the Doors stories than Ray. Robbie just seems like an honest, straightforward guy and doesn’t fluff the stories like Ray seems to do

Ray was an unique human being
The Doors are and will always be my No.1 Band. Love you guys.
I'd have to pick "When the musics over", its such a musical journey.
Amen!
I met a music producer that met Ray I thought it was so awesome. Such a great man, god bless Ray. Let him fly high. 😇❤️❤️❤️

LA Woman is definitely the better driving song.
I knew Ray. Loved that man! Been to his house. He called me a buncha times..
Fuck, I love how Ray tells stories.
O lot of people don’t know that that song was written by Robby Kriger, actually that song is one of the best songs of the doors catalog.
Ray the insufferable extrovert after all those years of being an introvert. Love ya man

I could listen to Ray tell all of the stories about everything.
Gimme "Love Me Two Times" or "When The Music's Over"!
Ray you are missed so much
when you hear your song in an elevator you know you made it - Robby Krieger
You ever see the interview where Jim actually predicts EDM being the future of music.

You nailed it! BOT is electric from the first note, and the message is the core of the Doors' existence.
See you on The Other Side, R-Man and J-Mo!
Wild Child... You're Lost, Little Girl
Beautiful songs indeed. It is so hard to choose only one song of the Doors.
Bizarre how you can remain so famous years later and deserve it, Imagine if the Doors had of continued
Ray was the MAN 🤘🎶 r.i.p champion. What a totally humble legend.
I could listen to these guys for hours. Krieger has that ASMR vibe.
After Ray passed on Robbie said they “ are no longer a four door we are now a coup with only 2 doors “
The Entire First album on one audio file

I simply can't choose a favorite Doors song, "Moonlight Drive" is great, "Indian Summer" was the first demo recorded in '65, another great tune.
Queen of the highway
All day and all of the night would be my favourite
Five to one--great song
Crystal Ship is awesome song--never hear it anymore
Both Ray Manzarek R.I.P from the Doors and Frank Zappa R.I.P. You listen rock stars all day. There missed from the music business.

Oh, yes! The Crystal Ship is so beautiful song!
It has the most sublime beginnings to a song, "Before you... " That is just magic. Also one of the many moments Jim sings just perfectly.
LA woman was the most modern song......it does not have a dated sound...even today.
i love these guys!
i recently heard love me two times as an instrumental when i rode an elevator lol
Feliciano’s version of Light is magical. I have loved it since I was a kid.
Too hard to pick a single doors song
Will Swagger it's like asking to choose one beatles song. it's just impossible

The End, live at the Bowl, 68’.

Why didn't they ever get a bass player.....their sound was a little thin.....that key bass did not cut it.
