- Is this my most boring video yet? I made a commitment to upload another vlog this week but nothing has really happened. I took my daughter to Bridlington with Helen for a couple of days and washed the van. That's about it!!!

I don't think it matters to much about your content. I think people watch this channel because you're both genuinely decent human beings - thats why they're here. On the diet front - I'd avoid drinking calories - Diet coke may have zero calories but it contains aspartane which is something you want to be avoiding (In moderation I suppose but if you're drinking on weekends aswell and seriously want to get in shape, sacrfices need to be made!
Thanks, I used to take my diet really seriously when I was body building, weighing food and macro tracking etc. Now I just want a happy medium. Healthy diet and training during week then weekends off!

I agree with other comments 100%. It doesnt matter what the content of the vlogs just as long as we get to see a video a couple of times a week. You two are so uplifting even when you think you seem to be a bit down. Absolutely love you two ❤

It wasn’t boring at all. Life isn’t all pub crawls in coastal towns 😂 I like to see the journey, the good and the bad, the reality of van life where sometimes there are lots of shenanigans and sometimes it’s a quiet week. I enjoy it all. You and Bet are just so very likeable 😁

Is it me, but I used those power washer car wash things in the past several times and the car is never clean afterwards. They only seem good for blasting mud off dirt bikes. Loving you for keeping it real.

We were at Bridlington at the weekend with the kids! Spent Saturday in the arcades and Sunday at Flamborough Head watching the seals. Keep on doing what you're doing mate.

Thanks Austen, I've used it in my body building days along with intermittent fasting. I do love the meals out and a few pints at the weekend though so will just diet 5-6 days a week!

James, you're not boring! I love to hear you talk about things off the top of your head. I don't mind ramble at all. I'm American and I love hearing the accent and the words and phrases you use there. That's going to be awesome when you get another van and you and Helen build it out together, can't wait to watch those videos. I had a feeling that Helen was going through some degenerative osteoarthritis, glad she's catching it early and seeking treatment. Next time tell us what your wish list is for a van, what kind, how big and things you want to put inside. If you put it out there, it will come to you....anyway, that's what they say. Take care!

Only started watching recently but loving the 2 of you. You are definitely ‘our type’ of VanLifer, loving all the pub trips 😀 van prices are insane, we bought one to covert at the beginning of lockdown before prices went mad. Unfortunately my other half was diagnosed with cancer just after but he’s doing well and managed to get back on it. You should look at the VanLife festival at Shrewsbury show grounds end May , you’d love it and loads of van ideas as well as live music and beer 👍 glad Helen is doing ok ❤

Keep an eye on that hip Helen. Just had to have a new hip and had to pay for it because of the length of the waiting list, i was in agony at the end. It was a kick in the teeth as i have been nursing over the last 20 Years and had probably done my hip in trudging those wards. Much better now thank goodness. ❤by the way I'm not that old haha😂
Sorry to hear that Teresa, my best mate had a new hip at 48 but he's stronger than ever now!

Hi mate, what about van maintenance? What is your routine for making sure the van is tip top, maybe do a video on the checks you do to the van and how often e.g. engine stuff, tyres, oil, fluids etc. cheers!

@By The Curb thats what UA-cam is good for . Most of the time if you need to look how something is done it will be on here . Take your time plan and execute. With things like power and solar , electrics etc obviously get someone in . Goodluck mate 💪 👍🏻

We found our perfect camper at brown hills Newark. We only need 73k 😅 so we bought a tent while we manifest the shit out of the universe. In the meantime hoping the poodle dunt burst the blow up bed 🤪

Their is a man in states does Static van and i like watching him but he did a video other day nearly half an hour in his van it was raining and he talked just about coffee and making it and he got thousands of views! I didn't watch that. But i like watching people like you living in their vans.

there's a place at cas that does all second hand parts like beds ovens,seating and all stuff related to caravan/campervans and supposed to be good prices might be worth a look when you do van out.

Im staying at my mum and dads caravan in Bridlington. The ship is a great stop over though, hope you get on there
I thought that was what Helen had my friend limped like her and eventually she needed hip replaced at 51.
Hope she's caught it in time but I know hip operations can be really beneficial

I’ve gone rayt overboard with solar and lithium batteries, Webasto diesel heater and other stuff. I love the van but envy you starting from scratch with a new build to your exact spec so good luck. Im getting a fiat ducato mwb to convert there wider than most vans and the underneath is stainless steel so should be less rust if your keeping a while ..
