James just take us on your journey, you and Helen are doing well , taking us on a relax walk visiting place , it's lovely for the generation who don't get out or people wanting to visit places but don't know wants out of there , I'll think I'm cracking up here but the sound of the ground surface the birds singing the hello and hey ups , just tell us of places you can go with the children , concerts , market towns , just little chats with locals and history of the towns and village , your a natural, just keep the banter going , and making odd wild camping meals from local produce , love ya both keep vlogging, 😘👏👍x

Hi James, may I suggest you combine your knowledge of antiques with the odd few hours of metal detecting, local beaches. There's quite a large community of detectorists on you tube, but not necessarily living the vanlife like yourself. I recently purchased a detector and when away in my motorhome I always make my way to the coast for a few hours detecting. May suit you, and Helen may enjoy it too. Just an idea for you mate. It's a shame i missed that
The vanlife channels that survive, are ones where the vlogger has a personality (tick), and the vlogger does stuff that is relatable (tick), and they just happen to live in a van. Focussing on living in a van exclusively would be same as someone renovating a flat, and then vlogging all the time sitting around in the lounge room. Don't pressure yourself, let it be natural, and people will keep on watching. Whatever you do.

I love seeing the wildlife around there, especially the birds. My brother when he was young did some falconry so I got real intersted in hawks and eagles. We hand raised a baby great horned owl at the house and then released him once he was trained to hunt on his own. I love gardens too like the really big botanical gardens. Here's an idea, you and Helen try to make your version of the best fish and chips, unless you really dislike cooking. Don't get yourself stressed out on making a lot of videos. I know some youtubers have mentioned that doing 3 a week was just too overwhelming. I asked UA-camr Debbie , "From She to Me", how long it took her to do a video from start to finish and she said 30 hrs., that's a lot! Loved the sculpture walk today, thank you!

We love watching your videos and think this one is great. Going to different places makes them more interesting and the filming in this is great. But hey, you were at the sculpture park! I think it would have improved the film if you talked about the sculptures that you showed: name the artist, say what you like or disliked about them. There should have been a list of works at the reception. Giving viewers this additional info would have added more interest to the video. Hope this helps as you asked for ideas. Also gives you something more to talk about. We love the ones with you and Helen in - I bet she would have had an opinion about the sculptures 😊🤔

Cheap fishing gear have a go... Camping in a tent campsite review..... Wild camping .... Just be yourself as it is working.
Camping would be good also staying in a haunted location over night.

That was an unusual but interesting place. I'm enjoying the variety of your content so far...all of it..and so variety is maybe the way to continue rather than any particular niche? I like watching videos of places that either I've been to or have seen other videos of but people like yourselves have explored locations in it less touristy that only the locals or sometimes not even a lot of locals know about. In your Grassington video you didn't dwell or even mention the fact that the last All Creatures Great and Small series was filmed there for us to "spot" the important locations in it but you took us out of the village to see so much more that tourists don't necessarily see or seek out. That may even have the effect of helping to support other local business eg the ice cream cart and village shops and pubs along your route? Guest appearances of your willing family members occasionally would be good too.
Keep doing what you are doing as because you are creative your channel will evolve and will always be fresh and enjoyable 😊

Anything you do is a nice video to watch to be honest, even these shorter ones just going for a walk somewhere nice and you chatting along is so relaxing, you could go to cannon hall for a mooch round and do a similar one to this, just showing the scenery and walk having a natter. A short video here and there won't be as time consuming either if some weeks your a bit pushed for time to edit etc. Really looking forward to seeing your channel grow and wish you all the best with it.

Oooh and dont be so critical of what your doing...You are a new channel and are doing spectacular! Literally you’ve done a few videos and look at the amount of followers you have?..you cant please everyone all of the time just some people most of the time,we all enjoy your uploads for a variety of reasons but mainly because you are real! Not portraying something then completely change once you turn the camera off.

I throughly enjoyed this video James, the sculpture park looks great, I like the idea of wandering along never knowing what the next piece of art might be, When you walked into the field with sheep in it, there was a sheep standing along side a picnic table and at first I thought it was a ruddy sculpture until it moved! HA HA! Regading your channel and the content you make, or intend to make, personally I enjoy all you put out, I don't think I could pick out a favourite genere of video as they all appeal in their own ways. Helen is definitley your secret weapon as she's so funny and likeable (not that you aren't mate, but hopefully you get the idea) I feel that you have a very dry sense of humour (like me) and you are a 'thinker' and a bit of a worrier (again like me) but Helen has no filter, she thinks it she says it, she gets on with it, and this is great, you are two different types of personalities that work so well together and indeed belong together, and this comes out so well on camera.
And finally, going back to ideas for future videos, later in the year as we approach Christmas, it would be great if you and Helen would maybe take us round some of the Yorkshire Christmas markets and into the cities to see the Christmas lights, Leeds, York, Barnsley etc and into some of the great little villages of which there are many in Yorkshire where you could try the local pub Christmas menus, anyway, just a few ideas...Bye for now and take care.

Don’t do yourself down. We come to see the van dwelling stoic, Helen (GI jane) is a lovely lass for sure but it’s a vanlife channel. That said van life isn’t all sunshine, rainbows and unicorn farts, so don’t sweat it. Every days an adventure, and some are private. Glad your respecting your kids wishes and not leveraging them for views.

I like a mix of content. Some hikes, some pub crawls, some vlogs etc. If you stuck with the same format every time it would get very boring very quickly. Variety is what keeps it interesting 😂

Hi James, Just a suggestion, video yourself doing exercises. You have to sit a lot, driving, sitting while filming and crouching all the time while you are in the back of the van. Find some time to get out the van and do some stretching. When in the van, just sit on the bed with your legs straight out and touch your toes and further. Defy the looks of the passing bye when your doing your exercises. It's for your benefit James. Take care. Terrance 🤗

Although we enjoy taking the Dog for a walk up and down our local river which is flanked by woodland or the higher woods and commons I never thought I'd be interested watching other people hiking, oops sorry Helen, I mean walking, for me its easy listening and interesting and food for thought it's not just about the walk, how many miles, where your going and where you've been, it's also the life issues, and struggles that you broach which most of us can relate to. Just one more thing, just because I've said all those positive words doesn't mean I'll be doing more walking and running up and down 199 bloody steps I'm far to old and lazy for that, but you carry on lad.
