nice, that reminds me moneta nova in Hungarian kingdom: in 1521 they started minted new denar with only 4 lot silver purity (25%) instead of usual 8 lot (50%), there were a lot of complaints and it even caused the uprising of miners in 1525-26 eventually in 1525 they started to produce old 50% denars (moneta antiqua) again
Nice! I'm planning on getting a posthumous groat too, and whilst the clarity of the portrait is nowhere near brilliant, it's still recognisable at arm's length with my good eye closed, so that's the main thing.
