Con number 2 is fair, but he isn't trying to convince people to believe in aliens, he is just explaining the beliefs of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to encourage understanding. This idea being universally accepted is not the goal. Con number 3 is inaccurate, Alien/extra terrestrial as defined in this video refers to beings whose origins are not Earth. This includes: God himself, Mortal beings from other planets, and immortal beings not from this planet. Now he goes on to say that immortal beings not from this planet include the spirits of people living on this planet so it can be said that from a Latter-day Saint point of view that even we are "extra terrestrials" in a sense, but this is because terms like "alien," "space alien," and "extra-terrestrial" don't actually exist in a unique Latter-day Saint specific context, he was simply explaining that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe in a number of things that can be described as "aliens," "space aliens," or "extra-terrestrials" by the common mainstream definition, including people from Earth. The main idea of this video is that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints believe that there are mortal beings, not too dissimilar to us, who live on other planets and that God actually, concretely exists (Takes up space, has mass, has a location) and that he is not from Earth. Therefore they believe in aliens as commonly defined. However he specifies that the religion holds no stance on if we have, are, or will ever be in contact with these beings (Aside from God). Pro number 1 is inaccurate because I am pretty sure he didn't use the term "Space travelers," so I don't know where you are getting that from. Pro number 2 and 3 are fine, but I am pretty sure he doesn't used The Book of Enoch, however I could've just missed it. His perspective can be summed up as such: "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that 1. God literality and concretely exists and that he isn't from Earth since he predates the Earth. 2. There is life on other planets though we do not know how similar or dissimilar they are to us, what technology or lack thereof they might possess, nor what resources they might have access too. and 3. The Spirits that inhabit the bodies of mankind predate the Earth and therefore are not from it. If you want to consider any of these three things as aliens and that therefor the church believes in aliens go for it. The Church doesn't claim to know everything about this subject and it is ok with that."
I mean... this is a belief based channel! It's not putting out any kind of theological ultimatum, it's just having some fun talking about beliefs and/or implications of those beliefs. What are your thoughts on the matter?
@David, do you think it is possible that the watchers in Genesis who were responsible for creating the giants were probably from another planet? It makes sense to me.
The book. The Kolob theorem. It’s a good read on where Kolob is. It talks about it being in the center of our galaxy. I don’t believe all of the book but it is a very interesting theory. It is a fun read for a member who isn’t offended by the idea of God having a Father as he is. Or that Jesus was perfect like his father who is in heaven. 👍
But isn’t one of big beliefs of Mormons that our God (the father) is one of many, and that there are other gods worshipped on other planets? Why does Book of Abraham causally say ‘the Gods’ so often? Isn’t Elohim the name of this pantheon of gods? I’m genuinely curious.

Had a question, I saw this a couple months back, some kind of version of buddhism that said god did exist but he only considered himself god because he was first in the eternal loop and calls himself a father? Who can help me clear up what I saw?
I had not heard that before. I think the definition of "God" or "god" is quite subjective. But I believe our God, our Heavenly Father does qualify as a "father" in His relationship to us, and that is beautiful.
Can you please enlighten me? In LDS beliefs, as a random example, what would happen to a super devout Buddhist monk that is mega moral and even does tons of community service etc. What happens after death to this devout monk? Will he be with Heavenly Father?
No, he will not be with Heavenly Father. Mormons believe the devout Buddist monk (no matter how good of a person) will go to a holding place called "spirit prison", and will be stuck there until a mormon on Earth does the monk's ordinance work in a mormon temple, so then the monk after waiting who knows how long in spirit prison, can decide to either accept or reject those ordinances. I feel bad for monks who lived a long time ago where mormons don't have any record, because they'll be waiting a very long time in spirit prison. lol. That is exactly what mormons believe.
In addition to what the first commenter said even if that person chooses not to accept the ordinances done on their behalf God would still reward him or her for the righteous choices they made in life . through the saving grace of Christ they would be brought into a paradise or a level of heaven. Paul in the New Testament talks about being called up to the 3rd Heaven. This place for good people who don’t accept the full gospel of Christ would be the 2nd Heaven. They would be able to be visited by Jesus Christ and angels and be in a state of happiness. However they would not be able to dwell with the Father and be blessed with all that He has
@@nerd_patriot_disciple Thanks for details So in that paradise type place, do they (good Buddhist monk type) have the opportunity to fully embrace Jesus and go to the Highest heaven with Almighty Father?
Do you think Christ had to die on all other planets as well? Or did other children of god find out about Christ through revelation and a visitation from the resurrected Christ?
As far as we know this earth is the only place where jesus has lived and died, there would be no need for ay other life or death as his atonement is already boundless
If he did, we simply don't need to know. The fact is, Christ's Atonement is central to our salvation, and we need not more information cluttering up our already hectic world unless it pertains to that same salvation. Honestly, I would not be suppressed, angary, or confused either way, so long as myself and my fellow brothers and sisters are saved if they accept the truths we do have. Cheers!
We find it easy accept the hypothesis of Heisenberg with limited knowledge of electrons property of position and momentum so why not use the same deduction for God and Jesus? My Atom/Adam God hypothesis.
Interesting video, when you said that God is a physical being unlike the rest of Christianity that believes he is a spirit as well as Jesus who is the son of god who was and is physical, we also believe that he is omnipresent as a spirit. what about the verse in John 4:24 that says, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."?
The short answer is God (the Father, as well as the Son) are both Spirit and physical. A lot of Christians (apparently) do not believe that God has any kind of physical body.
That’s right, God has both a Spirit and a body, as we do. But both His Spirit and His Body are perfect, unlike ours. Jesus teaches us to worship the Father in Spirit and in truth, but so many people approach the Bible and their religion only intellectually, rather than spiritually. This “purely intellectual” approach causes them to stumble. The Gospel is so much more than the words on the page. We’re not supposed to worship the Bible, or the specific wording of the Bible. We worship the God the Bible is teaching us about. Our religion is more than the Bible, it is the Church the Bible was based on. More than a closed canon, we have ongoing revelation. We do not live on a finite number of words and phrases, but by every word which proceeds out of the mouth of our God.
For the time dilation of 1day to 1k thousand years to occur, the math shows that Kolob has to be near a black hole, which is very interesting. The scientists will be blown away when they find out God exists in or very close to a Black Hole.
So I just watched a 9-year old lecture series on The Lady in the Temple, across Canaanite/Hebraic/Egyptian/Christian theologies, and apparently the Pleiades appear on the entrance/doorway of I think an Egyptian temple. It’s a lecture by John Dever (non-LDS archeologist) on the Ancient Temple Studies channel. Also, recently watched a different LDS apologist-ish group reference the ancient aliens episode. I think the Pleiades bit might come from beliefs about Ascended Masters…? I think. Which Ancient Aliens had probably also covered. Anyway, it seems at least some of those who follow Ascended Masters beliefs believe Moroni is also one.
@TaylorYorgason I still don’t quite know what to do with the Pleiades, but Abraham was an astronomer, so who knows what he taught the Egyptians?!? 😂 or how they applied said teachings (or built on them) 🤔 Also, the more I learn about orthodox Christian liturgy (and shared beliefs!) and Margaret Barker’s research, and others who do temple studies (more specifically focused on Solomon’s Temple/the pre-exilic religion as it might have been known by Lehi et al…), the more solid the Restoration becomes. I think I’ve watched every lecture on the Ancient Temple Studies channel, but I need more!!! You guys should have Valerie Hudson to talk about Eve or Maxine Hanks to talk about the feminine role in the early days of our church. Maxine was recently on the Come Back podcast, and Valerie presented at the Lady in the Temple series, plus she has an article by the same name as her lecture, “The Two Trees,” out there (and many other things, this is just what I’m familiar with). I feel like there are things waiting to be revealed, but we (as a whole) are not quite ready to receive them yet. So let’s get ready!
My nephew recently embraced that too. It's a very disturbing and depressing belief system in my understanding. I much rather believe the gospel of Jesus Christ.

@allieooop3923 from the view of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints about God, He created the Earth, but He Himself is uncreated. Alien and extraterrestrial has nothing to do with uncreated vs. created status. 1. If something is not of this world, it is alien or extraterrestrial by definition. 2. God is not of this world. Conclusion: God is an alien or extraterrestrial. If at any point the Latter-day Saint view of God is being Characterized as an alien, then so is the traditional one. If one rejects the notion that the Latter-day Saint view of God is an alien through some sort of "God and demons don't count" exemption, then one rejects the notion that the traditional view of God is an alien as well. Alien and extraterrestrial just means "not from earth." So unless we just arbitrarily exclude divine and demonic sources, God, Angels, Satan, and Demons are extraterrestrials/aliens in all branches of Christianity.
@@allieooop3923if God isn't from anywhere He isn't from Earth. It may be inappropriate to compare God to the fictional Diety Azathoth, the uncreated God of Lovecraft's stories who is existence itself, and isn't "from" anywhere. In the cuthulu mythos story regarding Azathoth there are 2 classes of beings 1. The one and only uncreated being Azathoth and 2. His creations. Yet, I think most people, even traditional trinitarians would be comfortable referring to the god Azathoth as an alien (in the context of the lore/stories, obviously it doesnt exist), I know I am.
@@allieooop3923 I'm not reading into this from a Latter-day Saint point of view, you are putting too much stock into the idea that I am misunderstanding due to my religious faith, I understand your framework just fine. You state "if aliens exist they are in the created category" but why is that? What if there is only one being that isn't from Earth, being God? Then the one and only Alien (The thing that isn't from Earth) is also the only uncreated being. This appears to be a problem with definitions. I am defining alien or probably more correctly Extraterrestrial as "'something' that does not originate from Earth" Whereas it appears that you are defining alien as "'something' that originates from somewhere that isn't Earth" that is a subtle difference, but it changes everything. The definition I am using, which I think is a fair and common one, can include things that don't originate at all, while yours, can't. The lore and the context of the stories Azathoth is not a created being that originates from human imagination. Just dismissing that with a "Yes, of course. Azathoth is an invention of the human imagination, so the being falls into the "created" category." is a cop out. its the equivalent of waving away a hypothetical simply because it is a hypothetical. The imagined being of Azathoth is supposed to fit the description of the Trinitarian God excluding explicitly Christian stuff (Ie. 3 persons in 1, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and actually caring about you). In a hypothetical reality where Azathoth is real, and is the unmoved mover, the first cause, etc. is it appropriate to call him an alien? I say yes, because he isn't from Earth, heck in this context he isn't from anywhere, he just is. Now neither you nor I believe in Azathoth, but there are people who do, mostly occultists who are under the false impression Lovecraft and other were prophets of some sort. They have the same created vs uncreated metaphysical distinction you do. The false "god" they erroneously worship can be described by them as "Uncreated, incompressible, almighty, that is neither made, begotten, nor created. He made both Heaven and Earth, all thing visible and invisible, through him all things that were made were made. The only living and true god, who is infinite in being and perfection, a most pure spirit, invisible, without body, parts, or passions, immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty, most wise, most free, most absolute, working all things according to the counsel of his own immutable will. He has all life, glory, goodness, blessedness, in and of himself; and is alone in and to himself all-sufficient, not standing in need of any creatures which he has made, nor deriving any glory from them. He is the alone foundation of all being, of whom, through whom, and to whom, are all things; and has most sovereign dominion over them, to do by them, for them, or upon them, whatsoever he himself pleases." We both know Azathoth is a fictional being, but the idea of it, however erroneous, is similar enough to the idea of the trinitarian God on this topic to make this comparison.
I always joke around with my family, saying I think we are like the red headed step child of all the earths. god probably tells other planets to avoid us at all costs. and all you have to do spend 5 minutes on youtube or internet for that matter to prove that right. LOL!!!
God has influenced my mind through the spirit. I have had a strong relationship with God since I was 4 years old. I see it this way, Heavenly Father keeps creating spiritual offspring because creating is apart of eternity! Creating 🌎 world's without end ✨️ keeps it going! I believe this is why we can have children here on earth 🌎 it helps us learn and grow as people being parents like our Heavenly Father! And it keeps eternity going that we can one day die and be resurrected and have perfected bodies of flesh and bone! As far as aliens go, 👽 l don't believe they would have any purpose for Heavenly Father's plan of salvation. 💜🙏🏻✨️🌸🌷🌸👽
if the New Testament is true, God is the foundation of the universe not a 6 footish tall guy who lives in it off in the distance somewhere. “ He is actually not far from each one of us, for 'In him we live and move and have our being “ ( acts 17) In the New Testament all things visible and invisible are from God and by God and all things hold together in Him. Colossians 1 and acts 17 talk about this. God manifested himself perfectly in Jesus but God isn’t our species, God emptied himself to become man. (See Philippians 2) I like Latter Day Saints and see them as fellow Christians but this part of their doctrine is really off. They think too low of God in an effort to think higher of man. Understanding God as described in the New Testament will change how you view God and solidify your faith in Him. It will put you in immediate awe at his greatness and majesty. That doctrine aside, Latter-day Saints in general are awesome followers of Jesus and I appreciate them. Thanks for this channel.

Hahaha!!! I loved the exit.
I like that you left Bigfoot and aliens to post in October 👻🎃
There are LDS church members who claim the Star Trek TNG TV series had many LDS references. That was especially true in the episodes involving Q.
@David, do you think it is possible that the watchers in Genesis who were responsible for creating the giants were probably from another planet? It makes sense to me.
So when does the mothership arrive?
it came last month...you weren't invited? Ohhhhh you're in trouble 😜
I’m genuinely curious.
is Jesus Married?. JUST ADMIT IT HE IS HE HAS TO BE.
Exaltation requires that a man and a woman be sealed for time and eternity. So yeah, I would assume that Jesus is married because He's an exalted Being.
So can we start talking about that and Mary Magdalene?@@Calvin_Barnes
@@xirtus I have yet to see convincing evidence that He married Mary Magdalene specifically. I won't deny the possibility, but I don't see how we can confidently say one way or another.
yeah well militant paulines sects of literal cannibals made that hard. but if you can come up with a better alternative I'm all ears. I can see why you wouldn't believe people that the apostate church called heretics, then again I would see why one would.. @@Calvin_Barnes
Honestly, a super intelligent alien god makes a million times more sense than what the Nicene Creed describes
Can’t really call somebody an alien as they dwell within their own creation.
Hope the other worlds just like us, came up with an entertainment console like playstation and xbox. 🤩
However they would not be able to dwell with the Father and be blessed with all that He has
@@nerd_patriot_disciple
Thanks for details
So in that paradise type place, do they (good Buddhist monk type) have the opportunity to fully embrace Jesus and go to the Highest heaven with Almighty Father?
Moment of awakening for many... wake up 🤣
Do you think Christ had to die on all other planets as well? Or did other children of god find out about Christ through revelation and a visitation from the resurrected Christ?
As far as we know this earth is the only place where jesus has lived and died, there would be no need for ay other life or death as his atonement is already boundless
If he did, we simply don't need to know. The fact is, Christ's Atonement is central to our salvation, and we need not more information cluttering up our already hectic world unless it pertains to that same salvation. Honestly, I would not be suppressed, angary, or confused either way, so long as myself and my fellow brothers and sisters are saved if they accept the truths we do have. Cheers!
COOOOOOL!!!
Do Saints believe in Aliens? SU: Well, it's not the weird way you're thinking, but yes... And it's a little weird. "You'd be surprised."
We find it easy accept the hypothesis of Heisenberg with limited knowledge of electrons property of position and momentum so why not use the same deduction for God and Jesus? My Atom/Adam God hypothesis.
Not prepared for the intro to go so hard
😂 we should have issued a warning
Interesting video, when you said that God is a physical being unlike the rest of Christianity that believes he is a spirit as well as Jesus who is the son of god who was and is physical, we also believe that he is omnipresent as a spirit. what about the verse in John 4:24 that says, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."?
The short answer is God (the Father, as well as the Son) are both Spirit and physical. A lot of Christians (apparently) do not believe that God has any kind of physical body.
okay, thanks for the clarification I appreciate it!@@joshuafusselman3323
Great question! This video might help: ua-cam.com/video/m2dMhnPqum8/v-deo.htmlsi=tCCS_Ge1D_Lu2MFF
Anything not from our world is alien by definition and as God is not from our world he is an alien. However, that does not mean God doesn't look human
You guys just opened the Pandora’s box of latter-day theory, good luck in the comments
Thank you, we will take all the luck that is granted to us! 😅
I can see how people would be confused. 😂
I’m sorry did History channel just call Moroni, “Moronee”?
For the time dilation of 1day to 1k thousand years to occur, the math shows that Kolob has to be near a black hole, which is very interesting. The scientists will be blown away when they find out God exists in or very close to a Black Hole.
That doesn't necessarily mean that
Big foot and aliens? You spoil us
Happy Halloween, my friend!
Why are you so hung up on language and words?
Haha! Awesome
👍👍👍
👍👍👍
Why isn't anyone talking about the PLEIDES STAR CLUSTER?? What the h? 😂
@@gingersnaps215Wow, this goes way deeper than I expected. Haha
@TaylorYorgason
I still don’t quite know what to do with the Pleiades, but Abraham was an astronomer, so who knows what he taught the Egyptians?!? 😂 or how they applied said teachings (or built on them) 🤔
Also, the more I learn about orthodox Christian liturgy (and shared beliefs!) and Margaret Barker’s research, and others who do temple studies (more specifically focused on Solomon’s Temple/the pre-exilic religion as it might have been known by Lehi et al…), the more solid the Restoration becomes.
My friend believes we were created by anuminaki an ancient alien race who made us as a worker class or as slaves to to do their bidding
My nephew recently embraced that too. It's a very disturbing and depressing belief system in my understanding. I much rather believe the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I would just like to say that perhaps the word is confused with Enoch Enoki😮
@@charlemagnetheFranks I TRIED to look for truth in it, and maybe there are a few little things, but the all over message of slavery and not God's beloved children is DEPRESSING and evil. And biting the "parts" off of the rival brother. I rebuke that!🤣
@tiffanyseavy565 🤷♂️remember the truth is corrupted by our own demons, lo! the human race👹💀
Be careful, some are fallen angels!
Atheists:noted
If only LDS leaders were as confident in their rhetoric about what ‘Latter-day Saints believe’ as David seems to be. They are happy in a land of obfuscation and double binds.
No he is not
So God didn't create Earth?
So, you are an alien.
We will neither confirm nor deny
I think it is still possible for the other worlds in the scriptures to be not inhabited by spirit children. I think it's implied but not 100% explicit
if the New Testament is true, God is the foundation of the universe not a 6 footish tall guy who lives in it off in the distance somewhere. “ He is actually not far from each one of us, for 'In him we live and move and have our being “ ( acts 17)
In the New Testament all things visible and invisible are from God and by God and all things hold together in Him. Colossians 1 and acts 17 talk about this. God manifested himself perfectly in Jesus but God isn’t our species, God emptied himself to become man. (See Philippians 2)
I like Latter Day Saints and see them as fellow Christians but this part of their doctrine is really off.
