Great video like always, Craig! Perfect timing for me as well since I just bought my very first vita this week. I love it so far, but I have been searching youtube for pretty up to date game recommendations so this timing was incredible! 😄👌
It's interesting to see how your tastes have changed from when you did your previous Vita collection video back in 2014 compared to now. Another great video!
That is one interesting thing about these kinds of videos: We (including me!) can see those changes in taste over time. It sometimes surprises even me!
I remember feeling compelled to buy a Vita around the time the Wii U was winding down. Just wanted something handheld with a crispy screen to play indie games. Then the Switch got announced. Wouldn't mind a handheld way to play the Jak games, still...
@@oliverandm This was back when I was against emulating, and I still don't emulate modern indie games (those I would actually like to spend money on). When it comes to Retro stuff...yeah, I'm coming around to it.
FINALLY someone who agrees with me on Sly 1 being the best out of the three. I feel like a lot of sequels try so hard to be bigger and 'better' that they end up feeling way less focused and they suffer as a result. There's a lot to love about both Sly 2 and 3, but they both went on for WAY longer than they had to. Sly 1 is so tight and replayable. Great collection, always love seeing people talk about vita games.
Hey man you're not the only one. I love the Sly games and Sly cooper was my favorite childhood video game. That said I put Sly 1 on top cause like you said, something about it is just so easily repayable. Sly 1 has to be my most played ps2 game back when I was kid. Even to this day I will come back to Sly 1 to reply time and time again. Funnily enough while I do have childhood memories with the original 3 sly games, I don't think I ever actually beaten Sly 2. Which I should get around to doing... probably on the vita. Man I remember when this system was still new and the main thing that sold me (and one of the main things I love about it) is being able to play all the sly games in a portable fashion. I always thought how nice it would be to be able to play sly on my psp at the time so when I got wind of these games being available portably on sony's next handheld, it was like a dream come true. edit: also sly 1 and 2 are on the cartridge if I remember correctly and only 3 is the download code. That said (if you can get through some hoops), you should be able to purchase sly 3 digitally.
Always like to hear what you have to say about each game. I find these videos relaxing, for some reason. Minna no Golf 6 is pretty good on the Vita. Also Taiko no Tatsujin V-Version is great as always. They are dirt cheap now. Check ‘em out!
I'm a PS Vita collector and i own Dragon Quest Builders english version it was sold as Hong Kong english version and cost 42.99$ in Playasia. I can confirm there is no Western release.
Awesome collection. I had a vita in 2013 and sold it and uncharted for $60. I could kick my own @$$ for that. I got another vita for Christmas like 3 years ago and just now deciding to really expand my collection. Nice to see a video that has a pretty expansive library.
Nice collection! I remember getting a light blue slim as a graduation gift in 2014. Still have it and collect certain games when I can find them. I do regret selling Golden.
Totally forgot about Proteus! I used to play that late at night back in the day. Had no idea it had a physical release. Some very interesting stuff on Vita. Never really payed attention to it, myself.
Fantastic update on the collection. Very similar situation to me. At my peak I had around 200 Vita games or so. I've since 'trimmed the fat' as you put it. Now I'm down to 20. A weight off for sure. And lets me keep the stuff I'm actually into.
great video . Thank U For Keeping it real bro don't apologize For not liking Ys .💯 I Appreciate u being honest bro . ! don't be like the rest of dese guys praising the games they know they didn't play r enjoyed
Vita was too good. A shame that Sony didn't support it very well and seemed eager to ditch it as soon as they could. The games are getting expensive fast! Also yes, to answer your question Tales of Hearts R was GameStop exclusive.
lol it’s not really a popular opinion amongst those that have even played Ys. I just can’t shake the feeling every new entry feels at least 10 years old by the time it comes out.
I couldn't click on the video quick enough. Great video and I kind of agree with your thoughts on Uncharted. Some of the characters were annoying as hell. Thanks
Great content! I dont have a vita unfortunately but i love watching contents about them, i think your collection are great i would enjoy playing then if i have a vita. . . . Giveaway one pls...hahha just kidding 😋
Yeah I'm a big uncharted fan and I don't like golden abyss either. Annoying characters, touch controls that didn't add anything, etc. But it wasn't developed by naughty dog
It was developed by the same guys that made Syphon Filter and Days Gone. I’ve had Golden Abyss for a long time now, but haven’t gotten around to it. Personally, I’m stoked to play it
Craig.....your Ys take breaks my heart....have you played any others aside from Celceta? I also recommend giving Trails another go, but maybe start with Trails in the Sky on steam instead
Oh yeah, I’ve played a bunch of Ys. Not all of them, but enough for sure. Trails is ok, but I don’t think it’s the sort of RPG I’m interested in digging into currently.
i really need to nab a PSP vita just to play PS2 games that require dual analog controls as right now im playing on my PSP and playing ratchet and clank size matters
My brother, I anticipated this very question and explained more than once that I personally didn’t like it all that much. I welcome differing opinions, and clarifications about my own opinions, but you gotta at least watch the video first, please 🙏🏻
@@tvandlust Sorry, could have worded it a bit better, meant to ask just what about it just to discuss a little more, I know you mentioned it at the start and the end, I know it's not a perfect game by any means (very much in agreement with the QTE's and, for me anyway, the tilting to regain balance absolutly sucked), to me it was the definitive vita game purely because it was a handheld interpretation of a console quite a lot like the God of War PSP games (another reason I picked up a vita, to emulate psp games and some ps1 games I either missed out on or just wanted to replay), an exclusive rather than a port or original game concept like Tearaway. Didn't mean anything by it man.
@@samuelcollinsmonstermovies6637 Fair enough, no worries! I don’t know how to better explain my viewpoint beyond what I said in the video. I think some of the moment to moment gameplay is very well made. I don’t think it’s a BAD game, just one that feels like a developer that isn’t Naughty Dog doing their best impression of an Uncharted game, which is exactly what it is. Just feels a little off to me.

Vita is a good purchase. I bought mine a year ago and still playing and discovering new games.
Glad I could help!
Great vid, love the vita!
vita loves u too 😅 GOAT HANDHELD 🐐

Lots of PC handhelds with options for emulation :)

A PlayStation handheld marketed solely for revisiting Sony’s back catalog would be successful I think.

I did have Everybody’s Golf at one point! It was fine, but ultimately not for me. Not much of a sports guy, even in video games lol

Jak 1 plays fine on vita but jak 2 & 3 are borderline unplayable, easily worst versions of the games
You look like cimooo
Mine is small. I have Vita TV And a sealed Shovel Knight, and an opened Muramasa. All I needed from Vita. Kind of a poopoo system.
Doesn’t sound like you’ve played any Vita games at all. There are so many titles and not even mentioning PS1/PSP titles
I really need to start buying games. I have a huge wishlist of like a page 😂
