I had no idea ragdoll cats could get that big!! I thought my cat was big at 13lbs (which is a healthy weight for him according to his vet). He's also more noisy like Teemo! He's an orange tabby so maybe it is just a male cat thing 😂 I could watch your kitties play together all day. They're so cute!

A long time ago when I was 15, I found a male tabby kitten and took him in. He was alot of fun, and like me picking him up and nursing him like a baby. He lasted 17 years.

If you are trying to introduce your cat to raw meat, You can start with chicken thigh. Give your boy a few at meal time. Mix it in with his dry food. And see if he eats it. If he does you can gradually increase the portions. Hope that helps!
I have a beautiful cream colored, blue eyed, petite (about 8 lb) female rag doll. She is now 15 years old, got her when she was 8 weeks old. She sleeps most of the day away but has bursts of energy, that reminds me of when she was a kitten, in the evening and early mornings. She is in perfect health and was only to the vet once and that was when she was spayed. She has never been outside of my apt ever so maybe that's why she is so healthy. Every day I marvel at how the universe created this precious, beautiful little fur ball creature and brought her into my life. Anyway, she is the love of my life and she owns me ... lol! 😻
I have a male ragdoll, he's super affectionate, love kisses but also a ball of energy. I think he sleep less than 10 hours a day most of the day he's attached to me or nagging me to play fetch lol I think the quiet and reserve traits in female cats are purely their mother instinct kicking in

I wonder if it is just my computer, my eyes, the lighting, the camera you use, or Arya is just naturally darker than Teemo in terms of coat colouring but to me, Arya really does look a red bicolour ragdoll as she grows older rather than a cream bicolour. Regardless, your cats are both absolutely adorable and just so incredibly beautiful and I do love seeing them, especially when they fight! I find it so funny! :) Ragdolls are my number 1 favourite cat breed and I hope to get a ragdoll (or two) of my own one day when I am ready. There are some questions I want to ask (if you don't mind me asking and you don't have to answer all of them) but do you have an all-time favourite coat colour/pattern/overlay of ragdoll? Or if you have more than one favourite, what are they? Do you walk your cats outside leashed? (I know some people do this their cats, including ragdolls, even though generally they are indoor cats) Do you own any other animal apart from cats? Do you have any plans in getting more pets, especially ragdoll cats, somewhere in the distant future? Last few questions; how old are Teemo and Arya currently? Which of them is the older one (if you know this information) and what were the colours of their collars when they were still with their breeder? Also, if you are having trouble getting ideas for videos here are a few I'm not sure you've done yet (correct if I'm wrong on this): 1. About the ragdoll (their history, their general personality, the common health problems, & what colours/patterns they come in etc). 2. How to distinguish an ethical breeder from a bad one. 3. Bonding tips either for the owner or for cats who have trouble bonding/adjusting to another cat or a dog. 4. Cat-related tools so useful you can't live without it. 5. What was it like getting cats from an ethical breeder? Again, these are just ideas if you are having trouble coming up with videos, you don't have to do them. Hey Aisha good questions! It maybe potentially the lighting. They both came from the same litter so they should have a similar color. Teemo's coat is lighter and Arya is definitely darker. Yeah colors can be tough, and what the breeder and my pedigree papers say is that Teemo and Arya are cream. The cat association has documented Teemo and Arya's lineage of cream color cats to up to 5 generations. Haha I can only trust that the experts know better than me. Hope that helps! Haha I am glad you enjoyed the videos and thanks for giving me such a good video ideas. You named a few in the works such as choosing a breeder. I want to do an in depth ragdoll history, but will definitely require more research on my end. The history is actually quite interesting and really one breeder made it happen for all of us to have ragdoll cats. So answers to your other questions 1. My favorite pattern for sure is bicolor. Its like the classic look that most people go for. In terms of coat color its blue and cream. The color is just so striking. They are just so beautiful haha with the deep blue eyes. 2. I do walk my cats with a leash outside. They are still slowly adjusting to seeing other people. Will have a video of this later. They are some leashes that are more comfortable for that cat. 3. Oh I only own my two cats. 4. I think maybe a couple of years down the line will get two more ragdoll cats. Both cream bicolor from the same breeder and from Teemo and Arya's lineage. Teemo and Arya will be uncle and Aunts or grandpa or grandmas haha. I think it would be cool to recreate a family from the same bloodline. Kind of like us humans. 5. Teemo and Arya are about 1 year 4 months old. 6. Hmm I am not sure which one was born first. 7. I don't believe breeder put any collars on them. Homer is an outdoor cat. He looks almost like this pair but I think he is even prettier. I think he was abandoned from a trailer house about 1/4 mile away when the wife got sick and the husband left. Somehow he survived on his own for about 3 months in the summer until he showed up here soaking wet in a thunder storm. He is terrified of thunder and loves to hunt at the pond just behind the house. Wonderful cat though. Gentle, playful, gets along with everybody of the other five. His tail is always moving and he has a perfectly even high pitched soft meow. He comes in a lot and lounges but has a wide streak of mischief in him.
We’ve got a female ragdoll and male ragdoll and I’m pretty sure they swapped personalities. The male is very affectionate and low key whereas the female is very vocal and outgoing.
Our Siberian kitten is a girl and this is definitely true for us too. She loves to cuddle, but also loves to explore on her own. Isn't super interested the mailman, and doesn't make a fuss when we leave the house. Fairly quiet in general, small meows saved for moments when she really wants to make a point 😆
@@fionnmaccumhaill3257 Turned out that one of the ragdolls was actually a boy, so we got a boy (who we named Rocco) and a girl (who we called Willow). And we’re so happy with them, they’re arguably the best thing in our lives a year on. Extremely loving and affectionate, they’re not like any other cat we’ve ever had. They follow us all throughout the house and just love being around us! My best advice is definitely get 2, while we’re at work they have each other for company, groom each other and play together. I don’t think I can ever go back to having a normal breed of cat after a year with these guys

Here are the answer to your questions Aggressive: Ragdoll cats generally are not aggressive, but the few I have seen tend to be males. Playful and Calm: Both Affectionate: Both (Female tend to be affectionate towards their owner while male with everyone) Health Issues: The same if you feed them a good raw meat diet Congratulations on getting a new ragdoll cat! They are a pleasure to have. I can add that idea to a list of videos to do.
Hey good question! The truth is that the sex of the cat really doesn't matter. Although there are some behavioral differences between male and female cats as they grow from kittens to adults, a cat's genetics and environment play a bigger role in how well the two of you will bond. So take the time to meet a few cats and pick the one that you think will be your best friend. For example Arya my female cat is super affectionate. Hope that helps!

I have 2 ragdoll British shorthair half breed female kittens and I just love them. Very smart, very loving and very easy for the the 1st timers out there. I adopted 2 to avoid separation anxiety and also to guarantee myself a social life; these are velcro cats that need to be not to far from you so if you are out all day then don't get one.

I have a male and he is such a baby. He's HUGE but he is always trying to sleep near my head. He begs for me to rub his face after he finishes a meal. He's also extremely playful which our domestic female hates. Well she just hates him in general. He's very floppy. We always find him laying on his back around the house. He also likes to drag his toys around and will even carry his feather wand upstairs and to me if he wants me to play with him. So much character.
Completely opposite of my male and female Ragdolls! My female is crazy always in to trouble and my boy loves to always be on top of me and definitely more chill and a lot more affectionate. While my female is affectionate and wants to be near me, it typically includes mischievous behavior before settling down. Never has my male been this way so I can’t say that there is any true truth to male vs female.
I have a 7 year old rescue female chocolate point ragdoll. Super affectionate, follows me everywhere and loves cuddles. She is hesitant to say hi to new people though. However my little girl is only 6,5 lbs. I guess they come in all sizes! She must be the runt of the litter.

My girl turns 5 this year and is the typical annoying little sister and an absolute diva. She often starts playtime with her brother until he gets annoyed and swats her. She’ll then roll on her back, play victim and blame it on her brother. She’s a little troublemaker if I ever saw one. She’s sweet, talkative and loves to be next to us or on us. She’s on the smaller side so it doesn’t bother me much when she sleeps on my chest 😂
I think my male blue mitted must be small… he’s 4.5years old and weighs 4.5kg fully grown. He’s the sweetest little charmer with the most incredible navy blue eyes. Very vocal at sunset and he meows to announce that he’s about to go to the litter box😂
me personally, i prefer female cats in general but female cats by themselves have their own difficulties. For instant, my father has 2 cats, both siblings but one male and one female. From the same litter, the boy is a gray short hair with green eyes while his younger sister is solid black with yellow eyes but with long fur. I personally love the boy even tho i've always had female cats because they tend to be more loving while this boy is very loving while his sister doesn't give any love unless she wants something. I guess that's the difference between normal cats and ragdolls, ragdolls seem to equally love ya while normal cats it all depends on the cat. But If you were to get a cat, i would suggest getting a pair of cats if you don't already have a cat at home because cats need companionship and usually they are more happy when there's another cat to play with than be alone. So i'd suggest having 2 cats at least, 2 is usually the best number but if there's more, i would take the whole litter.

Are these actual facts or just what you get from your ragdoll cats? Because cats do have different personalities, and our two female siblings have very different temperaments as well. Just asking, because lately I notice how people try to impose every human gender stereotype possible to cats, and I think it gets a bit annoying (I think this is wrong in so many ways) Very cute and informative video anyways! Our two bonded male and female sibling cats' personality resemble human male and female. The male is like a gentleman, quite, lazier and just love to eat. The female is vocal, spunky, more energic.
New sub here. My wife ( who is a self confessed dog lover ) warmed to cats after we started getting visits from a 3 year old female cat, who belongs to our neighbour. She visits us 3 - 4 times a week, staying as long as 10h at a time, for the food, cuddles and peaceful sleep. As we live in a block of flats with no access to a garden, have decided to get indoor only cat. Ragdolls were a strong contenders but finally we decided to get a ragamuffin, as we think it will suit us slightly better. Needles to say, as someone who has grown up with cats, I was delighted. Now, the spanner in the works: I have ( obviously ) agreed to getting a cat, but only under one non-negotiable condition, that we get two cats😬. Thankfully, she didn't call my bluff and now we are getting two, a male and a female ( another one of my conditions😈) from the same litter. 19/11/22 will be the day I happily become a slave for the rest of their lives🥰. Fingers X my neighbours cat won't get too mad at us and will continue to visit, as I love to have her around.
hmmm I am not familiar with all the breeds. But ragdolls are very chill and friendly and would love to be friends with anyone. So they mix well with most breeds.
I have a male and female blue point and seal point and there’s 2 month difference 10 months is the youngest but she’s only 3.6kg and my male is almost 8kg and he’s only 11 almost 12 months?
are your cats neutered. it's because i also want cats that are from the same family a male and a female but is the best thing to do so they can not have children together. BTW I love your videos they teach me so much about cats and ragdolls and I'm sure they also teach others a lot😄

My female ragdoll cat wants to be near me day and night. (I'm retired.) I got her free as an older kitten about 6 years ago from a family who were moving out of state and said that they couldn't take her with them. (???!!!) I knew NOTHING about ragdoll cats or I wouldn't have gotten her. I was getting another cat to play with my boy stray kitten who was bored indoors, having been an outdoor cat of course. My ragdoll cat doesn't like how rough my other cat can get, but he's gotten kinder over time and she's gotten more of a backbone over time and they have a developed a decent, if not real close, relationship. I love both my cats equally as much although they're very different. My male cat is one of the smartest cats I've ever had. My ragdoll - well, she's cute and gives me sweet kisses!
Ragdolls cars are bigger than mine ( Minouche 7 ans Willow almost 10. The sound is différent too, Willow has a deep, sweat mew I thing only black cats do that en this. My cats are thé same différence of character than Arya and Teemo, Minouche likes to stay beside me and when I cuddle her, Willow give me little slaps ..sometimes I Can cuddle him liké a Teddy Bear.

I don't have rag dolls just plain old cats. My girl is not outgoing with other people my boy is. It has nothing to do with gender but personality and any male would be bigger than a female. At the proper time for both males and females of any cat breed and I've had Siamese until my non Siamese pair now, spay and neuter! It cuts down to eliminating tumors. In neutered male cats can be more aggressive and neutering cuts it to nothing and it can cut down to eliminate spraying to mark territory. I'm on my 3rd male. Once neutered they were calmer. Spaying prevents heat. No squirming around and yowling. If gotten as kittens of either gender it's necessary for you to handle them and show affection so they'll be affectionate. But if they don't want to be handled don't force it. Personality and how you handle your cat determines how they'll be male or female as I'm on my second female. Once my boy was neutered he stopped attacking his sister with a lot more zeal and with both fixed no worry about mating.
Love my female kitty cat. Got her from animal rescue she was born in the wild, don't know anything about her breeding am pretty sure she has rag doll in her as she has all the traits apart from her colouring. A big fluffy black an white girl 💖
My male ragdoll is definetly the most social, affectionate & Vocal but is obsessed with going outside and hates to sit around indoors, he is now 15 years old and his behaviours have changed to crying & vocalising whenever he is inside.

Abe is a tee cup and Cami is a munchkin female. Just as your video reports much is exact. Abe talks constantly, demands more attention and dominates Cami. She seems to be content being dominated. They are both affectionate and after some growing, they both get along most of the time. Do you leave them alone often?

Haha I am glad you enjoyed the videos and thanks for giving me such a good video ideas. You named a few in the works such as choosing a breeder. I want to do an in depth ragdoll history, but will definitely require more research on my end. The history is actually quite interesting and really one breeder made it happen for all of us to have ragdoll cats.
So answers to your other questions
1. My favorite pattern for sure is bicolor. Its like the classic look that most people go for. In terms of coat color its blue and cream. The color is just so striking. They are just so beautiful haha with the deep blue eyes.
2. I do walk my cats with a leash outside. They are still slowly adjusting to seeing other people. Will have a video of this later. They are some leashes that are more comfortable for that cat.
3. Oh I only own my two cats.
4. I think maybe a couple of years down the line will get two more ragdoll cats. Both cream bicolor from the same breeder and from Teemo and Arya's lineage. Teemo and Arya will be uncle and Aunts or grandpa or grandmas haha. I think it would be cool to recreate a family from the same bloodline. Kind of like us humans.
5. Teemo and Arya are about 1 year 4 months old.
6. Hmm I am not sure which one was born first.
7. I don't believe breeder put any collars on them. They actually don't really like having a collar on them.

Homer is an outdoor cat. He looks almost like this pair but I think he is even prettier. I think he was abandoned from a trailer house about 1/4 mile away when the wife got sick and the husband left. Somehow he survived on his own for about 3 months in the summer until he showed up here soaking wet in a thunder storm. He is terrified of thunder and loves to hunt at the pond just behind the house. Wonderful cat though. Gentle, playful, gets along with everybody of the other five. His tail is always moving and he has a perfectly even high pitched soft meow. He comes in a lot and lounges but has a wide streak of mischief in him.

We’ve got a female ragdoll and male ragdoll and I’m pretty sure they swapped personalities. The male is very affectionate and low key whereas the female is very vocal and outgoing.
Our Siberian kitten is a girl and this is definitely true for us too. She loves to cuddle, but also loves to explore on her own. Isn't super interested the mailman, and doesn't make a fuss when we leave the house. Fairly quiet in general, small meows saved for moments when she really wants to make a point 😆

@@fionnmaccumhaill3257 Turned out that one of the ragdolls was actually a boy, so we got a boy (who we named Rocco) and a girl (who we called Willow). And we’re so happy with them, they’re arguably the best thing in our lives a year on. Extremely loving and affectionate, they’re not like any other cat we’ve ever had. They follow us all throughout the house and just love being around us! My best advice is definitely get 2, while we’re at work they have each other for company, groom each other and play together. I don’t think I can ever go back to having a normal breed of cat after a year with these guys

Here are the answer to your questions
Aggressive: Ragdoll cats generally are not aggressive, but the few I have seen tend to be males.
Playful and Calm: Both
Affectionate: Both (Female tend to be affectionate towards their owner while male with everyone)
Health Issues: The same if you feed them a good raw meat diet

Hey good question! The truth is that the sex of the cat really doesn't matter. Although there are some behavioral differences between male and female cats as they grow from kittens to adults, a cat's genetics and environment play a bigger role in how well the two of you will bond. So take the time to meet a few cats and pick the one that you think will be your best friend. For example Arya my female cat is super affectionate. Hope that helps!
I think sometimes is does depend on the owners gender and the gender of the cat. I’m a female and ive noticed that male cats seem to like me more than females.

I would like to think so! I try to care for my cats as best as I can!
I have a male and he is such a baby. He's HUGE but he is always trying to sleep near my head. He begs for me to rub his face after he finishes a meal. He's also extremely playful which our domestic female hates. Well she just hates him in general. He's very floppy. We always find him laying on his back around the house. He also likes to drag his toys around and will even carry his feather wand upstairs and to me if he wants me to play with him. So much character.

Completely opposite of my male and female Ragdolls! My female is crazy always in to trouble and my boy loves to always be on top of me and definitely more chill and a lot more affectionate. While my female is affectionate and wants to be near me, it typically includes mischievous behavior before settling down. Never has my male been this way so I can’t say that there is any true truth to male vs female.
I have a 7 year old rescue female chocolate point ragdoll. Super affectionate, follows me everywhere and loves cuddles. She is hesitant to say hi to new people though. However my little girl is only 6,5 lbs. I guess they come in all sizes! She must be the runt of the litter.

My girl turns 5 this year and is the typical annoying little sister and an absolute diva. She often starts playtime with her brother until he gets annoyed and swats her. She’ll then roll on her back, play victim and blame it on her brother. She’s a little troublemaker if I ever saw one. She’s sweet, talkative and loves to be next to us or on us. She’s on the smaller side so it doesn’t bother me much when she sleeps on my chest 😂

I think my male blue mitted must be small… he’s 4.5years old and weighs 4.5kg fully grown.
He’s the sweetest little charmer with the most incredible navy blue eyes. Very vocal at sunset and he meows to announce that he’s about to go to the litter box😂
me personally, i prefer female cats in general but female cats by themselves have their own difficulties. For instant, my father has 2 cats, both siblings but one male and one female. From the same litter, the boy is a gray short hair with green eyes while his younger sister is solid black with yellow eyes but with long fur. I personally love the boy even tho i've always had female cats because they tend to be more loving while this boy is very loving while his sister doesn't give any love unless she wants something. I guess that's the difference between normal cats and ragdolls, ragdolls seem to equally love ya while normal cats it all depends on the cat. But If you were to get a cat, i would suggest getting a pair of cats if you don't already have a cat at home because cats need companionship and usually they are more happy when there's another cat to play with than be alone. So i'd suggest having 2 cats at least, 2 is usually the best number but if there's more, i would take the whole litter.

Our two bonded male and female sibling cats' personality resemble human male and female. The male is like a gentleman, quite, lazier and just love to eat. The female is vocal, spunky, more energic.

New sub here. My wife ( who is a self confessed dog lover ) warmed to cats after we started getting visits from a 3 year old female cat, who belongs to our neighbour. She visits us 3 - 4 times a week, staying as long as 10h at a time, for the food, cuddles and peaceful sleep.
As we live in a block of flats with no access to a garden, have decided to get indoor only cat. Ragdolls were a strong contenders but finally we decided to get a ragamuffin, as we think it will suit us slightly better. Needles to say, as someone who has grown up with cats, I was delighted.
Now, the spanner in the works: I have ( obviously ) agreed to getting a cat, but only under one non-negotiable condition, that we get two cats😬.
Thankfully, she didn't call my bluff and now we are getting two, a male and a female ( another one of my conditions😈) from the same litter.
19/11/22 will be the day I happily become a slave for the rest of their lives🥰.
Fingers X my neighbours cat won't get too mad at us and will continue to visit, as I love to have her around.

hmmm I am not familiar with all the breeds. But ragdolls are very chill and friendly and would love to be friends with anyone. So they mix well with most breeds.

My female ragdoll cat wants to be near me day and night. (I'm retired.) I got her free as an older kitten about 6 years ago from a family who were moving out of state and said that they couldn't take her with them. (???!!!) I knew NOTHING about ragdoll cats or I wouldn't have gotten her. I was getting another cat to play with my boy stray kitten who was bored indoors, having been an outdoor cat of course. My ragdoll cat doesn't like how rough my other cat can get, but he's gotten kinder over time and she's gotten more of a backbone over time and they have a developed a decent, if not real close, relationship. I love both my cats equally as much although they're very different. My male cat is one of the smartest cats I've ever had. My ragdoll - well, she's cute and gives me sweet kisses!

Ragdolls cars are bigger than mine ( Minouche 7 ans Willow almost 10. The sound is différent too, Willow has a deep, sweat mew I thing only black cats do that en this.
My cats are thé same différence of character than Arya and Teemo, Minouche likes to stay beside me and when I cuddle her, Willow give me little slaps ..sometimes I Can cuddle him liké a Teddy Bear.

Yep that is normal! Ragdoll cats take about 3 years to fully mature. Teemo is around that weight too and he is one year and 4 months.

I don't have rag dolls just plain old cats. My girl is not outgoing with other people my boy is. It has nothing to do with gender but personality and any male would be bigger than a female. At the proper time for both males and females of any cat breed and I've had Siamese until my non Siamese pair now, spay and neuter! It cuts down to eliminating tumors. In neutered male cats can be more aggressive and neutering cuts it to nothing and it can cut down to eliminate spraying to mark territory. I'm on my 3rd male. Once neutered they were calmer. Spaying prevents heat. No squirming around and yowling. If gotten as kittens of either gender it's necessary for you to handle them and show affection so they'll be affectionate. But if they don't want to be handled don't force it. Personality and how you handle your cat determines how they'll be male or female as I'm on my second female. Once my boy was neutered he stopped attacking his sister with a lot more zeal and with both fixed no worry about mating.

My male ragdoll is definetly the most social, affectionate & Vocal but is obsessed with going outside and hates to sit around indoors, he is now 15 years old and his behaviours have changed to crying & vocalising whenever he is inside.

Abe is a tee cup and Cami is a munchkin female. Just as your video reports much is exact. Abe talks constantly, demands more attention and dominates Cami. She seems to be content being dominated. They are both affectionate and after some growing, they both get along most of the time. Do you leave them alone often?

I adopted my ragdoll cat when she was 8 weeks old. She lived to be nearly 17 years old. Adopting her was the best decision I ever made. Ragdolls are the best, and I miss my cat every day.
