Hey Laith a little AE tip to help it burn down a bit faster. Invoke devotio, it's a button next to the sacrifice in the religion tab, it gives you tyranny which helps burn down AE much faster. It's totally worth it if you have a stable country and lots of cash to offset the increased disloyalty from high tyranny.
There is not really any point in gentle looting. The harshest choice kills 4 pops, which is negligible when you're large, and the extra money is more helpful when you're small. If they're not integrated culture, or if you're not planning on taking the city, the pops matter even less.
This is a great campaign. Hopefully there will be more. I feel like I'm watching more of your Imperator: Rome videos a lot more often. It's a nice chance of pace from watching the other paradox games.
Imperator at launch deserved a lot of the criticism it got, the game took a lot of the worst / most outdated parts of EU4. It is genuinely fun now however
16:11 my friend, I think you are forgetting to open the bonus events that come up on the queued events panel on the bottom right of your screen right above the map. Easy to miss that panel, but there’s good bonus events and flavor you’re missing out on by letting them expire.
Laith, comments about double trade good bonus. Immediately see's single Wild Game, giving +4% tribesman happiness he is trading for. "What's that, I don't need that. I'm trading for that? Cancel trade." Never even bothers to check the double bonus giving Archer discipline, the reason he got the trade to begin with. Classic gamer move, done it myself more than I care to admit.
Legions can get triumphs, special modifiers for winning, and negatives for losing. So whoever you play next, I would like to see a Legion focus. One my Favourites is the Bosporan Kingdom, mix of Horse Archers and elite Greek infantry as you get access to both Greek and Persian traditions to buff those unit types. Their history is cool and why I liked them before the game, as there's a reason they have mixed heritage.
Laith, i heard you like fun starts (read: pain) with OP outcomes. Heraklea Pontica AKA the Achamenid Tyrant Lady Amastris. You can reform the Achaemenids.
I recomend you to use "planning mode" for tech. And also check laws, and what tech opens what. Religion tech tree hase MASSIVE convertion bonuses via opening spetial laws. Some time you want to quick grab tech and sometimes you shoul only go for something you aclually need (as conversion bonus)

Please stop showing yourself in your videos. As long as you do this, i will not subscribe. I know people might want to see you, but in paradox games, there's too much going on to show a face. I'd rather see the timestamps like what year it is and the mini map and everything else on screen, but you usually block important things, not necessarily in this video but in other ones, especially CK3 videos. In my opinion it's very important to see the date, especially since im all about storylines, so dates matter, but i also like to see the whole screen and mini map and all the possibilities. The point is that i need to see EVERYTHING, and showing yourself gets in the way. Im just saying this so that you get a possible subscriber, not as criticism.

I never had a problem with Imperator all the people crying and moaning about Mana killed this game.
